Ugolino's sheet - Motoko Azami
Note: Three days of random, panicky flailing at a keyboard later, this was the result.

"I'm Motoko Azami...I'm fifteen years old...and I'm...starting my third year at Koushun Middle School as a transfer student..."

"I'm in the Writing Club...It..it's n-nice to be around people, even if no one really asks me about things...or talks to me...or really notices me most of the time. Talking to people...It's hard. They always seem to be busy, or in their own groups, having fun...

I-My parents really want me to do well on the entrance exams...They only want me to do well...It's hard sometimes, though...I'm not really good at doing anything in particular...No one ever seems to want to talk to me, not even my study partners, and I'm busy all the time. The writing club was their idea too...

"W-we have a pet rabbit at home. She's called Nora...My parents got her for me a year ago when we moved here...the landlady wasn't too happy but she agreed in the end...Mom said taking care of her was... was my responsibility...Sometimes I talk to her when I get too lonely...I know it's stupid, but it's like she's really listening...Kind of..."

"I wish I knew... that I had someone I could trust...Someone I could know would listen to me, tell me what she thinks, who cared and would help when things got too tough...I guess she'd be kind of like a senpai to me...

I know. It's silly...Mom always says I should stop daydreaming and think about what I'm supposed to doing, so I guess I shouldn't waste any more time...

I just wish that I knew someone like that, you know?"

Name: (Motoko) Azami
Wish: To have someone she could depend on/trust and talk to.
Wish effects: To summon a powerful ally. This construct takes the form of a tall, vaguely feminine figure in flowing silk robes wielding a polearm (tentative) and with a white mask for a face.
(As a side effect and to a lesser extent, enhanced telepathy and ally detection.)
Weapon: Baton
Outfit: Flowing, made of blue-green silk with delicate white embroidery.

Thoughts and general feedback welcome. :V

The sheet looks great. I'd say that it would make sense of her to get some kind of enhanced telepathy (things like making suggestions, contacting others from really far away, etc) which would really help her make and maintain friends.

Alternatively, she can get an intelligent super bunny familiar!

Transfer student, ironically enough. Doesn't really know anyone yet, and it's exam year. She also has a bad habit of freezing up and is kind of bad at taking the initiative.

Suffice it to say, she's not exactly an unbiased commentator on events.

Krsnik's sheet - <unknown>
- Name: <unknown>
- Age: <unknown>
- Occupation: student

- Soul Gem color: blue
- Wish: "I don't want to have to think about everything."
- Context of the Wish: Seemingly everyone kept bothering her with questions (about things she doesn't care about) while she was trying to read. Then Kyubey showed up.... and tried to ask her more questions.

- Appareance: petite; 5'; blue hair;
- Personality:
* She is a very private individual and does not like to talk about her personal life to anyone. She tends to not outwardly show strong emotion.
* She is not very good at social interaction.
-- She appears to have social anxiety around people that she doesn't know well or wants to make a good impression upon.
-- She is usually very quiet unless speaking upon a topic that interests her.
-- She is somewhat manipulative and expects people to do things that she asks them to do and gets frustrated when they don't.
-- She will always defer to others unless she has a strong opinion on a topic.
-- She is usually a follower but if she thinks current leadership is incompetent she will attempt to take control (and is often successful).
* She seems to be quite intelligent (if she ends up enrolled in school, she'll get good grades without much effort), but has horrible study habits.
* She is lazy and does not put effort into things that do not interest her.
* Her interests include math and the hard sciences, which she seems to know quite a lot about.
* She enjoys reading.
- Backstory: This character begins the game with amnesia. She has no memories of herself or her past but retains most (all?) of the skills and knowledge she has learned. She seems to know quite a bit about physics.
Her life, until recently, was fairly normal. She had good parents, but was never really all that close to them. She was picked on for being a nerd and didn't have many friends. She was living in town by herself so she could go to a better school. Her parents were fine with this as she has shown herself to be independent and trustworthy. She didn't tend to call home very often (her parent's won't be trying to contact her for some time).

So.... if this character is picked the GM(s) would get to completely make up a backstory and wish for her. She seems to have at least some control over electromagnetic forces and uses this to power her weapon: a forearm-mounted coil-gun.

EDIT: Expanded the personality section.
EDIT 2: Added wish.

Advice:
You should make a detailed background/personality because that's how sheets are judged. If you say that you'll make a wish/backstory if the sheet is picked nobody will know how to judge it (and most chances are that it won't get picked).

So you should write down her wish and backstory even if she isn't aware of them herself. And for a magical girl with amnesia the most important part would be her personality, which is not very expanded on in your current sheet.

The idea was to give (close to) free reign to the GM(s) on the character's backstory (I don't really have an idea) and a wish that would make sense given that, with my input to that being fairly minimal. If they don't want to do this, then I'm fine with them not picking the character.

I agree with you about the personality part....

JustMyself's sheet - Fukui Reika
Meh, why the hell not?

- Name: Fukui Reika
- Age: 11
- Occupation: Student

- Soul Gem color: White with specks of grey
- Wish: "I wish to be like Grievous, to be awesome like he was!"
- Context of the Wish: Just finished watching a 'best of' video of General Grievous. Her wish was made in the hopes of being a badass lightsaber-slinging warrior robot, through she's a little squirmish with the idea of a being rebuilt
-- Moar Context: Somewhere at 2 A.M., after having marathoned all Star Wars movies, she decided to, instead of sleeping, to watch more videos on the internet, focusing on the awesome lightsaber battles and on the awesome saber-wielding cyborg general

- Appareance: A short bob of light green hair, barely reaching her shoulders; big green eyes that turn golden when transformed; tall for her age and athletic, if somewhat thin
-- Clothes: Mostly practical, very rarely wearing skirts other than the school uniform; casually, uses knee-or-tight lenght shorts but her mother insist on making her wear long socks or leggings, alongside normal running shoes and mecha and sci-fi themed t-shirts
- Personality: Complete tomboy - loves giant mechas, super-heroes, sports, and video games, having a particular passion for the sci-fi genre; this means she is seen as one of the boys and has an easier time interacting with them. Also naive, focus narrowed towards her family, friends and tastes and ignoring mostly everything else
- Backstory: Lost her father before her birth because of an assault gone wrong, her widowed mother took care of her as much as she could, but because of work her real caretakers were her uncle, a gifted but ecentric mechanic that makes combat robots for a hobby
- Any other additional information you wish to add: I... don't remember if we can choose wish/weapon... suppose I can suggest, at least
-- Weapon: Lightsabers - obviously; she can make as many as she want at the same time, but they only turn on if she is holding them, can make in green, blue, and red
-- Uniform: Pale white armor in the style of Grievous's body - translates into cuirass resembling a ribcage, alongside leggings, greaves, pauldron, vambrace and gauntlets; all covering a green body suit and acompanied by the general's mask, remodeled as a helmet with retractable face
[EDIT] -- Powers: The standard meguca package - greater strenght, endurance, agility, speed and so on. Notably, as being based on General Grievous, someone who lacks the force, so would she; instead, she gains the tactical mind and weapon prowess that made him the single most feared duelist and general of the Confederacy of Independent Systems

You're asking a cat to bark.

@EtchedSteel How about this one?

"Make me the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End"
...

Are you trolling?

Dude, look at the canon wishes (excluding Madoka's wish) and ask for something like that.

Protecting a friend, saving someone, helping someone, doing something for yourself, changing your life for the better.

Don't ask for power, you'll get cool powers no matter what kind of wish you make. Trying to cheat the system isn't going to fit here.

So she cannot throw them?

Someone did make a Star Wars fan after all!

That literally have nothing to do with my wish except for involving the begining and the end. Key words: "make me the...", turn me into them.
Munchkins gonna munchkin.

To be fair, there's canon precedent for wishing for power, but like, Madoka is an outlier. You're not going to get god tier.

There might be an interesting story arc, however, in someone wishing for omnipotence but having scrub-tier karmic potential, and seeing how that intersects and manifests.

That's my problem. I'm bored with wishes like that. Everybody just wish for good things on other people. Where's the asshole that immediately wish for a paradox? The one that make selfish, non-sensical wish for no real reason?

Make a fan of Mass Effect, wish that element zero/eezo actually exists?

The type of wishes that can be granted kind of relates to my own personal interpretation of how each persons potential is judged. The 3 factors as i see them being 1:Feeling of strong emotions at the time or over a long period of time, 2: Having an importance in regards to fate or history, and 3: Having something you strongly desire. Each obviously contributes a different amount for each person. Now im not going to go into all 3 right now but i think the 3rd one is rather important. I believe the incubators USUALLY only visit someone who has a strong desire for a something even if they dont realize what it was straight away (like in Sayakas case where she had the desire to heal Kyouske but refuses to admit it to herself). In the original series were see this 4 out of 5 times. Kyouko strongly desired her father to be recognised, Mami really didnt want to die, Sayaka wanted Kyouske to love her, Homura desperately wished to save Madoka. Madoka is the odd one out because she wished to save a cat. Thats why her potential was utter shit at the start. After that she is an oddball because of Homura increasing her potential artificially (AKA an increase in #2 - Mattering to history or fate).

I believe an incubator would not offer a contract to someone whos making a wish just for the sake of it or for the sake of something random.

Edited, so hopefully, there is significantly less despair. (that's saved for the RP proper :V)

Name: Elizabeth (Elissa) Connover
Age: 14
Occupation: (Homeschooled) Student and Heiress

Soul Gem Color: Light Blue
Context: A completely sheltered and protected child, Elissa was almost never let out of the house- never without supervision. The single daughter of an extraordinarily successful business mogul in Japan, she was essentially locked into the gilded cage of her father's estate for the entirety of her life, with her almost her every need and want taken care of, with one important exception. She does not go outside. Her classes are taught by private tutors, her meals served by personal chefs, her clothes ordered by mail, or picked up by butler. Elissa, her doting father assures her, wants for nothing.

Despite all that, however, Elissa looks outside. She sees those her age walking on the sidewalk by her house, she watches television programs (during the few times she's allowed to, or is unsupervized), she reads books describing lives the likes of which are incomprehendible to her. She realizes that she's in a cage, pretty as it may be, and she longs to see what lies outside....

Wish: I wish I could see what the real world is truly like!

Appearance: Lemme get back to you guys on that >_>

Personality: Elissa's personal expriences and previous lifestyle have caused her to live in such a bubble, that she does not know how to act in a way that others would consider to be proper and appropriate. As a result, she comes off as cold, arrogant, and utterly uncaring. She has a tendancy towards being overbearing and bossy, as she's used to getting what she wants, when she wants it- and it shows in her every social interaction.

Regardless of all that, however, Elissa's not a bad person. She's very empathetic and warm (for the moment), especially if she comes to like you. She just sucks at showing it.

Backstory: Elissa's parents hail from Great Britain, and they moved to Japan when her father's company opened up a new sector there. Her mother, however, died whens Elissa was young, in an incident that her father refused to tell her about. Seemingly as a result, however, her father dotes on his precious little daughter, and does his best to insulate her from the outside world.

The isolation was... partially successful, at best. While Elissa has never set foot outside of her father's estate, she can still watch through the windows and past the fountains in the garden as the world outside her gilded cage moves on. She sneaks peeks at the Television when she can get away with it, and consumes books that one of the maids is always happy to slip to her with a conspiritorial wink. She cannot comprehend how different it is out there, in what she deems to be the real world- but she's incredibly curious about it. And naturally, when a particular bunny-cat slipped through the fence and found a girl staring longingly outside, a wish to remedy that was only inevitable.

So, what do you guys think?
I just noticed that this post isn't threadmarked, isn't supposed to be?

To be fair, there's canon precedent for wishing for power
Dude, look at the canon wishes (excluding Madoka's wish)
:V

And actually, even that wish was made out of a desire to save people. Madoka didn't wish for power, she made a wish to change the rules of the world and save her friends.

There's difference between "wishing for power to be the strongest" and "wishing for the power to achieve something", and most of munchkin's wishes seem to be the former.

That's my problem. I'm bored with wishes like that. Everybody just wish for good things on other people. Where's the asshole that immediately wish for a paradox? The one that make selfish, non-sensical wish for no real reason?
*Sigh*

Then make a wish that changes the nature of your character or changes reality in a subtle way that makes your character special. But wishing for a death star isn't more interesting, it's boring.

"I feel like I have to do so many things at once. I wish there was more of me to do all of them!"

Cue shadow clones. :V

But, it is not gurantees that it is what the girl will ask for. Charlotte wished for a cheesecake with her mother even though the thing she wanted the most was for her to be healed. Personality and circumstances play a role as well.

The same thing happened here, maybe Keiko wanted to live, or her friend, or for the debacle to never happened, but she didn't believe it was real, so the wish wasn't what she truly desired for.

I

*Sigh*

Then make a wish that changes the nature of your character or changes reality in a subtle way that makes your character special. But wishing for a death star isn't more interesting, it's boring.

The death star part was always a joke. I went for the Alpha and Omega because it is really, really vague. The GM can do a lot with that.

That's my problem. I'm bored with wishes like that. Everybody just wish for good things on other people. Where's the asshole that immediately wish for a paradox? The one that make selfish, non-sensical wish for no real reason?

Those wishes are invalid; the power of a wish comes from the sincere, heartfelt, desperate desires of an adolescent. You can't game the system in this particular way because Magical Girls derive their power from a wish they're willing to give their soul for. If you can sit down and rules-lawyer your wish rationally it's already invalid because it's not made in a moment of unbridled passion. Homura doesn't stop and think of the perfect wish to save Madoka, she makes one in the heat of the moment that immediately dresses her all-consuming guilt, inferiority, and sense of failure. It's a wish that, just as much as it serves Madoka, serves herself by allowing her to become something she feels has some value through service to someone truly valuable.

Not at all what I was talking about. There's canon Magical Girls who make wishes such as "I want to be super strong" or "I want the power to control those I think are better than me."

That's my problem. I'm bored with wishes like that. Everybody just wish for good things on other people. Where's the asshole that immediately wish for a paradox? The one that make selfish, non-sensical wish for no real reason?

I guess you could call Hanako's wish non-sensical and selfish, she trying to get the love and affection that she never really got from her parents by using her toys. After all, her plushies could never disappoint her, right?
