She Sold Her Soul To The Company Store

Really like the setting so far!

[X] Don't explain yourself, at least at first, and just jump into questioning them. Once you know something about their culture and how they learned NorthAm, you can figure out what story to tell.

I think it would be more fun to try to be honest and then realize that the bugs just don't grok it.

Not closing it tonight, but I think tomorrow will give us enough time to discuss? And then I need to think about what your arguments here can be.

  • [x] This whole thing is getting tiresome. Be honest and direct, explain what and who you are, and hope your bluntness is met with direct answers when you ask questions.

[X] Take the middle ground- these bugs clearly don't understand what you are, there's no point explaining that to them. But beyond that, honesty is probably the best policy, and being blunt about the... partnership that you've entered into might give you a few more straight answers about what's going on.
-[X] How long have these people lived here? What do they know of your civilization? How do interactions between their people and your own usually go?
[x] Play along. You can fake this 'Demon' thing. You've seem sims, and played games, right? You'll put on a bit of a show with holo effects and make sure this Har Valiz takes you seriously.

Okay, either way I slice it, be direct wins!

So let's see how this strategy works out for you.

Weird thing that's come up while doing the tarot spreads:

Tricksy: You think in circles, spirals, and clever lies. A little dishonesty goes a long way, and never hurt anybody... that you didn't mean to hurt. [You treat all minor arcana as one rank higher when you're lying to someone or being manipulative, but only if you have a good story prepared.]

Remember that you have a trait for lying to people and spinning stories.

Questions like, "What is the fated pilgrimage?" and "You are using words unfamiliar to me, where did you learn them?" or "May I speak with another of my kind in this matter?" could probably go a long way. If your holder thing gets damaged that's probably bad, right? Lethal?

If they refuse to answer your questions, then you should be direct, but you want them nervous enough to stay respectful without being scared enough to lash out, and if worst comes to worst you can request to be returned to the building you came from, right?

....
Whoops, looks like I missed the cut. I should've read the next... 2 pages? Wow. Well, no matter what I'm eager to see how this plays out. It's proving to be an awesome story so far and Ayax is totally cute, so I hope it keeps going.
