Sorry everyone, but I'm gonna have to put this Quest on hiatus for now. It's not just the lack of attention this has been getting, I've run Quests with a low number of voters before, but also just a case of both writer's block and also character block, even though (most) of the characters are based on pre-existing people, or maybe because of that. It sounds petty, but I don't feel as motivated or am as excited about this as I was with my previous Quest (Persona: The Beautiful). Which is weird, since I'm no less into the history of the Sengoku period right now as I was with SMT when I wrote my previous Quest.

There's always the chance I may come back to this though, so I'm still putting this on hiatus and not dropping it outright. If you do have any questions about what I had planned (planning and writing not being the same thing of course) like about the Uesugi betrayal and beyond, you can always PM me or ask me here and I'll spoiler tag my answer.

A shame, but understandable. At least it was a good bit of fun while it lasted.

As for questions, well, now that he has been teased, I am somewhat curious about your ideas for Hanzo Hattori.

Admittedly I didn't have much of an idea for Hattori Hanzo's personality at all, Ii Naomasa and to a lesser extent Munetoshi Yagyu were the Tokugawa figures I was thinking of concentrating on. But I did have to agree that it was weird that the series didn't have him at all (aside from an NPC in 3), so I felt I should come up with something.

His main thing (not a spoiler, it would've come up immediately when he was introduced) was portal creation, 'thinking with portals' so to say, sort of an exaggeration of his teleporting and escaping in folklore.

Like, I feel bad about putting this Quest on hiatus early given Sengoku Basara's (normally) upbeat nature, especially since I actually completed my previous one, and that I quite liked some of the character ideas I came up with. It doesn't help that I've recently shifted my medication, that also may be affecting my mood.

Another factor may be that I'm more motivated to write my own characters (or interpretations in this case) than canon ones, like P:TB had a few canon characters but was mostly original. This Quest so far though has mostly been the other way around.

Edit: Oh, and I guess learning some kinda unfortunate things about the series' producer, which I've gone over in the 'Problematic Fiction You Enjoy' thread, doesn't help on top of all this.
