Andy Niemi is a normal teen girl, dealing with normal struggles: figuring out what she wants to do with herself, getting along with her single father, agonizing about how to come out, missing her old friends, and fighting off the isolation of the massively undermanned mining station. Just her and her father there to watch over the automated systems stripping everything precious out of the dormant comet; unless you count the artificially intelligent repair crew as company.
