Nekra explored the magical store interface, searching for intriguing possibilities that might capture her attention. Like one would watch amazon deals and usually end up spending way more money than they wanted to.
"Workshop add-on, nya?" Nekra voiced her interest, her feline instincts apparent.
From the kitchen, Yuki's voice inquired, "Did you say something, Nekra?"
While considering the workshop add-on, Nekra's thoughts wandered, questioning its purpose within their core control room.
Nekra eventually decided to make the purchase, noting, "It's nyathing, Yuki."
Yuki commented on her increased use of the Nya's, "Your verbal tic is getting worse."
Expressing her annoyance, Nekra responded, "I nyo." Ears flat against her head, as the cat girl looked fully defeated.
Trying to ease the situation, Yuki humorously remarked, "I think it's kind of cute... did we just have a room added?"
Acknowledging the success of the purchase, Nekra proudly shared, "Yes! I bought a workshop add-on, nya. How could you tell?"
Yuki explained, "I am the spirit of the dungeon; of course, I know when a new space is added to my body."
This realization prompted Nekra to revisit a long-asked question, "Nya? Is it possible for you to leave the dungeon?"
Intrigued, Yuki questioned, "I should be, but why would we need to leave?"
Nekra eagerly revealed her ambitious plan, "Because, in about 289 years, there's going to be this opportunity for an adventure!"
Concerned about the delay, after all 289 years was extremely specific, "Can't we do it now?"
Nekra, contemplating their chances, responded, "I think Dwargon might accept us. They should still be on their second king, though."
"How do you know all of this?" Yuki asks
"Because I am a genius like Tony Stark, and I'm going to go build a golem robotic dragon to protect the core. It will be like Reptar!" Nekra says
Yuki, puzzled by Nekra's earlier reference to "Reptar," questioned, "What's a Reptar, and who is Tony Stark?"
Nekra, equally baffled, admitted, "I don't know."
A span of several days passed, during which Nekra continued her tireless work on the golem robotic dragon, putting the finishing touches on its intricate design.
However, her jubilation was suddenly overshadowed by the realization that she had no idea how to program the creation.
"Programming involves a vast amount of information. Who knows how long I'll black out for, nya," Nekra pondered, her apprehension evident.
Coming into the room with a plate of food, Yuki tried to reassure Nekra, "It looks amazing, Nekra!"
Despite her concerns, Nekra confessed, "I know, but to think we could buy strands of titanium weave and encase it in that, then make the body out of reinforced steel. The only problem is it won't move if I don't use my knowledge skill."
Inquiring about the potential duration of her blackout, Yuki asked, "How long?"
Nekra, uncertain yet hopeful, replied, "I don't know... it should be longer than a year, though."
Yuki suggested a practical solution to ensure the continued protection of the dungeon during Nekra's absence, "Why don't you create a core guardian, since the dragon won't be done for awhile and secure the core within an almost indestructible box before you embark on your knowledge-seeking journey?"
Expressing her concern for Yuki, Nekra remarked, "Nya, what about you, Yuki? I'm leaving you alone again."
Yuki, undeterred, assured her with a passionate kiss. After breaking the kiss, she responded, "It's fine."
Acknowledging Nekra's growth, Yuki continued, "I feel the same, but I'm young... at least I think I am. I have fragment memories, Yuki, nya. So wait for me to grow up, okay?"
Assenting to Yuki's proposal, Nekra agreed, "Okay, I can wait."
Resuming their plans, Nekra suggested, "Let's construct a steel knight to guard the core room. And maybe an adamantium sword."
A peculiar thought crossed Nekra's mind: "Can I use golem magic on the adamantium and grant the sword special properties?"
Implementing her idea, she used golem magic to enhance the sword with a magic induction coil inside, allowing it to superheat.
After slotting in a magic stone, Nekra declared, "Done, nya."
It had been a month since the start of the Magic Knight program and Nekra had made a true monster, It was a golem with loaded springs and wound gears. It was a deadly machine that would nearly match an S Rank adventure in strength. It couldn't even near the hydraulics and muscles on the dragon but it was overkill for any B rank party that tried their luck.
Surprised by Nekra's sudden transformation into a focused worker, Yuki noted, "Your serious working face looks cute."
Nekra stationed the knight outside the core room before venturing into the dungeon to create golems, and a full Roman legion appeared at her command.
Surveying the completed tasks, Nekra declared, "That should help, nya, and they are skilled builders. We will continue to grow bigger!"
Before retiring for the night, she enclosed the core in the titanium box, concealed by a new invisibility cloak.
Nekra crawls into bed with Yuki looking at her partner.
"I'll be here when you wake up dear." Yuki whispers
"Okay, good night, Yuki," Nekra whispers in reply.
"Of course, Have a good rest, and I will watch over the dungeon." Yuki responds wrapping Nekra up in her tail
As a final reminder, Nekra whispers, "Just incase Make sure you replace the invisibility cloak in 30 years, nya."
Yuki nodded in understanding and sealed the night with a tender kiss on Nekra's forehead.
'Programs…' Nekra's thoughts were abruptly halted as the sudden surge of knowledge overcame her there was a searing pain then all was black, as Nekra entered a dreamless sleep.
Programs… Not Programming or computer Programming, but Programs.
