Render Unto Moloch v2 (MtAW)

[X] Archive. You were in the library when this kicked off, and you remember seeing some works there that you had never encountered before. Go take a look at some of them and see if what they say matches up with what you can see.

I would not object talking to out Tv though

Also can i ask:is that an Atlantean glyph that was sketched ?? Will this lead to other Mages finding out about us ??

[X] Animism. Everything has a spirit, it seems, so really you can start anywhere. Go home, get comfortable, and have a chat with… the TV, maybe? The bed? That cat that likes to pester you for scratches?

Hmmmm.

[X] Anamism.

I want to keep bucking Thyrsus stereotypes!

Edit: anarchy woo!
Who knows, maybe the world beyond this one isn't so relentlessly shit for everyone you care about
HAH!
and you swiftly learn not to look too closely at that one because fucking hell that hurts)
Hyperion says hi. He Also says "go fuck yourself".

I kind of forgot that rather than like being Hidden unknowable godlike entities, Luna and Hyperion can be seen by looking up.

Animism seems like the safest and the most versatile option available right now. Archive seems another good one but Ild rather not fuck around in a public institution and an Occult bookshop seems like it might be noticeable to those who keep an eye out.
Spirits are everywhere including our apartment which means we can safely experiment and learn a practice applicable everywhere. Someone hassling us get the Spirit of the Sidewalk to crack a bit or the Gravel to be somehow even pointier like a caltrop or maybe get a loyal animal to be a possible familiar(If their a thing in Mage)

You've never been easy to scare, but even so you feel your heart leap into your throat and it is a real effort of will not to start screaming as you watch the gigantic insect scuttle it's way down the carriage towards you. Except… no, it's not going down the carriage, it's going through it, swimming through glass and metal and plastic as though they were nothing more than water. You look closer, peering at the creature in undisguised fascination; sparks flash from it feet at irregular intervals, it's shell seems to be made of laminated plastic, the light behind its eyes looks like nothing more than a pair of beaming headlights… oh.
Is it weird my first reaction was "reach out and get it?"

Probably not. That stuff is fairly common.

yee shadow

Locations in the Hisil have a strong thematic parallel with their real life, like, counterparts? Tethers. Places that are metaphorically dangerous in the waking world (ie. a boss's office, the house of a deeply disliked relative for the holidays, a high powered party where you don't fit in) can become much-less-allegorically hostile on the other side. Similarly the library, while elitist and deeply conservative, is also a place of learning. And spirits tend to develop their own ecosystem that kinda metaphorically parallels the relationships between things irl (ie. big box stories like Walmart are basically huge capitalist anglerfish that lure in money with shiny deals and starve out locally owned stores), so there's definitely some kind of librarian esque spirit who can/will help us if we put the question to them correctly.

Besides, it's better to try to figure out a rough framework for how to handle this rather than just yelling at our laptop. And maybe we'll even get some fucked up myth to be told too as we read history books that describe histories that didn't happen and shit like that.

I'm tempted to vote Animism because KITTY!!! buuuut...

Seems like a more immediately interesting option.

It's close to home and it's more to work with than attempting to converse with a cat or hitting occult stores in the hopes of finding something that isn't bullshit.

Hmm the shadow is so cool! The train spirit just traveling through the train was very evocative.

The library seems the more interesting way to go right now. All the knowledge! And what spirits may we find! Can't wait!

[x] Expertise. This is London, so there's bound to be an occultic bookstore or general place of freakery somewhere around the place if you look hard enough. Drop by and see if you can find someone who sees the world as you do.

We must enter in contact with other Mages. Think of the hijinxs
