There were a number of things about the scenario Nui had just gone through that she thought worrying, not the least that the creature that somehow managed to survive everything she could throw at it was killed in a single shot of the the odd girl's weapon. That the given weapon was larger than the girl herself was also rather odd, but Nui wasn't going to hold something that insignificant against her.
Under normal circumstances Nui wouldn't hesitate to use the girl's name, happy to create some small bit of general discomfort or worry in the woman before her. But given the rather discomforting display of power this 'Mami' had shown, Nui wasn't quite comfortable using this individual as a source of amusement.
A shame really, she was kind of cute.
So, self preservation actually being a priority for once, Nui simply waved at the girl with a cheery grin upon her face.
"Hello Miss, thanks for taking care of that creature, don't think I could've taken it out by myself."
Nui had always been good with masks, and if she had to wear one around this woman, she wouldn't complain.
All around you the world seems to shimmer back to normality, which was very welcomed as the twisted mockery of design that creature had created was enough to drive even an novice designer to murderous rage. Still you do spy a strange object on the ground where the creature died but the new girl scooped it up before you could get a better look.
"Yes the first fight against a witch is always a lot harder than you expect," the blonde girl says turning to you with a smile "Still you did well for a new magical girl...Oh! Where are my manners, I'm Mami." the newly identified Mami's smile seemed to grow just a bit more brighter as she extended her hand in greeting.
For a moment, Sion felt like a metaphorical rabbit before a hungry wolf. The moment passed, as did the involuntary shiver. Perhaps she should run a health check later.
Hm... That was somewhat inconvenient. Well, Sion supposed she should report to the Supervisor's daughters at the very least. She didn't want to be accused of being an unregistered magus operating in someone else's territory. Hopefully, they could help her get in touch with Atlas. "If you could direct me to the Supervisor's church later that would be appreciated. For now, I'd like to look at those supplies available for purchase."
Now, how much money did Sion have on her? Somehow she didn't think Momo would take credit.
"Right I'll show you the storeroom and you can pick out what you want while I find you a map." Momo said as she began to push a broken grandfather clock to the side revealing a rather well hidden door, behind which was a small room literally filled with boxes and jars of magical reagents both low and high quality. "Although you will have to wait for my big sister, she knows how much these things are worth much better than me.
As Momo was saying all of this you check to see exactly how much money you actually had, which thankfully was quite a lot as you found a woad of money in your pocket that all together was worth about 1000 Dollars.
Chaika walked slowly but steadily through the dark forest, listening for the telltale mutters and growls of fayla on the prowl, or anything else that might stalk this place. Her boots crunched on the pat as she adjusted her coffin and held Flowey tighter. She'd take him just a little bit farther and find a nice patch of ground with a bit more of a view of the sky. It wouldn't do for her new friend to be cold and lonely under all these looming trees.
The princess shivered a little and continued on, seeking the ideal spot for the little plant in eerie silence.
As luck would have it you find what can only be described as the perfect spot, which was only further reinforced by Flowey's frantic pointing at the spot while saying "There, there plant me right there!!"
It was a small almost unassuming patch of dirt in a clearing that most would consider a moderately decent picnic spot, however to any magic user worth their salt it was much more. Not only was it a convergence point for 3 rather powerful leylines, it also was the literal heart of this small forest and was enriched by pure moonlight which further increased it's magical properties.
Well things just got more hostile.
Callie acknowledged the change in Rin's stance cautiously, though she tried to hide. She gripped the strap of her duffle bag swung over her shoulder. Did she say anything to cause this change of mood? Was Rin simply hostile because she learned that Callie was a foreigner and that the Humans had a "shoot on sight" policy like the Octarians had? Or was Rin simply a unfresh bigot?
Whatever the case, Callie might as well be honest, she had a feeling that Rin would know if she was lying anyways.
"Welllll, I come from the city known as Inkopolis, a nice place. The sun is always out, beautiful sights, towering buildings, a center for the latest trends, home to the greatest works of art, and the scent of competition and victory always fills the air..." Callie then realized she was getting sidetracked, she also felt a bit homesick. "Uhm, sorry. As for where it is, I can't say for I am kinda....completely....lost."
With a sigh Rin seems to make a decision, a decision which resulted in her leaping over the counter, grabbing you by the wrist, turning a sign on the front door from open to closed before dragging you outside and towards what looked like a road into the city suburbs.
As you were walking Rin began to speak "Okay from the top, what are you?"
Ah... They're not fighting any more... Well, off to something el-oh yeah!
I stop myself after I flew only a little bit away, turn myself around, and get closer to them. Right! The samurai girl!
...I don't like being loud. Gonna get e~even closer so they can hear me.
"Hey, hey, Samurai Girl, you know any other samurai girls? I'm supposed to make friends with one who looks like..."
Huh. Come to think of it... I give the other girl a close look.
"She actually looks a lot like you. Hey, do you have a katana?"
The Samurai girl merely smiled at you "I'm sorry Mew but I do not, if you'd like you could come with me and we could ask my mother. She is rather skilled at finding people."
*Sniff* *Sniff*
That smelled so good. Souji could feel her stomach protesting at the idea of walking past the stand.
"Excuse me? This is a shop, correct?" She spoke up, stopping by the bench before the stand. No matter how much the world changed, and indeed, it had changed greatly, the idea of selling food seemed to have remained constant. "You sell food, correct?"
Behind the counter stood an unusual looking man, mostly because his hair made it look like he was on fire despite how obviously ridiculous that is.
"Why yes we do, here at Grillbys we have some of the best meat in the city. I'd also offer you some water but I don't touch the stuff."
Butch nodded urgently and ran for the book.
After picking up the black book, he abruptly sprinted toward the girl in the white outfit. Like hell she was in any condition to fight after that. Swiftly throwing her over his shoulder, Butch DeLoria, Leader of the Tunnel Snakes, coolly retreated from the battlefield.
"Hey, the name's Butch. And we're getting the hell outta here!" Butch said to the girl over his shoulder as he started running away.
As you ran the girl mumbles something, it was hard to make out but the words "Thank..you" could be heard. But that doesn't really matter as you begin to get some distance between yourself and the fight going on behind you.
Which was exactly the moment when your world exploded into agonizing pain as a metal ball comes flying from the distant melee to nail you in the right leg and sending you stumbling to the ground. Worse of all it would seem that the blow had been enough to snap your leg like a twig as jagged shards to bone stuck out of your skin weeping blood.
