One Punch Man - The Anime

YES,i love this manga
The last few chapters of the Murata redraw have been… questionable, in my opinion. The recent bonus chapter's "Lol Sonic is a joke let's have him get punched in the dick", for example, didn't really mesh with what we've seen in the rest of the series or ONE's other work. Likewise the whole "Saitama pretends to be a disciple of Bang and goes to a fighting tournament" filler arc leaves me more than wary.

But Episode 1 of the Anime? Looking good. Very, very good.

Well i saw the murata version first then ONE so i wouldn't know, why does this filler make you wary?

What is that theme playing at the start of that PV video? Damn I want that theme on my ipod!

Edit: I'm speaking of the theme playing right up till the One Punch Man title is displayed.

You probably won't find out until after the first episode has officially aired.

First episode seems to be pretty good.

It isn't the Murata's "Better anime than actual anime" kind of quality, but for the show which doesn't have UBW-tier budget, it dealt with the issues nicely and is pretty good in it's own right.

Granted, I watched a video of a pretty shitty quality, but enough to get general idea, I think.

Edit: Actually, looking back, bad quality of the video really made the animation look much worse than it actually was. It's not just "Pretty good".

I don't think they need that much budget. After all everything end in one punch;)

It doesn't seem especially in-character for Saitama (impersonating another person in a contest for money), not even in regard to previous Murata-made filler. Especially when the person they're mimicking is someone who explicitly told them "Don't try it".

Also, while not necessarily filler, the amounts of Blizzard of Hell borderline pinups / smut is not helping either. The original, to my recollection, was utterly devoid of such, whereas Murata's version… less so.

Poor One Punch Man. He must have been so disappointed his dream was a dream, and the real mole men were pathetic :D

I have watched the first episode. It's basically a panel for panel remake of the first few chapters... which were also some of the worst chapters of OPM with much of the characterization they put forth there having been completely ignored in the latter and quite excellent chapters. So I was kind of disappointed

Well, what the fuck were you expecting? Just drop straight into the Sea King arc or something?

So, not sure if anyone else caught this right at the start, because I definitely didn't...

Great little continuity nod.

Something like that. There's just not much point in any of those stories but the Crab dude because the characterization is mostly ignored once the various arcs kick off. Hey there supporting cast in asap because it's OPM's interaction with them that makes the manga so great.
