What to collect is rather irrelevant, Earth technology isn't complex enough to make much of a difference. That and there's the question of what kind of danger this stuff would present...
No matter, it is simple to just start collecting things. With such a mind-numbing task, Samson knew he needed something else to focus on. Then, the obvious comes to mind- what the device is and Conrad's peculiar behavior.
Continuing to collect even as Samson turns to address 'Con', the other boy doesn't really get the chance to speak first. Pointing at the belt that the device reconfigured itself as, Samson asks a simple question.
"Do you know anything about this symbol? I admit I only recently found this device." Conrad smiles 'politely', trying to deceive Samson, and speaks in a seemingly calm tone.
"That's the symbol of the Plumbers, a sort of... extraterrestrial police force if you will." Conrad finally wraps up what he has to collect, and looks over at Samson once again.
"Gotta say, why'd they let you have that thing anyways? Seems pretty important, so why hang out with a guy like me?" Samson could tell that 'Con' was interested in the device, but not why... Perhaps some questions?
Pulling away from the salvage himself, Samson chuckles a bit. "What would plumbers need with such a device? I suppose the Polar Manzardill would be somewhat useful, but super speed and electricity seem very irrelevant."
It is Conrad's turn to laugh, though he does try to restrain himself. Assuming more of a serious yet questioning look, he just gestures at the device. "Wait, do you like, actually just stumble across that?"
With a simple 'Of course', Conrad glances at the device again before looking away. With his bag just down his arm, he claps once and 'smiles'. "That won't do, you need to know what's actually going on with a device like that."
Words of questionable value aside, ignoring him is most certainly a terrible idea. He clearly has valuable information, but Cameron and Grandpa probably should know what's happening. That and the transformation is likely to expire soon...
