Hikari had no clue how the curtains worked. Hikari wasn't sure she wanted to know how the curtains worked.
Hikari, under most circumstances, would have been forced to admit that she needed to know how the curtains worked.
But they'd been lucky. The Shadows in this area were so slow that, if they were all to run, they could never catch up with them. The Overseer Eye was presumably a good deal faster than that... but her group wasn't exactly weak, either.
Or. She liked to think they were. Even if one of them didn't rely on using a Persona that much and the other she couldn't read, if that was their only opponent... Maybe they could do something.
At the very least, it was easier for her to think about that than to admit that she needed to actually experiment with the world around her. So.
"We're going to make a run for it," She declared, quietly. They'd all, more or less, gotten into the habit of doing things quietly while they were here, even if they weren't someplace that they could be heard. "We're far from the entrance, if we go fast-"
"Maybe it won't see us?" Shinjiro finished. "I mean, I definitely can't see anything, but... Guess you don't have any other ideas."
Well. Technically, she had a few. It was just that, if it turned out well, the trip up to this point could have been a lot more interesting than just stumbling along through the dark.
But... maybe it wasn't the best idea to admit to that.
"If we knew where the FOE was, we could make our move when it was least likely to come back," Ribbon pointed out. "Are your powers still functioning strangely?"
Now would be the time to check. Hikari stepped back a little, to ensure that the summoning light didn't attract any attention, and called for Gullveig.
If anything, the results were stranger, and more incoherent, than they had ever been before. At least, when it came to the landscape.
If it were just a being, Hikari was sure she would have found it familiar. Specifically, it was slightly less confusing than when she tried to use her powers to examine Shinjiro. With him, when she learned something new, it gave her something look for, and once she found it that was a nice solid point in a sea of error messages. Mostly. The whole thing was kind of glitched out when it came to personal information. And searching for his age returned two possible results, so she couldn't even use that to settle any disputes that would undoubtedly develop.
In contrast, this place... well, she couldn't scan three feet in front of herself, but behind her... anyplace where she had stood before was entirely open to her view, including whether or not Overseer Eye was present there.
...Unfortunately, Overseer Eye was not presently where she could see it. So. That wasn't currently as helpful as it could have been, though she guessed it would be useful if she felt like waiting around to get the most time out of it as possible... particularly since they were close to the middle, at the moment, if she was remembering the actual map correctly, and there was no way of knowing if the FOE was just out of her range or not.
[ ] ...They'd make a run for it right then, and hope for the best.
[ ] They'd wait around until the Overseer Eye passed by the middle- if Hikari was right about their relative location, that'd give them as much time as possible.
[ ] They'd wait around until the Overseer Eye had gone by a few times, just to make sure they had the timings right.
