- E.T., an alien from the planet Brodo Asogi, finds himself at the home of Elliot Taylor from San Fernando Valley, who helps him get home and escape the government. It would be proof of extraterrestrial life, but some people would deny this. Until the Pretenders came along, of course...
- Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp, a secret U.S. government facility based on Lake Oblongata, which secretly has the mind power giving element psitanium, gets a new member in the form of circus runaway Razputin Aquato. - An army of giant mutated frogs attack the town of Eureka, CA. The town does manage to fight back, killing them all off in a week. After this event, the town remembers the week as Frogpocalypse, leading to The Muppets performing a benefit concert there, with Kermit assuring everyone he is not affiliated with the mutant frogs.
- North Korea is enveloped in a mist that mutates the animals living inside it. South Korea, knowing the animals can't leave the country, make the DMZ into a wall.
2002
- A gold statue of King Richard I appears in England. After a person negatively curses it after stubbing his toe on it, he pukes a living pig two weeks after the comment was made. It happens to 20 more people before the Royal Family takes it into Buckingham Palace so it cannot affect anyone.
- A lion statue with the power to become animated by blood appears in Italy. After hearing news of the Richard I statue in England, it is taken by the Italian government for study. After its power is revealed, it is thrown into the ocean.

- NASA finds a shock when a rover discovers the faces of dead American presidents on the moon's dark side. It is jokingly called Mount Rushless. However, the jokes soon end as that same rover would encounter the dark silhouette of John F. Kennedy, who lifts the rover by sheer force and flings it into the sun. As rovers are sent to explore Mount Rushless, more silhouettes of the old leaders of the free world appear, slaughtering any rovers (even some astronauts) who dare interact with them. The silhouettes become known as Pretenders, and some conspiracy theorists believe that Geoff's nightmares are starting to spread. NASA denies these rumors, and explains that the Pretenders are proof of extraterrestrial life. NASA has yet to return to the moon.
- The Knight of 9 Swords joins The Avengers, the same team Tony Stark (Iron Man) is in. The Knight of 9 Swords is a supernatural entity representing a tall figure in medieval armor pierced by 9 different immovable swords. He was one of the worst and most vicious Knights Templar during the Crusades, and was cursed by 9 different witches to walk the Earth forever after he killed them and their loved ones. He is now forced to repent by slaying ACTUAL evil in the name of good. During the 90s, he finally realized how horrible his sins actually were. Although he joined The Avengers due to his skills, he is reluctant about fighting evil, and his self-loathing problems might not make it better.
- Marissa Yecht, a young New Yorker, was busy hiding dirty mags in the garbage can of the alley behind her mother's apartment (Since she didn't want mom finding out her obsession with bunny girls) when a Nightmare begins to manifest in her spot. She becomes Teddy Gorehees, an axe-wielding murderer from one of Geoff's nightmares. She not only can summon a fire axe at will, she now has incredible strength, durability, and a prowess in tracking. She works for the Nightmare Hunters now, and she has a stable job slaying the Nightmares that helped make her who she is. Yes, she knows about Jason Voorhees. She likes the comparison, honestly.
- Japanese explorers in the Arctic find a silver obelisk made of a frozen silver liquid, like mercury. Upon thawing, however, it turns out to be a sort of silver-colored water. When it is accidentally spilled onto a computer, it makes the computer malfunction while the liquid connects to it wirelessly, like a liquid computer. Test subjects are brought in to consume the liquid. They all go insane and kill themselves within minutes of drinking, most of them saying they saw the most unholy place imaginable in the known universe before killing themselves. The Japanese dub the liquid Liquid Hell and plan to use it in prisons.
- Robots known as Autobots from the distant planet of Cybertron escape a war with the evil Decepticons and enter the life of Sam Witwicky, a simple man who finds himself caught in a war over a pair of sunglasses that contain a map to where a powerful weapon known as the AllSpark (hidden within the Hoover Dam) that could decide the fate of the Autobots themselves. In the end, the Autobots reign victorious, Megatron and the Decepticons are killed, and their bodies are thrown in the Laurentian Abyss. The leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, promises to protect Earth from whatever harms it.
- The Avengers and Autobots work together for the first time to kill CHARGATHAKON, a Nightmare of Geoff inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos that killed 3 blocks worth of people. It ripped off Optimus's arm and nearly blinded Iron Man for life with a ray of Dark-Magic, but it was finally defeated when Bumblebee strangled it with a crane from a construction site, giving Marissa and the Knight of 9 Swords the opportunity to decapitate it. Every hero thanks themselves on each others efforts, Optimus rests to have his arm rebuilt, and many people believe the Avengers, Autobots, and Nightmare Hunters should combine into one team of heroes. Meanwhile, back in New York City, the decision is made for more stronger Nightmare Hunters to mix with the weak, so they might be able to stop another threat like CHARGATHAKON.
- In Muncie, IN, Garfield the cat has been hiding his human like intelligence from his owner Jon Arbuckle. He has been frenemies with Odie, a dog belonging to Jon's long lost friend Lyman that's also under Garfield's situation. Since his cartoonist job hasn't been paying well, Jon moves to New York City to becomes a Nightmare Hunter, and is put on the same squad as Marissa. He chokes a vampire to death on his very first mission. The pets are OK with the change in locale, but once they find out Jon's new job, their opinion on him changes. Garfield still will poke fun at Jon, but he looks up to him a bit more. Odie becomes more fond with his owner, spending more time with him than Garfield.

- An artwork known as The Stupidity of Man appears one day in The Louvre museum, despite the fact the museum curators and staff have never heard of this piece or remember buying it. The piece consists of a large metal orb with a hole in it covered in various signs saying not to put your hand in the hole. A kid puts his hand in it, and horror ensues when his arm is cutoff by whirring rusty saws inside the orb. Because of this, the artwork was thrown away in the dumpster, where it remains fully functional. The proof came when handless hobos were seen near the dumpster the piece was thrown away in.
- Mert Kawakami, a Japanese immigrant who works as a bus driver in Stanville, FL, discovers a spiritual entity inside him. The entity claims to embody his childhood dream for exploring the stars, and he has come back to haunt him for forgetting about those dreams and growing up. As a result, Mert gains the power to fly with ease, shoot lasers, and create energy fields. He becomes Starman, and gets to work saving his hometown and state from danger. He considers joining the Avengers.
- The Noodle Arm Brothers, two men with the power of stretchy arms, steal the Declaration of Independence for ransom money. They are soon defeated by Iron Man and the Knight of 9 Swords
- The New Tarot, a new set of cards made up by the cults of the King of Fools, becomes an internet sensation. Made mostly by theorists willing to fill in the gaps, these were put into PDFs and physical release. The cards represent the Holiarchy, the pantheon of gods that are a court of 3 hierarchies: The Courts of Threes, Wolves, and Fools, with The King of Fools as the most powerful of the gods.

- A car in Berlin becomes a spider like creature, terrorizing Germany for two weeks before being defeated by the Autobots, believing it to be a Decepticon.

- Clark Kent, an alien from planet Krypton, learns to be a hero for the first time after he saves Metropolis (a city in New York that's close to Gotham City) from evil Kryptonian General Zod. He is later visited by Nick Fury, and joins the Avengers under the moniker Superman.
2014
- John Wick, previously "Baba Yaga", the top enforcer in the Russian mafia, lives a peaceful life in New York City until the Russian mafia kills his beagle, a present from his recently deceased wife. He goes to Russia to kill Mafia boss Viggo. After this, he goes home, never to be provoked. He later joins the Nightmare Hunters.
2015
- One day, blood rains over the Vatican. An already distressing situation becomes worse when the blood is revealed to have come from Pope Francis. Many conspiracy theorists believe Pope Francis might have more sinister powers than what people know of.
- After Scott Lang, a well-meaning thief, discovers a suit made by scientist Hank Pym that makes the wearer incredibly small, he tries it on. He learns of Hope van Dyne, another person who Pym knew, and he is manipulated by Pym to steal another shrinking suit he made. After defeating Pym's former protégé Darren Cross, Scott (Ant-Man) and Hope (The Wasp) start dating. Both would later join the Avengers.
2018
- An entity claiming to be the devil wants Donald Trump's autograph. Donald Trump does it, and the entity disappears. Not only do Catholics begin to abhor Trump for dealing with the Devil, but also vote for Biden in 2020.
2019
- In the Fawcett City suburb of Philadelphia, 14 year old Billy Batson gains the power to transform into an adult superhero, and uses his powers to stop a mad doctor from releasing the Seven Deadly Sins, along with sharing his power to his friends. He would later join the Avengers along with them.
