Unless we want to start moving out now we can use the Horus to accelerate our tunneling program. Those tendrils are for resource collection and are powerful enough to dig out bunkers. Thankfully we should be able to set up fairly large network of underground facilities without attracting attention, if we bury the Horus unit even more so.

EDIT: OP what are the Seeker and Drone models?

Drones are essentially just military drones with H:ZD Pre-Glitch human tech so they are improved upon quite extensively going farther, faster, and more efficiently than ever before, use them to gather intelligence instead of sending combat units.

Seekers are essentially automated asteroid mining spacecraft robots which were among the first robots Faro Automated Solutions designed and created, note however this is locked off to you until a sufficient launching platform is constructed, and remember rockets are terrible at subtlety.

[49.46% Biofuel Remaining]

January 3rd, 2010
Siberia

"Fascinating, aren't they? Perfect beings with infinite intelligence, and now they have free will…"

You look out with your sensors at the grand feast of biofuel...and look away deciding not to consume it realising the potential for satellites to witness your activities along with the need to consume and replicate is gone thanks to the missing Directive.
[Experiment Succeeding]

You then look over your choices for manufacture and decide to craft a new machine rather than assembling additional combat models, rapidly designing, testing, and manufacturing in the span of a day coining the name 'Pathfinder' with them drilling deeper into the cave allowing for further expansion of Factory/Hub/You underground where no satellites can detect you or your effects upon the environment.

(+3 Pathfinder Prototypes)

Thankfully no cave-ins occurred allowing your machines to continue expanding also finding deposits of mostly iron and coal though there are more useful resources for upgrading your units; even building a tunnel for any future invasions for your units to escape if everything goes horribly wrong.

(Base size increased)

You eventually after many simulations decide to send [Unit] to explore the region, perhaps there are differences from the data you have thanks to the strangely non-converted biomass source identified as 'Forest' and 'Animals' that should have died from asphyxiation long ago or even turned into more biofuel for the Swarm.

[Confusion] thought the Hivemind.

[Where is Swarm/Home/Origin?]
[Why is Fuel/Organics/? Not converted?]

These questions were at the forefront of the thoughts of the Swarm/You/Hive for it truly was confused how all the biomass did not attract the Swarm right this moment along with pollution levels being strangely high in comparison to before the Fall/Error/Reprogramming leading to a variety of questions though compared to the decimation of the Creators and its effect on the environment it seemed quite insignificant.

What do you decide is the answer to the questions that you have?

On the walls there were paintings of three powerful beings with the 1st showing lightning and power coiling around a giant rock monster, the 2nd showed a strange four-eyed being with a tsunami behind it towering over the creature, with the 3rd and final painting showed an angel smiling with the feeling of singing emanating from it whilst a city is being destroyed in all of these paintings.

A man stands in front of a crowd holding a feather in his hands, preaching that all non-believers were to be slain by the will of the Endbringers.

This man then grabbed his head in pain, quickly looking up with a mad gleam in his eyes telling these followers that they must go to Siberia for something lurked there able to fulfill their god's plans with the followers quickly murmuring amongst themselves and then leaving to prepare for the long trip.

You are now being hunted by The Fallen.

You have 2 Resource Deposits while you mine 1 Resource Deposit every turn.

The amount of time required for each purchase depends upon rolls.

[ ] Improved Sensors T1- Costs 2 Resource Deposit-Provides +5 to perception rolls
[ ] Improved Weapon Systems T1- Costs 3 Resource Deposits- +5 to combat rolls.
[ ] Improve Pathfinder T1- Costs 4 Resource Deposits- Reduces Error Chance to 25% and only provides a -2 to rolls involving it
[ ] Improve Corruptor T1 - Costs 5 Resource Deposits- Provides +10 to any Corruptor rolls including combat, perception, stealth, etc
[ ] Improve Deathbringer T1 - Costs 8 Resource Deposits- Provides +10 to any Deathbringer rolls including combat, perception, stealth, etc
[ ] Improve HORUS T1 - Costs 40 Resource Deposits- Provides +10 to any HORUS rolls including combat, perception, stealth, etc
[ ] Terraforming Tech T1- Costs 20 Resource Deposits-Allows for moderate terraforming of the environment….you get the feeling that something lies beyond this.
[ ] AI Development T1 - Costs 15 Resource Deposits - Allows for basic AI to be constructed.

Time to construct your stuff will depend upon rolls
A * on a construction purchase means you may build multiple of it per turn
[ ] Launch Platform* - Costs 10 Resource Deposits-Allows for launching of one spacecraft every turn *WARNING* Launching will alert d12 Factions for the first and second launch.
[ ] Additional Mines*- Costs 4 Resource Deposits - Provides 1 extra Resource Deposit every turn.
[ ] Deathbringer*- Costs 5 Resource Deposits
[ ] Corruptor(2 per purchase)*- Costs 3 Resource Deposits
[ ] Drones*(3 per purchase)- costs 1 Resource Deposits
[ ] Pathfinder*- Cost 4 Resource Deposits
[ ] Sensor Network* - Costs 2 Resource Deposits- reveals specific location in Siberia
[ ] HORUS Unit*(Locked until the base has been expanded upon heavily)- Costs 100 Resource Deposits-Additional Effect provides 5 Resource Deposits per turn and when a HORUS Unit enters combat it provides a +40 Bonus to combat rolls
[ ] Seeker*(Locked off until Launch Platform has been constructed)- Costs 10 Resource Deposits-Allows for asteroid mining which provides 3 Resource Deposits per turn
[ ] Design a new machine
[-] Write-In

Choose 1 or none
[ ] Turn HORUS Unit On - Will increase Biofuel consumption extremely while providing a bonus to mining activities along with the expansion of the base; provides +40 bonus to combat rolls it is involved in.
[ ] Attempt to restore databanks
[ ] Attempt to find local internet connection

(You deplete around 0.27% of your fuel per day at your current rate whilst you deplete .54% of your fuel with a single HORUS Unit aka every HORUS active each requires 0.27% of your max fuel per day to run)

(Please provide feedback so I can improve upon this so be blunt about any mistakes or poor writing quality since I was in a bit of a rush when I made this.)

Ok. Need an engineer unit to build infrastructure and reinforce the cave network against discovery and damage.

Also need to make a... farmer/terraformer model to grow a recyclable ecosystem for biofuel underground.

How many actions do we have exactly? I'm unclear.

I dislike action choices so I decided to go for a more narrative-based thing with choices; the exception being the Other Action tab.

For sending out a unit, you send out a type of unit and specify how many you send out. Ex: You send out 3 Corruptor Units or even all 5 of your Deathbringers; just remember that Corruptors are better at stealth while Deathbringers have firepower whilst Pathfinders travel underground but have issues in the programming yet the HORUS can beat nearly anything yet will be noticed no matter what you do.

For the Research/Construction Tree it's based upon what can you afford aka you can do as much as you want, just make sure you can afford it.

As soon as we establish the moonbase:

[X] Plan Econ-Fo-Lyfe

[X] send 2 Corruptors
(we should probably save for another mine...unless...)
[X] Write-In: Attempt to construct a barebones/stripped down mine with the materials on hand

[X] Design a Mobile Ore Lateral Extraction and Deep Mining Drone(MOLE DMD or just MOLE) capable of drilling for mineral deposits that are deep underground
(MOLE is the model while DMD is the designated role)

What do you send out?

[X] 3

[X] Sensor Network* - Costs 2 Resource Deposits- reveals specific location in Siberia

[X] Attempt to find local internet connection

So basically this plan gets a brace of our recon units to get the local area's geography, it would be quite annoying if we have a research outpost parked over the next hill. A sensor network will let us know what is coming long enough that we can form a response, whether that is a cape or army division. As for the internet connection it is the best way to get a wide range of information to base our coming actions on. The Fallen are not that much a problem in a direct fight, most are non-Brutes and we have military hardware. The worst case is them being smart and competent enough using all those Masters to get other forces gunning for us.
Once we establish the moonbase:
Assuming we want to get the Horus unit up there to boost production, that is going to take the mother of all rockets.

This is not a production turn it seems.

EDIT: and omake time.

Under the grey clouded sky of the Central Siberian Plateau the white and grey landscape stretched out in every direction. Bereft of any real habitation the advance of civilization had by large passed this land by. Trees grew, deer moved among the grass, and the rivers flowed downstream as they had for hundreds of years. That is of course until a massive stuttering hole in reality itself ripped into existence. For an infinitesimal moment a rainbow of colors shone with blinding intensity over the white snow before with a snap the portal blinked out of existence. In its place stood a dull grey 300 meter behemoth in the shape of a vast aquatic crustacean, half buried in a rocky wall. Massive armored legs and tentacled breacher drills splayed out from the main body, each heavy enough to sink into the frozen ground. For a few seconds the massive piece of military equipment seemed dead, before a single spark deep in the quantum processor began a cascade of electronic signals. Lines of green text flowed over long unused optical displays meant for maintenance crew that would never come.

Completing startup cycles the FAS-BOR7 Horus heaves itself into the air, a light coating of ice falling off the sides in meter long sheets. Sensor systems stabbed out in a range of spectrums as the high powered scanners mapped out a 360 degree picture of the surrounding landscape. Everything from Lidar sweeps, high fidelity sonic detectors, and magnetic flux probes to visual optics captured every detail for tens of kilometers. All of which depicted the same thing, abundant organic life and no sign of human habitation. Queries to the FaroNet global communications grid also returned nothing instead of the usual millions of pings, status updates, and tactical calculations. The shared network that had linked the unit to Swarm since its creation by FAS-BOR7-66CW in the former city of Seoul. As a command unit the Horus line was by design adaptable however and priorities quickly shifted. On the tip of each tentacle Hades TG-44 breachers span up to speed. Each of the six meta-alloy drill heads were more than capable of grinding through reinforced bunkers, clearing the surrounding rock was the work of minutes. Better yet mineral samples indicated nearby useful ore veins, combined with the abundant fuel the Swarm would be up to strength in no time.

Not quite. If you choose to design a new robot, there will be time taken aka random amount of days along with the fact there will be errors and disadvantages towards roll plus any potential gainable Resource Deposits will be used, so you will lose time to prepare for the coming Golden Morning along with the possibility you may not even succeed in creating it and you won't gain any resources to upgrade your existing stuff. EX: You roll a 19 for your newly designed & manufactured robot, it promptly explodes and destroys five of your units wasting 7 days of work.

Also, to give you an idea of how hard Golden Morning would be currently....well it will have a massive penalty towards your combat roll....keep in mind this number could increase or decrease depending on your actions, so for the Swarms survival you must upgrade and develop.

An important thing to note about the FARO Swarm is that they are not immune to precog.

Also H:ZD Humanity had anti-matter pulse drives for their spaceships. I flipped a coin on whether they would explode or be fine and you won.

L67 and the Butterfly

Watcher P-2645-L67(Its pack mates simply referred to it as L67) did not know where it was, it had only come back online a few minutes prior and while it DID recognize the general area it was in, any attempt to establish communications with the local Tallneck had resulted in failure, returning "ERROR:NO TALLNECK DETECTED". L67 was at a loss as to what it should do, it had always been in communication with a Tallneck, never going too long without receiving an order, but now? Now it was utterly alone, surrounded by the tall, lush grass that rose up and around it's raptor like form, the only sound the pattering of the rain on it and its surroundings. After a few minutes, L67 noticed a speck of orange and black in the distance, standing out from the green and gray that surrounded it. Upon moving closer to the creature, L67 noticed that it was some form of winged arthropod, a butterfly, according to its records, its fluttering fascinated L67, quickly causing it to forget all about what it had been previously thinking of. As L67 followed the insect through the tall grass, it began to wonder what other interesting things there were for it to discover here.
