Alright, I'm plugging your character data into my Excel spreadsheet. I should have the IC up either this evening or tomorrow morning, depending on how long it takes and how many things I have to fiddle with in the process. I'll be editing some fancified sheets into the second post of this thread, so you'll find the skill descriptions there when it's done.

@HeuristicKeeper - you're not out of the game, but I'm going to need a sheet from you within the next couple of days or it'll just get harder and harder to drop you in properly.

@Calamista - I'm working off the mostly-finished sheet you PM'd me at the moment, so if there are any changes you want made I'll need you to get back to me, but otherwise you should be good to go when I get the IC up.

Okay, so let's see...what would I need to add to the sheet I already had? Perks and flaws?

Convert the stats over from Zedalb's version, work out the derived stats with the new formulae, pick your perks and flaws, pick two mundane skills to be at level fifteen from your character's job and one to be at level ten from their hobby.

Goddangit, so many things changed. Ah well, guess I will be doing this one in parts, since those perks and flaws need close examination and today will be slightly busy. The statistics are subject to change too: it seems nearly every conceivable niche already has been gobbled up by someone, so I will likely have difficult time coming up with something original. So yeah, this is going to be very gradually finished.

Name: Connor Jansen
Current title: None

Age: 23
Appearance: A tall, lean guy with azure eyes and curly golden blonde hair that he keeps brushed back, with deep blue bandanna holding it out of his forehead save for couple of wild strands. He wears light khaki coat over a blue and black hoodie, along with blue jeans and black running shoes.

Primary stats

STR
ength: 6
AGIlitiy: 10
VITality: 6
ENDurance: 6
INTelligence: 6
WISdom: 6
MAGic: 5
LUK(Luck): 5

Derived Stats

HP: (Level*25) + (((STR+VIT)/2)*10)
HP Regen: 1% HP per minute plus 0.1% per point of END

MP: (Level*25) + (((MAG+INT)/2)*10)
MP Regen: 1% MP per minute plus 0.1% per point of WIS

STAmina: (Level*25)+(((END+AGI)/2)*10)
STA Regen: 1% STA per minute plus 0.1% per point of VIT

Physical Attack Damage: STR
Physical Attack Speed: (20% AGI) attacks per 'round' (roughly speaking, one short post. I'm deliberately leaving this flexible, because I need breathing room to actually write - roleplay rather than rollplay - if I want to keep my interest in this going)
Physical Attack Resistance: Subtract 20% END from physical damage taken
Toxin Resistance: Effect reduced by 0.5% per point of VIT.

Magical Attack Damage: MAG
Magical Attack Speed: (20% INT) attacks per 'round'
Magical Attack Resistance: Subtract 20% WIS from magical damage taken

Movement Speed: AGI mph at a sustainable speed. Can go faster, up to (AGI*1.5) mph in an all-out sprint, but this drains STA equal to (current speed - AGI) each second.

Crit Chance: 0.01% plus 0.01% per point of LUK

Skill EXP bonus: (Primary Stat/10)% - that is, for a stealth skill you'd use AGI, for an endurance skill END, for a magic skill either INT or MAG depending on if it's precision- or power-based. And so on.
Character EXP bonus: (LUK/10)%
Loot Roll Bonus: (LUK/5)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh things are happening and I had no idea! Sorry guys, little one had to go to the orthodontist & school shopping today, and the final Pterry book is out and we had to buy it, so I had less time than I'd expected.

I'm about halfway through getting your character sheets plugged into my Excel spreadsheet (hampered by various small errors and oversights that I have to correct on the individual ones and the master copy as I go, which have slowed me down because I've been so frantic that I've made way more than usual), so I should have it done tomorrow. Sorry!

Actually, now that I think of it - do you want to wait for me to have everything sorted out and in place, or should I stick the IC thread up now and we can muddle along through the introduction and fudge things a bit until I've got it all lined up where I want it?

I would say do things right, so theres no fighting or complaints or issues.

We can wait though posting what is done skill wise would be cool.

It's ok, Sir Terry's Last Book takes precedence.

As to whether or not you should stick the IC up now, I personally plan to do training at game start, so if it's not easy for you to figure out stat and skill ups without the sheets, we should probably wait.

@Rokoran: I will roll with what you complete and if I'm missing something you need to know just ping me. I was half considering taking "Will of Iron" and "Nearsighted" ('cause fun RP!!) but I think I'm uneven on points if I do...? I can do without if so.

And sorry for my late reply. I generally try to respond timely but work, cold and afterwork obligations eating my time and energy this week.

THANK YOU!

If you give me stats, skills, perks & flaws I can do the calculations for you when I plug it into the Excel spreadsheet. That might make it a little bit easier on you.

No problem. I'm going to need two 'professional' and one 'hobby' skill from you, but other than that your character's good to go now.

You're both over on stats. Ten points only, I'm afraid. Knight, I dropped the mental stat boosts on my Excel spreadsheet, since you seemed to be going for a physical character; Zedalb, I don't quite know what sort of archetype you're angling for so I'll need some feedback on that.

I edited out 2 points worth of merits on that sheet which I got the extra from. If that's not kosher then use my previous build

Changed stats and kind of a batman magic warrior.

I'm going to start physical but try to learn more then that as the game goes on, looking to use magic and skills as buffs

Sweet. I should have the IC done and ready for posting after a few touch-ups tomorrow morning, so we'll be starting then. It's mostly finished, I just need to swap a few things around, make the adjustments you've indicated to your character sheets, and write up a few basic monster ones to use.

I just got back from winning 700 dollars at a Casino. I will probably be asleep for some time. Will post when I wake up.

Congrats on not getting fleeced. I'm finishing up the IC right now, and writing up skill descriptions for you, so we should be starting soonish. No rush, though; it's going to take me a little while.

Alright, we are go for launch! IC thread is here. The fancy formatting is being a bit of a bitch, so you'll have to wait a little to get your nice character sheets in the OP, but I have your skill descriptions right here.

So you talked about starting gear, I just want to know if the knife I keep under my pillow is with me and or the aid bag that lies beside my bed.

I was wondering, can I like... turn my Under the Radar perk on and off. Like... so I can have as many random encounters as some one without it? And then turn it back on when it's convenient for me? Cause right now I wouldn't mind running into something.

Edit:
Alright, we are go for launch! IC thread is here. The fancy formatting is being a bit of a bitch, so you'll have to wait a little to get your nice character sheets in the OP, but I have your skill descriptions right here.

For the martial arts ones, please bear in mind I don't know much about how martial arts actually work.

You are ignoring content by this member.
You may want to add break a limb to Jiu Jitsu, joint locks and such are about half the techniques. . .

That one's part of grappling, so you'd go to pin and then from there you get to start dealing damage. Also, it should be exceeding by 30, not 20, sorry.

So you talked about starting gear, I just want to know if the knife I keep under my pillow is with me and or the aid bag that lies beside my bed.

Daniel Grace for name btw

Nope, they're still in your house. You're wearing pyjamas, and you've got nothing else on you.

The perk can't be turned off, but it doesn't affect your chance of finding a fight if you go looking for one - it just means you're not going to get jumped on the way unless you roll astronomically badly.

Also, thanks for pointing that out.

That's fine, by the time I need a weapon there will be plenty on the ground.
