Unfortunate that its over, but a fun ride while it lasted. Looking forward to seeing the response to your next project.

I know that this is the last chapter, but will you post a kind of plot summary of where you intended the story to go before you lost interest in it?

I'm hesitant to mention details, but I can give a brief overview. Honestly, the story was just about to start pulling away from the small scale, and start focusing on groups and larger shifts. They would have switched between exploring and looking for more crystals and doing more jumps, slowly unlocking the whole population's potential. The next big event would have been finding a refuge a town over, beset by a large group of monsters, coming from a nearby POI. This would have been a big hint that POI's are actually pretty dangerous because they can spiral out of control. Sometime around here, they would have experienced their first jump failure, and while the main combat team recovered, I would have switched views to a secondary team for a while, dealing with a new heavy burden for a few chapters.

past that, plans get a bit murky. I knew I needed a large, dangerous monster to attack the bastion, probably killing at least one of the main cast. I had a nebulous idea that it would be revealed that Sally is actually a prototype and she requires an update. There would have been some sort of mission involved, and it would have (Maybe, very not sure about this) been revealed that the artificer that made Sally was, in fact, Carson Walsh, the MC from Conceptual Deck.

Beyond that, the story would have gone where I felt it wanted to.

Thanks for the story! Would have loved to see more of this, I really like the premise! Sad I only discovered it after the end of it was announced :(

I really don't know what to say about this one. I think, at the beginning, I was very excited to read Project Bastion, I remember thinking it could easily become my new favourite amongst your stories... but I feel like it sort of fell apart as things went on. For me, it was that dragon fight that really turned me off the series but I wasn't as happy as I'd expected with things before that.

Don't get me wrong, it was still a decent read... but I think it falls short of your other works. So as sad as I might be to see this story go away it's probably for the best.
