Queen of the Lost and Forgotten

Fun chapter, I wonder if Taylor will make Lisa a deal. Info on Coil would be valuable, potentially valuable enough to allow Lisa to become a maid. Which would be a major promotion for her, probably.

Lisa becoming a perfect maid makes perfect sense because Lisa is desperate to get out from underneath Coil's thumb. If protection from him means she has to make a very one-sided deal with the Faerie Queen, she probably would do it in a heartbeat.
I do have wonder if such a deal would include Brian *Aisha*, Rachael, and Alec or if it would be limited to just Lisa?

Also having at least Lisa under her roof will allow Taylor to get a better understanding of the nature of shards which will be useful.

Actually, I am wondering if the PRT is going to 'gift' Vista to Taylor. (not as such, but ask Vista to investigate the Hebert house disapearence, Vista gets lost in Faeryland, PRT ask Taylor to get Vista back (or Taylor decides on her own to see who is lost), however due to poor wording and/or Vista taking a bargain, PRT authority over Vista is transfered to Taylor)....

I am really curious as to how you came to the conclusion the PRT would Vista to investigate the Hebert's 'missing' house?
Would Vista making a deal with Taylor be connected to the fact that fairy tales as they currently exist have lost their cautionary tale quality?

because of this part

"She hasn't done anything overtly illegal. Armsmaster went to the last known location of the Hebert residence. He couldn't detect any radiation or odd energy signatures, and he put a discrete camera and sensor up on the light pole across the street. He thinks that the house is still there in some form of folded space.

"Do you think Vista could deal with it if needed?" Piggot asked.

"I don't know. We could have her check, but the Wards don't usually patrol that far out, and at this time I feel it would be unwise to antagonize Miss Hebert." Renick said.

Piggot gave him a sour look, but she was sensible enough not to ignore advice. "Go on." Piggot said.

Right, thank you pointing the folded space connection because I had overlooked the broader implications of that statement as I was distracted by something else that the time.
I think the footage from the camera Armsmaster put in place to 'observe' the Hebert house should be as interesting as it will be frustrating for those who receive it.
I think that if the PRT do send Vista to poke around at the patch of folded space, we will see our first odd power interaction. It will be interesting to read what the Wards are told about Taylor and if that leads to Missy investigating on her own.

Oh my gawd, Myrddin is going to be. so. P̩ͣI̞͕ͥͫṢ͖̯̿̃̆S͍͖̯̳̉ͯͯ͗E̟̖̺͌͆͊͌ͅḌ̻ͤͦ̋!

This has fun times written all over it! You certainly have my attention.

Question: Did QA get converted to Mana?

Uhh, depending on Myrddin's level of authenticity, I doubt he'd be pissed, and more that he might need a change of pants or three.

If you go by the older myths, the original Merlin was less Dumbledore or Gandolf, or even Elminster, and was actually a bonefide Druid. If he's going for authenticity, or even is in some way authentic, then a Queen of the Fae returning to the world is all sorts of Nopenopenopenope... Nope.

It is a shame that the existence of Titania and Oberon (as well as Puck) were largely constructs of Shakespeare's imagination, though their descriptions do give their basis as Summer Court/Seelie type Fae. Then again, the Identity of Titania could have been born from Shakespeare's character, but existed before by another name and perhaps personality. The power of human belief and imagination rewriting a magical being wholesale, almost like a Time Lord undergoing a Regeneration.

Would also explain the Jabberwocky, as I recall no such thing existing before Lewis Carol, though a manifestation of Nightmares could easily have existed in other forms before it's current incarnation.

I have found this and I love it already!! This hits all my interests in fae lore and folklore and I am squeeing over how well depicted the fae are.

Alien, dangerous, vengeful, grudge keeping, but also with their own personalities and quirks!!

Seriously this is solid gold 10/10

My knowledge base of the lore behind Fae always leaves me with a case of the shivers. This fic is successfully recreating those shivers. The only other time that has happened in recent time was dealing with and learning about the fairy type gym leader in the Pokemon Sword/Shield games.

Now I am simply anticipating more.

Coil is so very screwed. Kaiser may not be too far behind. A man who wraps himself in Iron armor, hoping to treat with The Queen of Fae? Nope. Actually, does anyone know what metal Kaiser uses for his armor? I'm second guessing myself because I don't remember if it's iron or not.

Coil is in a enormous pickle because The Queen of Fæ has time powers. Wouldn't Kaiser's metal armor provide a slight, if temporary, edge when engaging in negotiations with Taylor?

Yeah, then she breaks out Jabbie for walkies......yeah, no, there is nothing that anyone in the bay has that can do a damm thing to Taytania. As long as she has the Jabberwocky's loyalty she is golden.

Yeah, the Jabberwocky is one of Taytania's primary trump card, but that loyalty and relationship will take time to build. Until then, Taytania will have to rely on her wits, her intellect, and coordinating activities with few other remaining fairies.

Side note: I am also curious as to whether or not new magical creatures will begin to be formed in appropriate now that Taytania is providing a boost, however small, to the ley-lines and has plans for not allow magic to fade and dwindle again?

No, if I remember correctly using iron on a Fae, even if on accident is a direct way to get them personally pissed at you.

It would be like wearing gloves to a diplomatic meeting and shaking hands with someone from another nation, only to later find out someone put Anthrax powder on your gloves. That other nation now believes you deliberately tried to kill their diplomat whether it was your fault or not.

I stand corrected in light of your counter-argument. I had in my mind that Taytinia would approach her meeting with Kaiser use her human side. But you make an effective counter argument as to that may not out the way I thought it would.

Keep in mind though, that I don't remember exactly what metal Kaiser's armor is made of. If it's not Iron, he's good, but if it is Iron... Bad news there. Maybe someone can find out what his armor is. I'm unfortunately too busy to look.
