[X] - Empire of Revan. Yes, it might be the best option. In such a case, Revan's power would represent the bad side of the conflict, while the True Sith would be their rivals in the Dark Side.
[X] - A small fleet returned to the famous galaxy, pursued on the heels of a new threat - the Empire of the True Sith. Revan and the Exile failed to destroy the True Sith threat, but were able to return to known space to warn of the threat. After a long absence, Revan stood at the head of his Empire, revered as a living deity who should lead the Sith against their eternal enemy and the weak Republic, leading them to Eternal Glory, and the Exile became his ally. (Unlocked as the Sith Empire is a Priest)
[X] - Heretics. This variation implies that the True Sith are descended from the Lettow Legions, which existed shortly after the formation of the Republic, separated from galactic civilization twenty thousand years ago. They dedicated themselves to the true goal of the Sith - freedom, including freedom from dogma and limitation, studying a wide variety of traditions of power. To them, ordinary and fallen Jedi are nothing more than dogmatic fanatics of both sides. This does not negate the fact that they themselves sometimes disturb those secrets of the Force that the human mind is not able to cognize.

LucasArts Attitude: 5 (-2)
I decided to introduce a new parameter that reflects the willingness of the studio to cooperate with you. If you roll less than 25 on 2d50 dice, or if the result on one of the dice is equal to one, you lose one relationship point. If the result is higher than 75, or equal to 50, on the contrary, you will receive an automatic increase. Results under 25 and over 75 are affected by modifiers that you may have seen in the results.

First of all, the creators of Star Wars were rather indifferent to the fact that we decided to make Revan the playable faction. They are not against this fact, but they consider it too logical to pay attention to it. Revan is an interesting and powerful character who has had a major impact on this world. Unlike other solutions, which have been severely criticized.
First, our decision to use Revan and the Exile from the beginning. This is not the best solution in the long run, as it prevents us from creating a long storyline. Secondly, our idea of creating a Sith empire, similar to that of Naga Sadow, opposes Revan's personality. During his time as a Sith, he did many evil things, but one detail should not be forgotten - he was certainly a calculating person. He does not have empty vanity, he is not a slave to the dark side of the Force and he has never been characterized by empty anger, like his disciple Malak. Moreover, while ruling the Sith empire, he never declared himself emperor, and during the war he tried not to destroy the Republic, but to conquer it, since he wanted to take leadership over a strong power.
And in the end, we were asked a completely reasonable question - for what purpose should he become a living deity on the throne of his own empire? Not just becoming an emperor, but declaring himself an incarnate messiah, which is completely contrary to his character?
Choose one option:
[] - Revan began to manipulate the population. After all, religion, like all other social institutions, has a purpose. In the case of faith, it is to provide comfort to sentient beings and resolve existential problems. It is much easier to keep track of the fighting spirit while you believe that you are fighting for the messiah who will build a new galaxy.
[] - This religion is nothing more than a cost that was necessary to preserve his empire. He knew perfectly well that Bastila alone would not be able to hold onto the empire during his absence. The myth of the messiah, which he promised to return soon, allowed his power to hold out until his return.
[] - This is more of a diplomatic move. The Sith have always had myths about the coming of their messiah, and many of these myths were preserved by the heirs of Exar Kun, who are still scattered throughout the galaxy. Again, this is pure calculation, focused not so much on the Sith militarists as on the various cults of the Dark Side.
[] - As an option, at the moment we can leave this fact undisclosed. You can't show the players all the options at once, can you?

Another issue that has been questioned by our partners is the highly controversial depiction of the True Sith, which, in our interpretation, at some time reveals future Star Wars production. But everything should be told in order.
The Empire of Revan was chosen by us as a playable side in this conflict, so they certainly must be less evil than the True Sith. But the problem we face is that the desire of the True Sith to freely explore the Force makes them more of a Gray Jedi in their essence than followers of the Dark Side of the Force. Lettow Legions find themselves closer to the original vision of the order, rather than the Naga Sadow empire.
Of course, there is also a logical outcome from this situation. The question now lies rather in the very nature of the knowledge they received. Namely - isn't it too dangerous in itself? Isn't it dangerous not just to use such techniques, but just knowing about them? And here we are not just talking about Rakata, who have colossal power in the dark side, which turned out to be too great for them. They are rather Architects, the most ancient beings in our Galaxy, whose knowledge goes beyond the understanding of any mortal. Their original intentions were certainly noble. But the Sith, insane even by other Sith standards, pose a threat to both the calculating Revan and the idealistic Republic.
The problem is the fact that LucasArts didn't like it, that to some extent it reveals their plans for the Architects, and especially for Abeloth, exactly the very entity that best suits this kind of madness. Moreover, they are just writing books of the Fate series, where Abeloth will be present.

In the meantime, we need to consider an issue related to the course of the backstory of this setting. The introductory one is clear to us. Revan's rise to power was halted by his departure from known space, thereby preventing him from establishing power in the galaxy. This created a fairly stable balance, which is the result of the lack of strength or motivation on both sides to destroy this balance. Time plays frankly on the Republic, since Revan's empire was based solely on it. Bastila Shan could hold the largest of the shards of her domain, but she could not replace it. And after her death, the remnants of Revan's empire will fall apart. All the Republic needed to regain its leading position in the galaxy was simply to live up to that moment, which wasn't all that difficult.
And here there are two factors that lead to a change in the dynamics in this system. First, the return of Revan and the Exile, leading primarily to morale among the fallen Jedi. However, very soon another event occurs - the invasion of the True Sith. Could those who were separated from galactic civilization and science be so strong? Oh no, if you had opened their Republic a century ago, they would have easily destroyed them. But after sixty bloody years of virtually endless conflict and fragmentation, no one had the strength to stop them.
And now we are in a question related to the state of the Galaxy at a given moment in time. Of course, we have an unstable balance of three powers with many lesser powers, for example, the Hutts, Mandalorians or the kingdom of Onderon. But in what specific format? Is there a war of all against all, a shaky peace has been established, or have the two sides united against the third? The direction of the entire storyline of this game depends on this.
Choose one option:
[] - Fragile world. The galaxy at the time of launch is in a state of a kind of cold war after all sides have lost the opportunity for battles and are recovering before the next big conflict. The storylines of the game will initially tell about spy games, border clashes and the struggle for neutral worlds, turning into open conflicts for destruction.
[] - Great Galactic War. The confrontation between the three sides is in full swing, sending the player to the hot spots of the Galaxy with a gradual increase in the severity of the conflict and the use of more and more devastating weapons. This is a three-way conflict without the unification of two sides against the third, to some extent the most stable system of all the proposed ones, since the intensity of hostility will not allow the two sides to unite against the third.
[] - True War. This option provides for the form of an informal truce between the Revan Empire and the Galactic Republic, the goal of which is simultaneously not so much to destroy the True Sith as to contain their onslaught, since both sides understand that separately neither of them will win the war alone. What's next? Continuing the war with the Sith until there are two powers left? Or the establishment of a balance between the three sides and the transition to the second option?

However, we must not forget that the Revan Empire is only one of the two sides in this conflict. And this is another problem for us. After all, Power has Revan's most charismatic characters on its side, while the Republic is literally rotting alive like the one in the prequel movies. Of course, Palpatine's ascension was accomplished through his power in the dark side of the Force. But it is worth recognizing that such a process with a revolution from above was one of two natural outcomes of the situation in which the Galactic Republic found itself. And therefore, it is not surprising that Palpatine's Empire has its supporters, while the Republic turned out to be so unpleasant that no one really cares about it. There is no reason for the players to side with her.
And that's what we need the Jedi for. Paladins from the world of Star Wars, defenders of peace and justice, they must be the side that will defend the ideals around which the Republic was formed more than twenty thousand years ago. After all, many people enjoy playing as at least relatively positive characters.
However, before that, we need to decide in what form they will be embodied. We have one introduction, which is the starting point for this story - the Jedi were practically exterminated as a result of the purge of the Jedi, as well as the war with Revan. It is unlikely that they will restore the power of their order in some twenty years. But it is also impossible to forget about them as a force.
Choose one option:
[] - Scattered enclaves. The Jedi Order, at least formally at the moment, simply does not exist. But individual masters survived the massacre and, together with their students, founded enclaves on various worlds that protect the world, and sometimes practically rule these planets.
[] - Guardians of the Republic. Of course, the Jedi Order suffered heavy losses in the past centuries, and therefore they were forced to make changes in their own structure, in fact, went to merge with the army of the Republic. Each soldier of the Republic is tested for potential in the Force, and if available, trained to use it as a weapon.
[] - Underground. The Jedi Order still does not officially exist. They do not openly rule the worlds, but hide underground, supporting the opposition in the Senate. Namely, those who support the active militarization of the Republic and a significant increase in taxes in order to create a powerful fleet. The Jedi themselves turned into a small number of schemers, such as Darth Sidious.
