I would dearly love to, QM. But it seems lilke Tinker is not gonna win, no matter what I do. Trying to come up with outrageous combinations of Trump powers is a consolation, but that would be better used during the actual Leviathan fight. In the meantime, tinkertech really is our best chance of making a difference during the Leviathan fight and saving Kyushu. Masamune is a member of the Sentai Elite.

You nod at Kana with a hesitant look on your face, seeing that she clenches your hand comfortingly, "It's the Yakuza," You spit out as fast as you can, "They tried to recruit me in my civilian identity."
"They probably know where I live."
You raise an eye at the curses Kana murmured under her breath before nodding firmly, "Don't worry minion, I'll get in touch with Red over this," Her smile is rather dangerous after that, "The Yakuza know better than to tangle with the Sentai after all."

"Any other revelation you want to dump on your magnanimous overlord before we move to get lunch, minon?"
"Any idea who we'll be meeting?"
"Well, since it's a relatively small and safe city we've got quite a few of our tinkers here," Cocking her head in though she nodded at me, "Probably Grey and Silver, I don't know if the junior going by Jackpot's going to be there."
She sniffed, "Honestly that one, who names themselves after a cartoon?"
I coughed loudly, drawing attention to myself, "Yes of course, who'd name themselves after children's cartoon," You yawned exaggeratingly, "Never you, senpai, never you…"
You heard Kana sputter as you moved forward, down the stairs much to the pouting Sentai member, before pausing at the next level.
"Why'd you stop minion?"
"I'm afraid I don't know where the Canteen is, Senpai," She smiled more smugly, moving in front of you and taking lead, "I presume you wouldn't want me to discard my super valuable planet destroying powers at the moment?"
"I'd feel more comfortable knowing you weren't throwing around Anti-Matter," She murmured as she took over again and pressed her id into a scanner next to a large door.
You answered her by pouting, it's not your fault your power gave you a slightly lethal blasting power, entering the room your eyes were caught by the various groups of capes that were sitting in the room, the both of you were heading for the spot where three particular tinkers were sitting but you could see some of the other locals and non locals in the room.
It seemed like the Tinker meet would be a success, you smiled at the group of capes happily talking away, men and women from all over the world cooperating to help others, you'd heard that both Hero and Sphere would be coming when the event actually began.
With a small direction, you discarded your offensive power, pulling for a tinker power and grinned as a nice one pulled up, sitting down after Kana did you smiled eagerly at the three Tinkers.

"Welcome, I'm Sentai Grey," The man gently smiling with a knack for making robots greeted, he didn't need to introduce himself, every child knew him - you were no exception, "I go by Seiunsho informally."
The other member of the Sentai was grinning at your eager grinning, before nudging the other junior of the table, "They always fall for the zords."
"Yes senpai, they never care about us normal tinkers," He murmured with exaggerated sadness.
You shook your head, "It's not that," Pausing you corrected yourself, "Well it's not entirely that."
You could see them stifling snorts as you continued, the tinkers might actually tell you why seemed to specialised, "I just pulled a tinker power that seems to be medical focused," you nodded at their serious looks, "Balms, prosthetics, synthetic skin, regeneration pods. It's all floating in my mind."
And a lot of augmentations, still best not talk about those in public.
"And you have no general designs?" Silver asked seriously, "No power armour? Or guns?"
You scrunched your eyebrows in concentration before shaking your head in negative, "Maybe something like a closed system but nothing like a real power armour, I don't think I can make much other than medical machines, not unless I discard another power to pull a new tinker power."
There was a brief lull in conversation as the two looked at each other before talking about some theory you never heard of before backing off to grab even more tinkers, you seem to have sparked the latest debate in a series of long debates.
The youngest tinker spoke up as the seniors seemed busy at talking away with other tinkers, "Ignore those two, they're great tinkers but I think you've excited them enough for the day."
"Is it rare to be specialised?" You asked with a frown, "I thought every tinker had something they're good at, a speciality, Sieunsho has giant robots, Sphere has infrastructure and Silver has mass production."
Jackpot hummed briefly before shaking his head, "That's true to an extent but tinkers like Hero and Armsmaster have made it more difficult for us to pin the issue," He nodded to his own costume, a futuristic and sleek armour lacking the usual effects of the Sentai, "I made this armour, despite the fact that usually my field is limited to transport."
"That is not to say we don't have theories, we do have a lot of those," He paused, tossing a small ring to me and activating it before sending a coin through a ring on his armour, "I can make miniature portals that even Hero would have issues making."
"He probably won't," You offered with a smile.
Jackpot snorted with mock disdain, "True, the man makes armour, disintegration guns, jetpacks and energy fields," He huffed, "Where's the theme?"
"As you can see, most tinkers know they can make certain things better than other things, most of us can make power armour but since Eidolon never tinkers openly we didn't know if specialisation was a firm fact," He deactivated the ring as you passed it back to him, "Despite that powers are a curious thing, Manton's done some interesting research but the Tinker classifications are still being worked on."
"On that note," Your newly gained friend? Acquaintance? Grinned at you impishly, "Now that you're a tinker you want to collaborate? I'm free till the next month."
You looked at your mentor with a questioning look, "Can I do that, Senpai?"
She shrugged, "Entirely your choice, the tinker tech will need to pass through light testing but as a country filled with Tinkers we try to allow them leeway."
"Besides, god knows we won't mind medical tinker tech by the next Endbringer battle."

Stepping into the room most of the noise stopped, the two females, one wearing a green bodysuit with a laurel of flowers and the other wearing a grey overalls with a silver cape looked at you, leaving their chess game behind to stand up
One of the capes, the tinker who was surprisingly not in the canteen had a VR gear over his visor, he'd not paused moving around but at the sudden silence, his ear twitched as he tapped the power button on the virtual reality gear and joined his teammates with a grin.
Another boy in a red and gold bodysuit with was slumped on a beanbag, reading a manga, his head peaked over the book to look at Jackpot as he raised a hand in greeting before his eyes froze over you. With a lingering gaze, he remorsefully set the manga aside as he got up.
The last member was walking out of another room, wearing segmented white and gold segmented armour with an ivory coloured domino mask, "Jackpot! There yo-u are…" He falls quiet noticing you, "Ah! New member?" he asked with a smile on his face.
You smile back, bowing your head fractionally before nodding, "I am Onmyōji, I 'd say I'm the trumpiest trump that ever trumped but Eidolon's got me there.
The tinker was the first to move in to shake your hand, "I'm Akio, you ever need a pair of batteries don't be afraid to ask or if you need help in general."
"Hello fellow hero! It heartens my heart to see another young soul of Youth!" A hand clasped your shoulder as the girl in grey grinned at you covered in glowing white armour.
You stifled a snort, so did the boy in red whilst the others chuckled lightly, "So mighty," You murmured softly with an upward twitch of your lips.
She laughed, patting your back heavily, "I see, you're a youth of culture as well," At this point you both finally lost it, letting out large laughs as you gasped for breath, "Oh man, it's gonna be fun working with you!" She flashed you a smile before letting her armour dissipate and stepped back.
The boy in red and gold stepped forward with a grin, "The dweeb that forgot to give her name's Yoshiko," He materialised a barrier before changing it into a shining silver sword and then a mace, his smile didn't change as he let his power fade, "Katsuo, my power's summoning conceptual things."
At a sudden cough from Akio, he rolled his eyes, "Or exotic energy constructs, as the eggheads like to call them, I hope you'll have fun with us! We've got plenty of stuff to do on our mandated downtime, movies, books, games - you name it and we've got it!"
Smiling at his excited talking, you grinned unabashedly as you clenched both his shoulders empathetically, "Our Youth, will not be tempered!"
A moment later most of you were laughing again as Yoshiko pouted at her friend in green, "But I'm supposed to be the bombastic heroine!"
Who proceeded to shake her head and step forward, growing a... flower out of you Domino Mask, you plucked it out and observed it in fascination, it was exactly like a real tulip.
"I'm Ayaka," said the heroine wreathed in green and wearing a laurel of flowers, "I manipulated and grow plants out of any inorganic object, a pleasure to meet you!"
"I'm Onmyōji the trumpiest trump that ever trumped! I look forward to working with you."
The last cape to step forward was the one who had been about to leave, the man wearing segmented white and gold armour, his smile far more calm and collected than everyone else, "I am Sora, my dominion is over paper."
The armoured cape moved towards the gate before pausing as he looked you, "I was about to go for my scheduled patrol, you can join me if you wish?"

Before you could continue though an aide came with a basic idea for your costume, a primary white bodysuit with dark blue lines and a white cape, your face is covered by a white domino mask that highlighted your glowing eyes.

Here we see the downside of Tinkering... doing something useful with it is likely to tie up one power slot for weeks. Furthermore, anything built will usually require maintenance (though this medical stuff will last for a while) that of course requires reacquiring a tinker power to do.
