Sometimes, Lady Luck decides you're having too much of a good/easy time, and decides to throw you a curveball. When that happens, you go with the flow, adapt to it, and you end up different because of that. Maybe better, maybe worse.
Of course, there's always the bastard that receives the curveball like a ton-of-bricks in the chest, and there's no way for you to adapt to it, especially if it kills you.
I was one of those poor bastards. The only difference is that I got a second chance. Only it wasn't from Lady Luck. 'N I doubt it was out of pure benevolence.
