[x] They

[x] Pirate of the Callisto-bean

I like me some mad scientist. Which, given we are actually functional in society, and a front-line combatant, probably means a Macguyver-level nerd.

I'd just like to point out that all the EDN picks separately have zero chance of winning since they're so divided, so unless people want to get some unity going...

RIP my hopes and dreams for a Determined/Scatterbrained protagonist, or anything/Scatterbrained protagonist.

Initiating tactical voting protocol.

Reminder that the intro has our squad being annihilated by a super-mech and Owusu just volunteered to join that fight
I mean, I'm sure he'll be fine. We don't have a track record of killing off our mecha pilots in favor of strategic gains or anything.

Honestly, I'm reasonably sure that Owusu isn't going to die in the first battle/beat of the Quest. Oh, he's totally up for, "Can die, quite probably will" just like everyone else, but narratively/etc it doesn't make sense for him to die that early unless we really fuck things up.

...which we might, mind.

That was a dream sequence. Titanium started the same way.

We'll see if he appears in our list of "things that don't happen after this battle".

If "oh, this character has enough plot armor that we probably don't need to spend our own mojo keeping him alive" were true, we'd have an Ito romance option.

I didn't say that, though? I said that narratively it'd make less sense to immediately put him on the chopping block (barring incredibly bad choices), rather than giving him slightly more time to cook and then putting him on the chopping block for the rest of the Quest until, quite likely, we wind up having to sacrifice him.

Yeah, it's Miss "I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself" that's almost certainly going to bite the dust.
