The Fall Of Navel Island! Team Aqua Returns! [P5]
When I pressed the man about the other PokéDex Holders and about what Team Aqua would want with the other PokéDex Holders, he clammed up and refused to say another word. I tried to convince him to talk for a little while after that but, after his continued refusal to talk to me or answer my questions, I soon realized that it was a waste of time.
I had Swirls put the man to sleep with Hypnosis before Swirls and I approached him. I took off the bandanna that he was wearing before I had Swirls flip him onto his back and pull his arms together. I looped the bandanna around his wrists and then knotted it to tie his wrists together in a loose approximentation of handcuffs.
I turned toward Quartz.

I pulled off my backpack off my back so that I could grab the First Aid Kit that I carried inside it. I pulled out a couple of gauze pads, a couple of bandage rolls and a water bottle. I opened one of the gauze pads and poured some of the water onto the pad before I pushed down on Quartz' side until he got the message and lowered his head to the ground.
I gently started to clean Quartz' eye. He rumbled low in his throat in response to my touch before he took in a long and deep breath and closed his uninjured eye.
"This shouldn't take too long." I murmured soothingly as I rubbed the top of Quartz' head with one hand while my other hand continued to gently clean out Quartz' eye. I discarded the soiled gauze after a moment and then moved to open the other one. I folded it into quarters and pressed it against his bleeding eye.
I opened the roll of bandages with my teeth so that I could secure the gauze in place over Quartz' left eye. I finished bandaging it and then took the time to look him from head to tail and determine if there were any other injuries that I had to take care of. It didn't take me long to determine that he was just mostly bruised and exhausted.
"... I've finished patching you up the best that I can, but I'm going to need to get you to the Pokémon Center so that the Pokémon Nurse can take a look. Will you be alright with staying inside your PokéBall until then?"
"Ooooonnnnn..." Quartz opened its uninjured eye and stared at me for a couple of moments. He closed his eye after a moment. "Ooonnniiiix."
I nodded and pulled out Quartz' PokéBall before I tapped it against the top of his head. I watched as he was engulfed in a beam of red light and then as that light was sucked up into his PokéBall. I stared at his PokéBall for a moment, put it away and moved to start pick up and stuff my things back into my backpack.

I broke out from the underbrush and walked across the small clearing in the direction that I remembered Navel Town to have been. I stopped the moment that I could see past the trees and the smoke and could see Navel Town.
'Oh, God.'
Navel Town looked like a war zone. Bricks and rubble and ash littered the streets, rounded off with the light of fire and the wail of some sort of siren. I could see a few people here and there, moving away from the center of town, but most if not all of them wore the increasingly familiar Team Aqua uniform. Those that didn't wear the uniform were either running away from Team Aqua as fast as they could, fighting Team Aqua with their own Pokémon, or laying still upon the street.
I could feel my stomach rolling at the sight, feel the bile rising up in the back of my throat. I couldn't afford to be sick right now, so I swallowed, breathed slowly through my nose, and forced it down.
A stick snapped somewhere behind me, and with a jolt I reached for a PokéBall, turning and aiming it toward the noise. The figure quickly darted out from the underbrush and into the light and then back into the underbrush -- almost too quick for me to make out. My grip on the PokéBall loosened at the sight of the Rattata before tightening again when I remembered what I had just seen.
I had to get to the Pokémon Center.
I put the PokéBall back and pulled out Aelita's PokéBall before I released her. "Aelita." I started once the red light had faded. "I need you to Teleport us to the Pokémon Center. Quartz is in--"
There was a sudden shift before I felt the disconcerting feeling of being squeezed through a long and narrow tube. I felt something hard underneath my feet and would have fallen if Aelita hadn't caught me. I sent Aelita a grateful look before I looked up to see where in the Pokémon Center Aeltia had teleported us too.
Nothing in the cafeteria looked like it had been left untouched. Chairs had been thrown into the walls, which were dented almost beyond repair. Shelves were broken in half. Broken trays and food littered the floor. It looked like a tornado had gone through the room. The only thing that looked to have been spared was the back wall where the food lines had been.
I paused to see the damage that had been done. The cafeteria looked terrible and the sight of it did nothing to make me feel better. If anything, I felt worse knowing that even a place like the Pokémon Center had not been safe from Team Aqua.
I made to turn around toward the lobby when Aelita suddenly reached out and took hold of my arm. I didn't have time to question or even wonder what was happening before I felt myself being lifted up thrown in the direction of the food lines. I landed roughly on my side and then rolled a couple of feet before I finally felt myself come to a stop.
I looked up after a moment to find an unfamiliar brown-haired man in his late twenties looking back at me. He was dressed in a white shirt and brown pants covered in small rips and tears and dirty white socks. he was wearing a sneaker on his right foot, but the left one was missing.
Standing in the place that I had been standing only moments before was a quadruped, mammalian Pokémon with a dark blue body covered in white fur. It had a ruff around its neck and chest and a tuft on the top of its head adorned with a single blue-black oval. It had a feline face with almond-shaped eyes, red eyes, a scythe-like tail, and a sickle-like horn on the side of its head pointed at Aelita's throat.
"I didn't think that Team Aqua would be stupid enough to send in more people after we pushed you backwards back...." The brown-haired man told me as other similarly filthy and bloodied people walked into view. He looked me in the eye. "It was smart to use Teleport, but if you thought that you could take us all on by yourself then your gravely mistaken."

I'm Not A Criminal: It's... understandable... that this man might think that I was a member of Team Aqua attempting to regain entry into the Pokémon Center, but I'm not. I should attempt to convince him that I am not a criminal.

I'd Appreciate It If You Don't Threaten My Pokémon: ... understandable... that this man might think that I was a member of Team Aqua attempting to regain entry into the Pokémon Center, but I won't let his Absol hurt Aelita. I should attempt to make him call off his Absol or -- if necessary -- force him to.
