I wouldn't be too surprised if it's a scientifically minded Slave that found the lab, since most Saiyans probably would have just blasted the place. Maybe even Bulma if she's alive.

Why not include the face modification part? Just in case we do run into an elite.

How much time?

And it doesn't have to be a lot, just changing the shape a little, maybe messing with the nose, would be enough to make us look like a totally different person.

Ideally it would be someone like Bulma hoping to utilize the lab against the Saiyans and even better if we can gain their trust enough they modify us to use the device.

Well, it needs to look naturally, and there is also the fact that it needs to proportioned to the rest of your face, and anything really extensive is also going to have to be mapped to your skull so you don't go all uncanny valley. It's going to take 1-2 days, depending on how well the job gets done.

Frankly, Gero would consider it a waste of time, since the number of Saiyans who have seen you directly and lived are probably less than the digits of one hand, and Bardock is not currently in the city, as far as he knows.

What about a mask? We can make realistic ones pretty fast in RL.

Highly unlikely on that front. I doubt Dr. Gero would bother lying to us about the device, and if he says that us and Thirteen are incompatible with it, I sincerely doubt that someone who is working off the scraps of Gero's research could modify us enough to make it work.

Indeed, the device is a unique blend of technological and biological, the same path which, if things had turned out differently, might have eventually led to Cell. Now, while this device is much less complex, it works by not only modifying its own internal structure, but also changing the body into which it is deployed. This is achieved by the use of a specialized self-repair system which is able to rapidly (For a given value of ''rapidly'') alter the body as per the device's instructions.

Ultimately, Gero hoped to create the perfect fighter, a highly adaptive android who would never be weak to the same thing twice. He failed, as the device cannot change nearly enough for that, and even with an optimum body, you probably won't see massive changes. Mostly, you'd see it rewiring the internal structure of the android in order to improve their pre-existing abilities.

Simply put, you have neither such an advanced self-repair system, nor a body designed to handle changes like that. Trying to use the device yourself would be actively harmful. You'd basically need to do a total rebuild, and also dump your current core, since the device also serves as the ''brain'' of the android in question.

Gero is not set up to provide a mask of that level of realism. He makes androids, not costumes. You can probably get him to throw together something, but he'll probably be annoyed, and it may take a few hours.

Anyone voting face, I heavily encourage you to switch to masks. It will take 1-2 days to do the face, and Gero doesn't think it is worth the risk, especially since we only have a week
