Silas must LEARN.

Learn more, Silas.
Knowledge is power, and they guard it well, so you have to flank them with ordinary knowledge before breaking through their bastions of mystery and finally descending upon their troves of anomalous knowledge.

UNKNOWN: Well, I collated a list of class rosters, dates yearbooks, and so on from [DATA LOST] Their Class Representative is being oddly uncooperative, but I have someone coming—
So there are at least three members of the Student Council discussing... something. One has a higher standing than the others, although they themself are in poor standing with the Student Council President, Ichiro what's-his-name. They further state that a Class Rep is being oddly uncooperative. Now, we know of two classes, 4-1 (with Yumika), and 4-2 where all our classmates are at. They could be talking about either. Inoue surely is... disagreeable lately, and though it's OOC knowledge, we can guess who runs 4-1. What's their stake in stalling the investigation?

And who could be listening in on the ones conversing? Just 'B. S. Overwatch Units' whose function is to subvert phones, or is it a person who found how to access them? The intended user/recipient seems to be... Sera? But she also appears to be out of reach.

"L-Literature Club?" Silas really shouldn't have spoken. It wasn't his business. But he was interested. "What kind of books do you read?"
Silly goose, they don't read anything in the Literature Club. They just eat cookies and occasionally a member hangs, so they never get the numbers.

Although... if Aomori has plans of hosting the Club despite it not having any kind of official status, does it mean that it doesn't exist? A non-existent club studying non-existent things. Sounds like a decent place to poke that mystery!
"Ugh. It was something like… uh… 'Imperishable Night,' I think. Yumika-san from 4-1 played the—"
A fine piece of literature, but as a fellow vampire, Silas would probably prefer the 'Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil'.

Who am I kidding, it's probably issued by the Peace Bureau as anti-Ambernian propaganda.
"There is no Literature Club. They were disbanded last year. For good reason." Her lip twitched. "There is, however, now a Tabletop Club. We got approved earlier this week. So… stop by. If you'd like. If you have the time."
Oh come on, Monika Sara, this is just petty!

Silas is already overly analytical; I think it's time to ingratiate ourselves into an existing power structure and try to exploit it for our needs.

[x] [Focus] It's… unnerving. Understandable, but unnerving. The Student Council has power here, and that includes the power to dictate what is and isn't acceptable to talk about. But why... this? There was probably a good reason, but it was so frustrating. If only he had more influence in their organization, so he could gain access to their secrets. (Changes specialization: Tact --> Gravitas. +1 to Gravitas. Represents respect for authority and hierarchical structures, and is appreciated by those who value such things.)

The Master Spy dream will not be denied.

We will have Gravitas!

Things just didn't seem to be going well recently. His train was late this morning—only his train.
"Aoki-san. You need to slow down. Slow down. Are you sure? In the metro service, too? How are we sure it hasn't spread to—who else have you told?"
Things are getting weird on the railroad. Hope we aren't watching the beginning of a beautiful trainwreck!

I know we want to finish the Studying habit, but I kinda want Silas to do something to take his mind off things, even if it's putting his words, feelings and observations to the text. Journal notes, here we come!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
UNKNOWN: Okay–So a lot of students have vague memories of [DATA EXPUNGED: COGNITOHAZARD DETECTED] if you talk about her. And we have data that seems to corroborate the first half of that story. But this isn't actionable intelligence, this is just storytelling.
Guess there's another Sera running along.

Looks like these biohazards are persona's... maybe? Did... Silas just succesfully sabotage the machine's thing by increasing his imagination to the point where his "Big Sis" actually becomes a real person? It definitely attach to him though.

"You are an actual shut-in gremlin. A bona-fide NEET. A terminally unloveable, dorky, silvette with a chatbot vtuber for a caretaker."
Why do I feel like Sera is inspired by that girl and chatbot vtuber combined? The whole job thing she's working on probably comes from him searching about said job as well as just looking at various media kind of like it.

One thing's for sure though. He just turned Big Sis into a real person with a bunch of people's memories altered. And it's all through the power of IMAGINATION!!!

Also, no sentence with Literature Club and the word Hang at the same time please. Thanks!

Interesting. So you think Silas' Nee-chan is an artificial construct that resulted from an amalgamation of a missing person and Silas' browsing history? As a replacement mechanism, perhaps? Someone important goes missing, and a family member appears to compensate? The memory shows Sera being present for their conversation, though... but memories may also be unreliable.

Or do you imply that Sera borrows traits from the person in question, trying to be like them in certain ways? Or that this somehow is Silas' doing? Or what?

One thing's for sure though. He just turned Big Sis into a real person with a bunch of people's memories altered. And it's all through the power of IMAGINATION!!!
My memory may be foggy; how do you get that connection? Sera's co-workers experience signs of mind tampering, sure, but the same could be said of Silas' own school, and Sera never put her foot there as far as we know.

Wait, do you think the cognitohazard in the logs is Sera? It's... an interesting take. I thought she'd be in her twenties, way past graduation, and it was a student who went missing (they wouldn't have to go through class rosters otherwise). Then again, the SC members may not be talking about the student, but something/someone else there.

What do you make of "address 'sera@bs.cmd' does not exist"? This is one of Big Sister's protocols running, yeah? And it seems the Overwatch Unit can't get in contact with Sera. Sera is also currently investigating Big Sister hacking into her workplace; she has no clue there is any connection between them.

Yep, this is the one I'm implying.

Whoops, should've added a comment with brackets of how the school cognito hazard and whatever Sera is separate.

Definitely not what I'm implying here.

Self-explanatory if you ask me. Address 'sera@bs.cmd' does not exist because Sera was not an actual real person until recently! Just like with the security card scene. Whatever Silas's imagination thing is. It's clearly limited in terms of mind whammy.

In conclusion, the cognito hazard can only alter people's minds. Not bend reality to it's will.

[X] [Action] A naive internet search doesn't reveal any hits for the alleged musical, Interminable Night. But Silas could look more into it, if he wanted to. Fiddle with browser settings, cookies, incognito mode… there has to be something. Surely, he's not going crazy. Surely. (Smarts check, DC 10. Obtain an important lead for Immoral Literature)
