The PRC and the musk are basically enemies anyways, so we could even be helping them in finally pacifying the rest of the region by joining forces to defeat a common enemy.

You needed an army to take musk it was a fortress city, so you decided to borrow one. The local Chinese comander was a fanatic who wanted to unify all of china. Smashing some things and leaving a couple musk weapons lying around easy, watching the PRC forces get slaughtered to a man by superhuman warriors well thats less so. The good news is that their bringing in every thing they have and with enough mortar fire even enchanted walls would go down.
Which is why your currently inside the walls of the kingdom of musk, you advoid the warriors leaving to claim glory and get into the now undefended castle.

When in doubt go for the money, Every one takes a portion of the gold that you find, enough to help but not enough to load you down, you then empty out your pockets and stuff a bunch of random books in it you are on a time limit, by the time you get to Akane a man stands in your way.
