That was a good chapter to a GREAT fic!

Hey, any chance you do another DAria adaptation like this? maybe with OBlivion, or Skyrim?
Or even with another game instead of Morrowind?

Thank you so much!

I'm not planning on any more crossovers. While I'm sure a great story about her life in Oblivion's Cyrodiil or Skyrim's, well, Skyrim could be written, I think someone else should tackle that kind of thing. Morrowind's version of Tamriel is the one I'm most passionate about.

This was a really enjoyable read overall. I've never watched Daria, but you did a good job presenting the characters and making them interesting. At times it felt like Daria's acerbic wit was a little too self destructive for how intelligent she is in general, but I guess she is a teenager. Tiphannia was my least favorite character as she came across more as a stereotype or running gag than an actual character. You did a great job at making Morrowind come to life and your dialogue was superb. Overall the story was really good and I look forward to whatever you write next.

Yeah, Tiphannia was a really one-note character on the show, as well. I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't try to change her up since like you said, she's not much more than a running gag (and her one gag tends to wear out its welcome).

My hunch is that this story is easier for people who aren't familiar with Daria than it is for people who aren't familiar with TES. The Daria characters are gradually introduced, and while I try to do the same with the setting, the fact remains that there are a ton of references that might be troublesome for those who don't know about the games.

Thank you!

Really building the anticipation for the inevitable last epilogue, Daria, ain'tcha.

That's the idea!

So the plan here is that the epilogue sections will be introduced in chronological order. Because a lot of characters are Mer, that means we'll actually be going pretty far into the future. However, once we get to Jane's, it'll segue back in time for Daria's POV section, which will be the actual ending.

All the interesting factions on Morrowind are blown up?
Evil bigot totally-not-nazi elves win and stay on top for hundreds of years?
TES plot really took a dive after Morrowind.

I agree I'm not necessarily a big fan of where the TES storyline went. And while Oblivion and Skyrim are both fine games, they just don't draw me in the way Morrowind did.

That said, a lot of the Morrowind factions are still around. Redoran and Telvanni are still kicking, and Hlaalu is present though much weaker. But yeah, the Dunmer probably lost whatever progress they made towards open-mindedness. I think fantasy and sci-fi franchises tend to over-rely on major cataclysms as agents for change. In my view, it's much more interesting to see social changes building upon the events of previous eras/games. This allows for a much more organic setting that doesn't just have long periods of stagnation interrupted by major disasters that usually don't do much other than set everything to zero.
