Sorry, I appear to have misread or misremembered the introductory passage.

I somehow got the notion that it was implied that our character did nothing but play video games all day, and on arrival in an alien world, missed our games but not our family or anything that a reasonable person might prioritise.

The first implication was not as pronounced as I remembered, and the second I appear to have dreamed up in its entirety.

Honestly I am all for the reboot. This one hasn't really gone anywhere fast, and it seems that taking some more time to get things worked out, and taking another go at it from the beginning could do this quest a world of good. On that note, if you need a(nother?) beta tester to throw potential updates at, feel free to drop me a line.
