One of my Beta Readers made a comment about me posting my stories here, which I'm not sure on. However, perhaps an Index/discussion thread might be more appropriate?

These are for my meta-verse stories where Sheila Henderson (Daughter of Athena) get's transplanted into different Crossover 'verses and the 'core' reality where she comes from.

(As a note, I update http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7075355/1/Evolved_Scion today with two chapters.)

And yes, all the stories do have a basis together, though I'm working on making it all work at once. Kind of a moving target rewrite thing at points though.

I enjoy your Scion stories greatly Arthur. Thank you for continuing to post them

Scion is interesting, but like to threat the crossover of myths as a bonus, and generaly only use one phanteon.

Honorverse is definitely not 'abandoned' but I admit I'm a little bogged down in Yeltsin 3 and how Sheila is going to be interacting with Grayson during *that* crisis.

The Scion game system is probably the best system, even if some of the rules are a little cludgey, so that's definitely a good thing, IMO! It really deserves a lot more noise and buzz about it.

Well, it just really was built from the ground up to scale very high (Epic Strength *easily* gets to the point of juggling two Empire State buildings if you really want to.)

Epic Strength get's to the point of "Yes, I can" level, juggling the late World Trade Center is nothing.

You should definitely post your work here - it is much easier to produce comprehensive response using the forum, and it is also possible to have actual discussions. An index/discussion thread also works.

On the note of your work, a little (or not so little) possibly request - after you finished some of your current insertions, would you be interested in doing a Dragon Age one? Considering that setting, it would be very interesting.

P.S. I know this is not precisely ontopic, but... An idea: during the first Yeltsin, as she charges far superior ship with no thought about survival, Honor Harrington exalts. Solar exaltation probably.

Which, going by some DC fans, is not nearly enough unless you can use Ultimate Strength constantly (I'm a fan of the fan-made strength-doubling lift knacks. Allows you to get stronger without massively overkill damage.)

Dragon Age is having a hard time holding my attention, actually. It seems rather too generic in some ways. Not nearly as cool as Mass Effect, for instance.

Honor Exalting would be funny, but very setting breaking without someone going to find one of the exaltations.

DC and Marvel are stupid. There was one issue where superman sneezed and he destroyed star systems like they were made of junk, Thor is almost ridiculous as silver age superman and Silver Surver have abilities ranging from 'lolno' to Jimmy Olsen.

It get's worse when everyone is put on the same comic at the same time, because at this point it becomes a fucking pissing contest between the other heroes/villains.

The smaller chapters are too small, IMO. That's why I tend to put them in clumps. If I was writing a full novel and posting the whole thing at once, I might be willing to upload it in smaller, individual chapters.

Chapters less than 3K are almost teaser, IMO.

I've actually been working at tweaking the levels a bit (Sheila's invulnerability in the Evo one is not very absolute, as she's actually been the worst hurt out of the X-Men actually in the whole story.) Marvel can scale up a bit (and will with Magneto's Acolytes and Sentinels upcoming, of course.)

Interesting. The more of these I read, the more I wonder what other realities Sheila will end up in, and what she'll do to them. Potterverse or Buffyverse, for example? Either of their styles of magic fueled by Legend could be pretty damn terrifying, as would D&D magic or Psionics (though a D&D/Scion crossover is a headache I don't recommend). Likewise, the thought of someone with Epic Intelligence studying B5 technomagic is amusing.

I imagine she's be quite disruptive to the Nasuverse, as well.

Well, whatever you do, please continue. We look forward to it.

Nice one, the fact that the cops over the city are so pragmatical towards the supernatural is quite interesting, and that leaves me wondering if you're going to increase the relationship between the demigods and the forces of humanity and to what level, after all it is useful for a girl who is too young for a drivers licence, and who owns and have a frecuent need of using a gun to have a few veteran cops in the know.
Some stunts don't lend themselves to the shadows, so expect that a lot of religious fundamentalists are going to be *very* unhappy in the future. The cops actually don't realize quite how young Sheila is (she's very tall for her age.)

My Buffyverse story needs a serious rewrite, which I'm not sure I'm up to, but the Potterverse (third rewrite...) one is starting third year. I'm not sure I'm totally happy with it though.

Fair enough. Are there some specific things you're not happy about, or just a feeling of 'this should be better'?

The Buffy one is definitely 'could be better'. Shouldn't have tried to start from Episode 1 and do the whole season, I think. HP... I'm just not sure. I don't think it's bad, but I think it could have some improvement too.

Yeah, D&D is pretty inflexible for a conversion, though I think I have a rough page or so for an Eberon crossover there.

Thanks! I'll have to keep an eye on it as I get ready to run my game tonight! :)

Interesting. Aten, huh? Interesting historical parallel in that last threat. Feeling very sorry for Sheila, with how deprived her childhood was.

Hope you feel better, soon.
Thanks!

And a little snippet of the next chapter of Scion of a Lost Era.

--------

With a flash of white light, a devilishly handsome-looking being appeared, wearing the full garb of a Starfleet admiral. "Ah! Bonjour! Oh, this isn't the Enterprise... but poor, lost Voyager. Hello!"

Everyone on the bridge was looking at him as if he was insane.

Captain Janeway stood up from her seat to look him in the eye with curious caution. "Q?"

"Yes, I am Q! Just here to clean up a little time-detritus. Don't worry, you won't remember a thing," Q explained with a smile on his face. "And our little time-paradoxes that are mucking things up are right here. Sheila and Sheila Henderson, demigoddesses from outside of our time and space."

Both girls suddenly swallowed nervously even as sparks of red light flickered in the depths of their bodies. "The manipulator," they suddenly cried out as they narrowed their eyes at him.

"And my name is Ashley Henderson now, thank you," the younger girl retorted.

"What do you mean?" Harry Kim asked with narrowed, angry eyes.

"We suspected that he was behind that planet where the Captain and Lt. Paris died and I entered this time stream as a chronal clone," Sheila said with cold, bitter eyes. "He murdered a planet, made it look like they had no warp technology even though they had polaric energy grids."

"Yes, yes. You uncovered the man behind the curtain, but it is time to go away so that my subtle little plan can continue unimpeded." Q snapped his fingers and red lights, brighter than the sun erupted from within both girls as they screamed in agony---

He doesn't consider Sheila anything more than a space-time aberration that is
mucking up his plans to test humanity with the borg
. As she exists outside of his frame of reference (ie. comes from a *magic* reality) he can't just send her back with just a snap of his fingers.

After all, he's only one near-omnipotent being in a universe of them!
