Gaullists in real life are likely successors should Darlan kick the bucket. The short list is Jacques Soustelle, Georges Pompidou, Michel Debré, and Jacques Chaban-Delmas.

Jacques Soustelle was governor general of Algeria and joined OAS in real life. The position of governor general for Algeria doesn't exist, but he'd likely remain a powerful political broker within the local military and administration. George Pompidou solidified Gaullism after De Gaulle's death, serving as president and leading the party. Michel Debre was prime minister of the Fith Republic and architect of its constitution. He served under Pompidou in real life and was considered a "guardian of Gaullist orthodoxy." Jacques Chaban-Delmas was another prime minister under Pompidou, he's the vaguely "progressive" Gaullist fine with granting Algerian independence, was pro-welfare state, and worked with Pierre Mendès France's center-left government.

    • So looking at things, The Radical Democrat and Labour coalition has handely won Britain, and Darlan edges out the Radical Democrat and Labour coalition in Algeria, though it's a knife fight, to be sure. Otherwise Mosley is still kicking due to SOME PEOPLE who I won't name being hot for the 66 year old fascist! :V

    Otherwise, the regional parties have attained a respectable share of the vote, same with Harold's British wing of the NPU.

    While I agree, your vote is too late to count. You can be happy that Labour/Radical Liberals won Britain and got in a knife fight with Darlan over Algeria though.
