Ah, PDIS simply took the role of Oceania (or Mexico) from the prime TLM timeline of being the world's third bloc and wildcard, trying appease and court both sides of the world merge.
Hopefully next, the one that should probably shown (and obviously will be) is the grand collective meltdown of the OTL Middle East and losing their entire collective minds about the history of Comintern, or specifically UAR. Bet that is going to be the juiciest part of the story since we don't have this in HSB.

I am also curious about the theological implication and exchange that will happen with two Meccas here. I predict the competing Hajj politic will be epic. I can imagine many OTL muslim interpret the Glide as gift from Allah to justify Hajj pilgrimage to TLM!Mecca instead of going to Saud-managed Mecca.

Redshift partially exists specifically for this very purpose, and the next update is appropriately titled: "reactionary tears are delicious".
Oh most Islamic authorities IOTL quickly declare that TLM Muslims are at best heretics and at worst don't even count as Muslims, and in turn TLM Islamic authorities declare their OTL counterparts to be enemies of humanity.
