Act 1: Bonfire of Ambition 10
[ ] Let Cassian and Rogue Trader Triona Bridgesworth speak with Ursia.
-[ ] All agents but cassius are dead. Awaiting frurther developments. Let Ursia belive she has the advantage.
-[ ] Triona asks about the proof that Cassian promised. She is an ally but she won't be kept in the dark.
-[ ] If she mentions being injured (or if it s a video feed where her wounds are evident) ask if she needs either a medical team to be sent or a medevac...
-[ ] Request information on how things are going in her end, if she has dealt with the Inquisitor and her retinue already or if there are any potential loose ends to worry about.
--[ ] Ask about what is happening in the planet, what is the deal with the Death Cult and if she is involved somehow.
-[ ] "So what is the next step?". Try to get info on her plans for the immediate future, and how they can be of assistance.
-[ ] While they are having this conversation, have Triona's people to try to locate from where she is calling.
"Checking checking, can you hear me?" I asked Cassian and Lord Captain Triona Bridgesworth from across the bridge.
Cassian checked his hidden earpiece and nodded. "Loud and clear, just needed to play with the volume a bit so that I don't get my eardrum blown out."
Bridgesworth nodded from her bridge throne. "Everything seems set. Shall I open the channel to Interrogator Ursia?"
I nodded. "It's now or never."
My hands clenched and unclenched despite myself, and I made myself stop. Nerves from the unknown, I knew. As with all operations, it was all too easy to imagine so much going wrong. I was going to listen in on this conversation with Ursia and guide Cassian and Bridesworth as best I could. This was going to be delicate. One misstep, and we were going to give away the game. The longer we could keep Ursia in the dark about the Rogue Trader and Cassian's true loyalties the better.
But there wasn't any time to second guess myself now. The
Kamchatka's crew patched in the call, and Ursia's image showed itself on my and the Lord Captain's screens. Ursia looked different than when I'd last seen her. The traitor now possessed an augmetic eye to replace the one she'd lost during our fight. The right side of her face was scarred, still showing angry wounds that hadn't had time to heal between the exploding ammo magazine and the surgery she had doubtlessly gone through to repair the damage and install the augmetic.
Still, she managed to put on an easy smile and spoke with a confidence that belied her wound. "Lord Captain Bridgesworth, so good of you to take my call. I hope I didn't interrupt anything. It took a while for you to respond."
Bridgesworth shook her head. "It took me a while to travel to the bridge. My duties had me in another section of the ship when you called."

"I see." Ursia's smile dropped a hair. "I wanted to call about my agent, Cassian Strafe."
"I am, Interrogator," Cassian said, stepping into the view of the camera. "Though there's been some, um... Complications" He glanced the way of the Lord Captain, licking dry lips.
"Are you well, Cassian?" Ursia asked. "You don't look like the enforcers roughed you up."
Cassian shook his head. "I'm fine for the moment, Interrogator. They've taken my weapons, but otherwise they haven't mistreated me. I am in the Emperor's light."

Everything seemed to be going well as Ursia's good eye flicked Triona's way. "Have they now? What do you know thus far, Rogue Trader?"
Bridgesworth's eyes narrowed. "Mr. Strafe caused quite the commotion on my ship when he suddenly opened fire on two of his fellow acolytes, killing them. He promptly surrendered to the enforcers who responded to the shooting. He explained to me there were very good reasons for his actions, though he didn't give me too many details."
Ursia sighed, though she didn't exactly put her all into sounding reticent. "I'm sorry, Lord Captain, but I'm afraid Cassian's actions were justified. Though I couldn't tell you ahead of time. It's with a heavy heart that I'm forced to tell you that I've discovered evidence of Inquisitor Aurelia's committing heresy. That being the case, I had to call upon those acolytes I could trust and eliminate Aurelia, as well as everyone else in the retinue whose loyalty to the Imperium and the God-Emperor was in question."
The Rogue Trader leaned back in her throne, rubbing her chin as though absorbing this data. "Yes, that's what your agent told me. Though I'm sure you can understand that I can't just take your word on the matter, not when we're talking about such serious crimes being leveled on an Inquisitor. I need evidence, otherwise I'll be forced to take this to other authorities."
Ursia waved the matter off. "Of course, of course. As a fine upstanding and loyal Rogue Trader of the Imperium you wish to do your due diligence. That is only natural."
"And can you produce this evidence of Aurelia's heresy?" Bridesworth pressed.
Ursia nodded. "I can, but not over open comms. The intel is delicate in nature. It's not something to broadcast where just anyone can hear." My traitorous counterpart leaned forward. "We should meet. I know a place we can do so, Delirium's Frenzy."
(Penelopy Lore (Imperium): 1d8 = 7

I recognized the name. Delirium's Frenzy was a famous night club within Hive Maximus. I hadn't been there myself, but I'd heard stories. It was the type of place the rich and famous of the hive went to, but still had the edge of being just a little bit dangerous and seedy. Enough to give thrills of knowing it was also a place where hive gang leaders and their kids hanged out, but you weren't likely to get shivved for looking at someone the wrong way. It sounded like the type of place Ursia would frequent and be comfortable in.
The Rogue Trader drummed her fingers on the throne as I told her what I knew. "An interesting choice. Is this an establishment you give patronage to?"
Urisia shrugged. "I've been there a time or two during my downtime. It has music I like and drinks that hit the spot. So I figure it's as good a place as any. I can get us a private room there. Gives us the privacy we need to let me give you the intel you want."
"You could come up to my ship and give me the intel here," the Rogue Trader countered. "I assure you, it's quite safe here."
Ursia shook her head. "I'm sorry, but I'm extremely busy at the moment. Not that I'm saying you're not either, but things are getting crazy down here on the planet. Now's not a good time for me to find transport up to the
Kamchatka, especially when the spaceport's been bombed just yesterday."
"Ask about the Crimson Cut," I prompted Triona. "See if she knows anything."
Bridgesworth steepled her fingers. "Does this involve the Crimson Cult? We've caught their propaganda messages, but thus far the Roanoke government and PDF have been cagey on giving us details on what's going on down there."
Ursia let out a sigh. "Sorry, but that's not something I want to discuss over a channel that anyone might be listening in on. This Death Cult seems to have agents everywhere. Suffice to say, it's bad down here. I can give you the details when we meet up. I'll be happy to answer all your questions then."
The Lord Captain frowned. That wasn't what either one of us wanted to hear. We needed more intel, but Ursia was being cagey. "Is that why you've been wounded since last we met? That augmetic looks new. Do you require medical assistance?"
Ursia's hand went to the scars on her face, and her good eye twitched. "It's been taken care of. Though I'm sorry to say that I got this wound from another source. I managed to eliminate most of the traitors in Aurelia's retinue, but a handful escaped. Interrogator Penelopy van Maansing managed to escape along with a handful of associates. I'm trying to hunt her down, but she's slippery. I don't suppose she's tried to contact you over the last few days?"
"Tell her no," I instructed her.
(Bridgesworth Persuasion: 1d6 = 1
Ursia Awareness: 1d8 = 5)
"Um, n-no." Triona squrimed in her throne. "I haven't heard from her at all. Why would I?"
Ursia frowned. "Rogue Trader, if there's something you're not telling me..."
I silently cursed. Ursia was suspicious now. "Tell her that you're not comfortable answering that over the comm either."
Bridgesworth swallowed. "Sorry, but... Can we discuss this in private? You're not the only one who isn't comfortable talking about everything over the vox."
Ursia regarded her for a long moment. "Right, we can do that. I can arrange to meet you in two days as the Delirium's Frenzy. I'd like it if you brought Cassian as well. I really need his assistance down here."
(Kamchatka Tech-Use: 9

A message showed up on my display. It was from the chief enginseer of the
Kamchatka. I'd instructed the crew to try and trace the signal, hoping they could narrow down where Ursia was. The message read,
"Interrogator-Unit Penelopy van Maansing, we have managed to determine that the signal is coming from Hive Maximus, within a district within the mid-hive."
I double-checked the data the enginseer was feeding me. I confirmed that it was in the same district as Delirium's Frenzy. That couldn't be a coincidence.
"Can you narrow it down further?" I text back.
"I am sorry, Interrogator-Unit, but they are bouncing the signal through several locations," they replied.
"I am not currently able to find the origin of the signal. The traitor Interrogator has been clever and cautious."
I sighed. That at least narrowed things down from an entire world. A single district in a hive. The Inquisition has done more with less.
I turned my attention back to the conversation between the Rogue Trader and Ursia. I'd hoped to trick Ursia to the
Kamchatka where she could be easily captured, but it seemed like that wasn't in the cards right now. But what to do now? This meeting with Ursia was dangerous. It could be a trap, but half of avoiding a trap was knowing there was a trap to start with. We might be able to turn this trap against her. It might very well be my best opportunity to snag her without having to comb through half a hive looking for her. The risk was losing a valuable asset in the Rogue Trader. Then there was also the issue of Cassian Strafe. Did I really trust him? What to do?
