I echo @Raiseth: Light loadouts are great for ace pilots who can get the most out of that extra speed and agility. But see the title; we're not an ace, and given that it's the title of the quest, we're probably never going to be one, just like Amani never stopped being a bridge bunny. Reinforced armour suggests greater likelihood of ourselves and our comrades surviving - taking crippling damage, perhaps, but not getting absolutely shredded.

Also, when re-watching Mobile Suit Gundam I just realised that as Char tied up Amuro in combat, the rest of the Zeon grunts could have won the battle if they simply sank the White Base (Zaku II's were ship-killers just use them as designed!).

Let Jay our team cyborg supersoldier take on the super prototype, we sink it's transport or disable for boarding (hostage taking), we win.

It will be hilarious when we desperately throw a bomb at the super-mecha with no pilot, shoot at the bomb, miss an unguided bomb, then Owosu snipes our bomb, sends the mecha off to seek a base for repairs, and the wave of smug destroys half the system.

The largest city in the Outer Solar System and the official capital of Jupiter, Troy is a creeping, multi-levelled thing.
... Does Troy perhaps have an isolated computer system that is vital to the local defences? Is it maybe safe primarily because only the most trusted of personnel have access to it? Would perhaps only the most trusted of personnel be permitted to reverse engineer a conveniently-captured advanced mecha whose systems are very interesting, but whose missiles are utterly unremarkable, but belong to a group which use radioactive fuel and thus have sensor-resistant shielding around there tanks, but nobody bothers checking the tanks, there is barely room for, say, an elite pilot to fit in there, certainly nothing dangerous... ?

If this is a reference to something, I'm drawing a blank, sorry.

I want to be a massive fucking brick this time.

I love the contrast of someone sketchy and conniving just piloting a blunt instrument that just screams 'stand and deliver'.
Actually if you read the Heavy description in detail, you NEED sketchy and conniving moves to get it in ideal position, because it can do major damage to ships and you can't think on the fly with it, its too slow to improvise.
Jupiter is very likely to demand increased autonomy and its own governing council, not staffed by nobles. In contrast, with decrease of noble families, the individual holdings on Moon and Mars will proportionally increase, unless Daystar somehow breaks the feudal system over her knee and establishes direct Imperial rule or something.
I suspect outright independence is on the cards. They KNOW however this turns out the winner can't afford to keep them

I don't actually think it's slower than the medium. They were in the same speed category IIRC. Now, it definitely has more inertia and probably worse agility, but it's primary weakness seems to be its lack of close quarters weaponry.

That being said, you probably do have to think ahead to make sure you aren't forced into a knife fight.

I really like the romanticism of using a light mech, but my time playing Armored Core proved that when you are not that good of a pilot, the firepower can cover for your deficiencies.

Aesthetically I would prefer light, but it doesn't sound like we have the skill to really pull it off. Also, cannons.

Just a generic mecha reimagining of the original Trojan Horse, combined with trojan being a common term for certain strains of malicious software. There are only so many prizes that they would bring inside their walls.
Oh, I'm sorry, I get it.

(The name of the city is just a very shallow reference to Ganymede having been a Trojan prince.)
