The Radiance in Remnant? Interesting. I wonder if having a frailer body and not being trapped in dreams will do her moral compass some good.
This also reminds me that I want to write (,or get someone else to write,) a Fanfic about the Phazon from Metroid in Rwby. idk why I just want to see the Phazon be used more in Fanfics.
I believe that Nuclear Moth Detected originated from "You Feel Like Number None" where the main character was partially a hollow knight reference and was a Laser Moth.
I did not mean to imply that your pacing is incorrect. I wanted instead to ask for a longer story than usual, because I enjoy reading it! So, I'm really just asking for more chapters.

Ah, I see. While I understand the sentiment and appreciate it, I can not artificially stretch a given story without adding inane filler. Project length varies somewhat depending on how big the story I imagined ends up being, but I try hard to not make it too long. This is both so the story actually ends and so I do not need to spend years over years working on it.
I am in the mood for some speculations of potential directions of the story, given how soon we are, this is almost certainly going to be horribly wrong, but hey, might strike gold.
First thing to take into account there: I think we are before canon, Menagerie is four years old, and RWBY takes place when it should be older than that from what we see.
Speaking of menagerie, if we are soon enough, the white fang would still be in the calmer stage under Ghira, wonder if our dear moth would think of trying to make herself known by joining them. Given her attitude, I can see her going for Sienna when the shift happens, but not fall to the depths of Adam. Would make an interesting thing during canon's period if she ends up searching for Blake or something.
I doubt strongly she will even come close to joining Beacon as a student, no interest at all, slightly higher for her becoming a teacher, but still very low.
The inclusion and insistence of the Brawen tribe at the beginning is noteworthy, wonder if they will ever join the cult learn who the Moth in the journal was.
By the way, this is clearly another story where fights are not going to be the problem in the first place (hello Nuckelavee, goodbye Nuckelavee), the Moth wants a cult, and to be remembered, so, politics?
Speaking of the Nuckelavee, wonder if she inadvertently saved Norah's and Ren's village, at the very least, she avenged it.
There is also the question of how nuclear Radiance will be when learning about Salem, yes, *how nuclear*, because there is no worlds where she takes her calmly instead of trying to kill her with prejudice, not only is she the head of the grimms (who reminds Lumina of the vessel, also, taking the name of her brother), she has a god complex, and we all know how much Radiance hates other gods trying to pretend they are on her level (her brother is the only one that she would accept, I think).
Oh! Her brother, so, first, for those who don't know, here is a picture:
The true form is the giant thing at the center (the Nightmare's heart), its avatar is the bug in the bottom right corner (Nightmare king Grimm)
But more important, he comes for kingdoms that will fall, and canon has the fall of Beacon... I so hope our dear Moth will be able to meet him when it happens. Now, the fall is not guaranteed, but if Lumina stays outside Vale for most of the story, there is no reason it wouldn't happen, since she wouldn't change most of the events leading to it. Currently, the most likely things she could change is influencing the white fang in general, and Adam and Blake in particular.
By the way, this is clearly another story where fights are not going to be the problem in the first place (hello Nuckelavee, goodbye Nuckelavee), the Moth wants a cult, and to be remembered, so, politics?
Also commenting on this, well. Even mortals can just have cheat codes for a Semblance if we look at what canon lets people have. And while Lumina may be mortal now, she still holds her light. Which is a really nasty power for anyone to face. I am reasonably certain there is exactly one RWBY-canonical character who can dodge light going at its actual speed, and that is Blake by virtue of clone-dodging via Semblance.
Unfortunately, the best semblances tends to come with a bad case of braindeath, as evidenced by the girl who can be invincible for one minute… and proceed to fight defensively for the duration of said minute instead of throwing all defense and just concentrating on hitting, since any *trade* will always be in her favor.
Then again, this may be the case for most semblances discussion actually, looking at you, Penny, discussing how Ruby can take others with her when using her semblance when: A, it was used several times before. B, the very first instance of it being used this way was done with you.
Though I am not sure which semblances you are calling cheat codes, the bests I can think of are Ozpin, maybe, since it is never confirmed what he has, so it could well be magic that accelerated him, and Adam, same problem, we don't know his limitations, can he take anything? He needs a weapon, but that's the only weakness we know.
General Ironwood has a mental illness, not a semblance, about the same with Hazel (and for once I am not talking about him spending year working for Salem), the old blind woman has good training, not a semblance, Jaune is not that impressive.
Actually, Neo probably won the lottery among all the examples I can think of, and is probably the absolute best at dodging Lumina's attack, baring ability to see through her, by simple virtue of not being there.
But if we look at just the main cast, what do we see... Ruby has super speed while also dispersing into petals, which should theoretically make it near impossible to hit her. That is just a recipe for some great dodge tricks, the insane mobility aside. Blake can survive anything by switching places with a shadow clone and also do combos with herself. Weiss has basically magic in how versatile her glyphs are, up to and including to summon whatever she manages to kill. Yang is actually the weakest of them outside of straightforward fights, but she can just throw back anything that does not kill her anyway.
Then we look at Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora, who are similarly powerful in their own applications. Same with Neo. Or Emerald.
Calling them "cheat codes" may be a bit disproportional, but every single one of these powers is incredibly potent. I do not treat them as being the baseline of abilities, they ought to be rather quite powerful for what they allow their owners to do.
Don't forget Jaune, who can both heal, provide a defensive buff, restore aura and give someone's semblance a boost all at once, which is just as bullshit, because it's basically just an enhancement for anyone's abilities.
Pyrrha was, funnily enough, killed by her reluctance to reveal her semblance, if she had experience in using big effects instead of subtle ones, she could have made Cinder take more time on her, which may have meant reinforcements.
Ren is completely non combat, but indeed quite good, too bad stealth is not that used, and he only really affects Grimms.
Nora is… situational is one way to put it, she is fucked as far as her having a semblance for any situation where she is alone and her opponent doesn't have electricity, which is most one on one fights she could do. If she is against a lighting mage, they are toast. If she has a teammate who knows how she works, she suddenly can get a huge buff.
I wouldn't put Emerald anywhere near the same level as Neo, she is dirt on the floor compared to the actually good illusionist. She can only do one target at a time, her illusions have defaults, she is weakened when putting someone under them, and so on and so forth.
Contrast Neo, whose illusions never where seen through before being destroyed, who creates physical illusions so automatically works on anyone around (with her clearly still being able to make them see through or something for her teammates since she uses them with Roman there the first time), and has demonstrated several times she could fight easily without any decrease in performance while using them.

It being touch based considerably reduce his power.
Having your ennemies completely forget about you and let the healer heal for at least a minute without any interruptions when you should by all means be in the process of finishing the weakened person off is not a good representation of how his semblance should be used despite just that happening in its unveiling.
And I really don't find him that impressive, he's just a basic buffer, it's nothing new, I spent more time putting more buffs than he ever can on my party before any serious fights in Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous. Let's not even talk about healing, which is good, but he's not *resurect the dead* good, which is what the concurrence looks like.
Marrow might have the most BS semblance in a fight, it being making people unable to move. We've seen him use him to freeze some of allegedly the best fighters in Remnant in place, then calmly handcuff them while having a conversation.

While you are correct, I feel you undersell Nora there. She can always carry some lightning Dust to charge up with on her own and is completely immune to any electricity-based damage including natural lightning. So at worst it does nothing, at best she utterly stomps her opponent.
You are also incorrect that Emerald can only affect one person; I have no idea where you get that she is weakened while doing so either. Emerald has used her illusions on groups before. See the end of Volume... 5? Her little breakdown when she thinks Cinder is dead.
Either way, what I was getting at is that all of these effects are plenty strong on paper even though I feel RWBY does not really use them to their full capacity in most cases. At the same time, again, I do not want to treat effects this potent as a baseline. I discussed the matter with others in the past and it was pointed out that the many strong Semblances we see may be like that because we follow aspiring hunters and at Beacon no less. A strong Semblance would facilitate being among the best. Same for the aces and fighters we see in later seasons, or Tyrian who can just straight up ignore aura.
Except Qrow, that guy just slays despite being blessed with shit.

In S3 she got annoyed because it was hard for her to use her semblance on multiple people at the same time, she was suffering having to use it on the paramedics that were taking Mercury out of the arena, I think?
Later seasons forgot or retconned that, and she basically has Neo's semblance now.
Volume 5... I mostly take into account volume 3, where she never affects more than one person and is very clearly in bad shape when doing her trick on Pyrrha. The fight with the maiden makes it very clear she's inferior to Neo in every way, what with not doing anything else than maintaining the illusion at the beginning, and it being seen through just because someone kicked up some dust....
The trick in volume 5 is not her baseline, it's just a big image that isn't trying to be anything more than a distraction while she flees, Neo can do better easy.
And yeah, as Omnur says, her being able to use it on more than one person is either a retcon or the result of training, she absolutely can't during her first appearances.
???: "Actually, I believe this land isn't yours."
Pale King: "And who are you to tell me what I can and cannot own?" The Old Shopkeeper: "A real fucking God."
Yeah, we knew the Dream and Nightmare realms used to be one, but I don't think there's been anything definitive on the relationship between the Radiance and the Nightmare's Heart, beyond the fact they're both higher beings.
Keep in mind that Hollow Knight lore goes the SoulsBorne route of storytelling where they give you a bunch of crumbs to put the story together for yourself. This means a chunk of the stuff I work with here is my own interpretation of the information we got in the game.
So yes, in this installment Grimm and The Radiance are siblings deities.
