Boobytrap Part 2: Evacuation Blues.

(Jack POV)

You grimiced at the fact you had to leave Roy hanging but the evacuation into the shelters for the Civillians were a high priority.

Reminded you of Afganistan...almost at least. Air support so the Civvies can get underground was paramout as the air war heated up around you.

You made the call. "Alright Skull Squadron is going to get perimeter. You know what to do to get the civilians into the sheltesr. One Veritech per group...copy."

Orgainzation Actual:1D100 => 97 vs1D100 => 35

The Order was received and Wolf Squadron did there job readily. As it turns out the shelter roads were clear save a bit of carousing needed to get them in it moved like clockwork.

One group in, one plane out. It moved like a set of music.

Top Gun Archer:1D100 => 69+20=89 vs1D100 => 9+30(Enamy aces)

You on the other hand were plowing the road with these enamy mechs. So far they were probing you. From what you could recall from flight school, most of these guy's were looking for an opening to get you.

You never gave them one and exploited it. It felt like they were not expecting such an organized force to resist.

You assumed that they were getting used to gravity, population resistance and something...god you read too many Sci Fi books, this wasn't a Sci fi this was real life.

Evacuation status:1D100 => 77 (Nearly done)

Well the evacuation was almost over now you can…

Enamy Counter attack:1D100 => 95

"Where the hell did that come from!!" You shouted as another swarm decended from heavan.

Rush seemed to swear in 6 languges at that point. "Get finished up and engage them NOW"

A Wolf In man's clothing:1D100 => 86+20=106 vs1D100 => 68+30=98

Your squadron was able to meet them and engage.

Wolf Squadron Strength:1D100 => 28

Out of 24 men...4 were left that wasn't right, your guys were doing so well, "Wolfe!! Status."

"Those guys did a number on us we lost track of the rest of the Squadron." the young man said as you twerled around to the SDF-1.

It was rising above the sea...dear god what was happening.

"Radiation!!" Another pilot shouted on the net.

Dear god did we set off a nuke!!

"Fold drive is active!! Hang onto something!! OH SHIT!" Frank was always such a man but if that concerned him...shit.

Left Behind:1D100 => 77+5(Close to Macross Isle)=82

Reward:You are not left behind Jack Archer. Good luck out there.

What do you do on the SDF-1:
(Choose 1)

[]Debreif your squadron: "Alright...we're stuck in space...here's what we have."

[]Help the Survivors: "You're going to be Okay...hopefully."

[]Meet with the Commander: "Commander Rush...I got the message, all squadron leaders are present."

[]Take a break: "I need a beer."

[]Write in.

AN: Well done Cpt Archer. You are now part of the story.

Boobytrap Finale: Aftermath

(Jack Archer)

The first thing you did was carry the wounded to the sickbay...the men that were still alive anyway. Whatever the hell delt with your squadron, it was tough and sent most of them out of action or the Air itself.

You saw Roy take a moment. "Jack...you ever fight like that before?"

"Over Mexico during Operation Shattered knife was pretty close...Hey where's Rick?" You said as he looked over his shoulder.

"No Idea...go get the refugee's settled in Jack, I can handle things here."

The Situation in terms of the Refugee's was fairly grim given the circumstances. And you survyed the situation as ablely as you could.

You managed to help organize an emergency shelter in one of the larger cavities of the ship, the inner city looked like a slum just waiting to be fixed up.

It wasn't much...but it would do...and you slept in worse places, you'd leave it to the civillians to get this shit organized. You were not a man of construction, even if your father was a carpenter.

---------------------------------

A Few hours later….

"Yes Mrs. Lynn...we will find your daughter. If anything she got lost in the structure of the ship. It will take a day, but we will find her." You said calmly as you leaned back into the chair.

Fuck when will Roy get rotated. I'm Tired of this shit...I get it it's important, but I could be doing so many other things...like bureying my Squadron.

It wasn't the first time you've lost men...far from it, but this still stung.

"Hey Jack...you done here?" You looked up and saw what was her name...Jane Rush asking you question.

You looked around to see people trying to build a city in a spaceship. "Yeah...I think so, what do you want?"

"Just asking if you want coffee or something? You look bored out of your mind and need something else to do besides sitting behind a desk." She said as you looked around.

Do you accept the Not Date:

A Look into the Future: A Rush in ash winds.

(Marcus POV)

July 2042

Robotech Expeditionary Force Training Base HellHound Bay, Io.

You looked up and sighed, seeing the massive gas giant that stood above you in awe like wonder. If it wern't for the fact you were sitting on a fucking volcano. Most of the other's were down a ways away and you needed time alone.

"And I still can't believe they make pilots out of people like us...I get it we're available, and close by and we still need to train the aliens how to use our shit...but it's fine...everything 's fine." You complained to the universe as you saw Jupiter swirl around the moon as the lights from Volcanic eruptions dotted the horizon.

Then you uncomfortably moved your feet. Being in an actual gravity well was a newer experience, given that you've been raised on starships your entire life. Plus given that you were on this hellscape, your opinion of anything not called earth was the same, they all sucked.

Of course you never had a point of reference to that...so you assumed it was like the SDF-3 and left it at that.

----------------------------------------------

The Exercise was simple...capture the objective and hold it.

On paper it sounded like a simple king of the hill job, but given that you were (Mostly) Human marines up against a group of Zentraedi-blooded guys who've been at this gig only slightly longer than you, your odds were only slightly worse than theirs.

But better safe than sorry, one more recon run. Then plan and assault, you were the guy deemed the most expendable due to the fact you seemed to piss off all the alien blooded guys in your unit. Oh how the fuck was he supposed to know, he was raised in a promentlly human enviorment, it was a side affect.

That and Grandpa being...well grandpa, how the hell was he not going to turn out the way he did, both parents are absent, and left him and his sister with a man who never really got over earth being glassed right in front of him.

If you want to blame someone for how you turned out, blame the alien who gave the order to glass Earth, you sure as hell did.

You pulled out a pair of binochs and sighed as you squinted a little on the visor of your helmet.

Okay...no surprises so far, just regular old. Fuck...Oh Fuck.

A Macronized soldier, a massive giant sized soldier with weapons the size of artillery pieces, training rounds or no.

"FUCK!!" You shouted, as you crawled back to your unit. "Fuck...they got a MAC. At least give us a Veritech if they're going to do that."

You saw Alex flash a grin. "How'd sightseeing go. Still the same shit?"

"Lt...the bastards got a MAC." You reported. "And the deadline is in 9 hours."

The LT, a man called Peters, sighed. "Alright guy's School circle, we've got a tough one."

"Marcus...still got any leftover climbing gear?" He said.

"Yeah...why?" You said.

"Because you're dealing with the MAC. Got to make the sacrifice play." Peters said.

Oh that worthless fu-

--------------------------------------

Okay...maybe you need to rethink your life...no your life is fine its the four hundred ton bolder on your lower arm that is making you think that. Or the lack of feeling considering that you no longer had any feeling in the right forearm, and your hand was non-existent.

As it turns out who ever though having a military training exersise near a bunch of active volcano's is a really stupid idea, maybe he should have swollowed his pride and joined the navy, but no he was trained to be a marine day one, he'd die a marine.

And that was looking more likely by the second. You pulled out your knife and signed. "I always wanted a Robot arm."

----------------------

The other soldier, the giant merely looked at you as you rode on her shoulder. "So...does it hurt marine?"

"Well...I stopped the bleeding and stopped screaming at least, but yeah I'm fine." You said feeling rather normal for a man down a limb.

"So...lady are you one of those guys who were born a Mac or just took it for a while." You gave a rather blunt question.

"Are you always this much of an asshole to people?" She said.

"Yeah...I've been working on it, but it still needs work...I haven't had the most...stable of childhoods and my sister dying compounded my issues and some cases made them worse, it doesn't help that mom and dad are never really around for reasons and I was raised by a human centric war vet...I'm honestly surprised I didn't turn out worse." You mused as you saw the hill.

"So...Uh, you free tonight." You asked.

"Ask me after a discharge from the hospital and I'll give you a maybe you mad lad." She said as she finally got you to the rest of your unit under white flag.

A Look into the Future: A Rush of Stardust
A Look into the Future: A Rush of Stardust

(Jack POV)

"Get the Hell off my Planet!!" Jonathan "Jack" Archer 2013, these were his last recorded words.

If there was one thing that never gets old, even with everything you've seen, it was training pilots how to fly in the stars.

You remembered the Feeling of seeing so many points of light around you, from the moon to Neptune, you saw it all. Each point of light was a place you could fly in the cockpit of a veritech and see what was out there.

When you were born, your father, a carpenter by trade and soldier by virtue of Vietnam's cold embrace, told you that you'd be up in space fixing things.

Now here you are sitting in your spaceship, running out of air.

Hmm now or never it seemed.

For a moment you looked out to the stars and made a prayer.

You hit the Record button.

I don't know if anyone is going to hear this so fuck it...there are a few things I'm gonna say.

Dad...I made it as far as I could...couldn't stay away from the war. They shot first, my friends are all dead dad…

I'm gonna die alone in space without anyone to say goodbye too, and that's all part of the dream, guess we can't leave well enough alone.

But I saved so many , unlike you ...I don't have the guilt of murdering children and women. The only guilt I have is not dying in the Rain of death. Living after that sucked horibly.

So..sorry about not getting you any grandchildren old man...we were thinking of starting late anyway.

Jack Archer waited and waited, as his air was running low he thought he saw a light, his father it seemed had come to pick him up.

He had all the stories to tell him.

He looked closer as he felt the air become cleaner...fresher then it has ever been.

"Alright...Let's see who's idea of an angel came to pick people up in a starship." You joked.

SDF Blues Part 1
SDF Blues Part 1

[x]Yes: "Sure why the Hell not…"

Date Result:
1D100 => 96

What began as a simple coffee date ended as a night of dancing and well, you just having a good time.

Jane was a wonderful young woman and had even rejoined the RDF due to them needing competent pilots.

And the fact of the matter you needed that moment of quiet.

Someone to enjoy for company that would hopefully be still alive by the time it was over.

Simple friendship is often the start of long term relationships. And You knew from Roy's own love life when you had a serious keeper.

Jane Rush is a wonderful prospect. But one that shall be observed after the war, had to win it first.

Reward: You are now roomies with Jane Rush. Solid date given.

-[X] Forming a Wolf Pack:Wolf Squadron was decimated. You must rebuild. Rolled:
1D100 => 89

While you were unable to get anyone from Roy's Crop, (That Sterling fellow is something special) You were able to get the best of the best in your group. Even then they were extremely effective.

That Jonathan Wolfe Fellow looks like a really Solid wingman.

And Jane...you didn't go easy on them but she had to make you work for that win.

Reward: Wolf Squadron is now at Full Strength, Jane Rush and Jonathan Wolfe have joined the party.

-[X] Go drinking with Roy: You should spend time with Roy, he's your war buddy after all.Rolled:
1D100 => 66

A Quiet game of Beer and Darts.

A real man's game. One that you and Roy both played in between bombing Pakistan during the Global war.

Reward: You spend time with your buddy.

-[X] Training Day: The Old Man wants to break in some new recruits, better make sure the old man does not kill them, we need every man.Rolled:
1D100 => 14+5=19

As it turns out,the old man did kill them...you had to pick them up and drag them to medical, dear god Frank...some of these kids are barely out of highschool, hell some of them are in high school!!

Failure on account of Frank working them half to death.

-[X] War Funeral: You need to give your men a proper send off.Rolled:
1D100 => 45

The bodies of your comrades have been sent to wander among the stars in an iron box.

Few Words were spoken, even the Captain did not say a word.

Far too many friends...not many left, but they'd make some good ones with the angels.

Now here you were, praying that the dead have it better then the living.

Reward: You bury your friends.

-[X] Talk to Commander Rush: You better talk to the Commander, before he goes into a Rage over the lack of reports. Rolled:
1D100 => 87

"Frank what are we looking at?" You said as he sighed.

"What we are looking at is a simple matter of steller geography. We're near Pluto and are about a year away from earth."

You nodded. "That sounds bad…"

Frank gave a glare with his one eye. "It's a tragedy is what it is, we are a year away from refit and supplies along with any chance of reinforcements I hope you can break this to the men."

"I will sir." You said calmly.

"Oh and Jack?" Frank continued.

"Sir…"

"Keep my daughter from being Spaced out there, as a personal request, but don't let it get in the way of your job." He finished.

Reward: Situation learned.

-[X]Fix your Bird: She took a few nicks, better have a look just to be safe. Rolled:
1D100 => 84

Emil Lang is a goddamn life saver. He fixed your bird in a week.

Even painted the Squadron Logo on it.

Reward: Fighter Fixed. New Logo.

So Jack what do you say to the new meat of the Squadron, Say something inspiring or just glue them in.

[]Write in what you tell your new Squadron (You may also make a motto or boast.)

AN: Had to be sure it was ready...Enjoy and Give Feedback.
