Picking at the Corpse of the Old World. (OOC)

I should note I considered giving my character a night vision implant, so that they can see in the dark. Would that be allowed?

Also, I'll lower the caliber on the rifle because 10mm is insane for a rifle.

Implants are unlikely given the Zovis ideas about Mechanization. Theres a reason they used Slaves and Warbeasts. Also, 10mm isn't that crazy it's a pistol caliber.

Hmm, wondering if it's too late to jump in, I have a Stons in mind I could crank out in under an hour from now.

Vey'Aria
Name: Vey'Aria
Race: Stons
Appearance: Standing at around 6'1, Vey'Aria sports light teal skin and a lean athletic build. Her hair is white and tied back behind her headtail in a braid. She has much of her gear clipped to her belt and the rest in her backpack.
Personality: A composed if snarky girl, Vey'Aria has been running a few minor security jobs for the last year or so, her skill in a fight and keen eye for detail making her good at her job. Middle of three siblings, her parents passed away while they were in their early teens. This made them all step up in responsibility, and lead to Vey'Aria's odd sense of humor. Cold and calculating in battle, but relatively warm and joking out of it, she's developed a tendency to use inappropriate humor both to hide any anxiety and fear she might have, and because it amuses her.

Starting Equipment:
  • Stons War Bodysuit (Old/Broken): In it's prime this skin-hugging suit would provide self-moisturization, kinetic absorption, an hour of breathable air, enhanced vision, and a whole host of other fantastic options. It's seven kinds of irreparably broken right now though, so it's uses are highly limited. Missing the helmet, all automated functions broken, and full of holes, it's remaining uses are of the basic variety. It works as makeshift armor for the upper arms, lower legs, and torso. It also slows water loss slightly and is easy to move around in. Vey'Aria also finds it comfortable, so that's nice.
  • Travelers Cloak: A thick hooded cloak to shield one from the wind and sun, not the rain though since Vey'Aria would welcome that. Also doubles as blanket on cold nights. Has a hood, but the hole in the back for her headtail tends to ruin her mysterious air when she uses it.
  • Combat Knives (X4): Simple but will made steel knives, can be used for melee, throwing, or utility. Kept clipped to the side of Vey'Aria's belt.
  • Dragos'Aria's Modified Magnum Revolver: The classic human revolver fitted with several custom modifications. Was built to function underwater and in other adverse environments and conditions, which is likely part of why it still works so well even today. Bullets are less loud than they might otherwise be, as in not hearing-damaging, and recoil is partly canceled by some strange inner mechanism Vey'Aria has dared not tamper with less she break it. Theoretically has explosive and incendiary shells out there too, plus some more exotic ones, but currently only loaded with regular rounds. Has the name 'Dragos'Aria' scratched into the black steel of the grip, Vey'Aria's great ancestor according to her family.
  • Spare ammo rounds: Sets of six bullets in a simple holding device so all six can be slid into her gun's empty chambers at once.
  • Travel Pack: A sturdy leather number meant to carry plenty of supplies. Most things not of intimidate use end up in here.
    • Water Tank (With Filter): A two-gallon jug of water with an attached water filter to prevent contamination of most harmful substances. Vey'Aria carries extra water both because dehydration is horrible and because Stons need more than most.
    • Moisturizer Spray: A simple spray device that allows one to apply a light mist of water across a surface. Vey'Aria uses it keep her skin hydrated when forced to be away from water for too long, in harsh heat most of all, Easy to refill from any water source.
    • Ration Sack: Pouch containing about two days of non-perishable food.
    • Sturdy Rope (With Hook): Because you never know when you'll need it.
    • Small C4 Bomb: powerful explosive, but only good for one use.
Family Situation: Sister and Brother works as a mechanic and look after adoptive daughter, support Vey'Aria's decision to seek her fortune out in scavenging as her skills leaned that direction.

Looks good. Question when you say it can fire incendiary and explosive rounds does that mean you have them currently on you?

No, I guess I didn't make that clear. I plan to get said rounds in the future either through purchase or through salvage, but common garden variety slugs are all I have right now. This is sort of my way to upgrade as things go on at your discretion. where when you feel it fitting to give me one of those two, or something even more exotic like a gravity bomb bullet or something insane like that.

But now it's just regular ammo to start.

By the way, on that note, how often will my character be able to come across 10mm bullets? They're probably not too uncommon, but I just want to make sure I won't find myself too low on ammunition.

Ah, got it thanks for the clarification.

Eh, not to uncommon but, I would recommend that you think about thinking about reloading rounds.

I probably should have asked before, but... is there a Discord channel? Sounds handy to keep track who's still around.

Really sorry about being late minute about it, but I'll have to drop. Online classes are starting up so my free-time just got cut by quite a bit, I don't think I'll have the time to give this the full attention it deserves.

So for reference, how common is my character's particular model of gun?
Moderately. Not the main weapon of any of the belligerents in the war but, it was used.

@See my smile , All leftover players have posted, so now, how are you going to GM this? One big brick addressing all of us, or little bits for each?
Big brick for those who went to the bar, and then individual stuff as well I just woke up so, I'll get it. Out tonight.

@Nox , @HadesHerald , You're the last two to post IC.

Also, what is the background of the group? I began thinking we were meeting for the first time, or do we have experience with each other? If so, how much experience?
