When did Yammy kill our friend in canon? Was it when his arm was fixed, cause then I don't see how the shroud will save her when she was the nurse and we wouldn't be there in the first place.

[X]The Shedding Cloak. Infused with reiatsu, the cloak reflexively expands that energy outwards when another form of spiritual energy strikes it. This allows it to act as "ablative armor" against an energy attack, fraying its own fabric to reduce their damage. The cloak taps into your own reiryoku to reweave itself over the course of a few hours.

[X]The Cook's Shroud. A great cape which preserves anything that is fully wrapped in it, preventing from deteriorating or decaying. A great asset to a butcher wanting to preserve his food - or to a healer wanting to keep a dying person alive until they get to the operating table. Has very little use as a worn outfit, however, although if you wrapped yourself in it you could pass for dead.

@Omicron, will we get our old cloak back if we turn our Gillian material into a scarf? Can we come back later with our Gillian curtains for more stuff?

Yammy basically backhands her to death to test his repaired arm. People are assuming that we will notice her energy go out, like Ichigo did with Chad in Soul society and go find her. Then we would use the shroud to pause things for her before she dies completely and get medical help.

Of course they also have a plan to sneak the body to Orihime which means she doesn't really need to be alive for us to save her.

The original cloak was destroyed by the Butcher King's Cero, so that's a no. As for the rest of your curtains... You'll see.

Well, the only time I can remember Yammy killing another Arrancar is episode 127 or chapter 229, the victim being the nurse who reattached his arm.
The nurse who just so happens to look exactly like Esmerelda.

Did he turn all of the cloth into actual drapes and bed-sheets and stuff?

I mean, sentient Gillian-cloth is morally worse than baby seal leather, but apparently it's extra comfy, and you know how we get about our loot...

[X]The Butcher's Gullet. An overcoat made out of subtly-layered clothes, its capacity is on par with the full robe of a Menos Grande. Though the fabric looks smooth, it's enough to pinch it to reveal seemingly endless pockets in which items disappear without a trace - although their size is limited by that of the opening.

I want there to be a scene where we just keep pulling stuff out of our coat and people are like "WTF how where is all this stuff fitting in there?"

He crushed her entire head in one blow. There's no way we can save her by that point.

Wait, since when could Orihime bring people back to life?

Even if we don't manage to save Esmeralda, the Cook's Shroud makes us a very valuable med-evac specialist. Especially since we are probably going to pick some stealth traits in the future and are liable to have a high leveled Sonido going by current trends. This gives us some very interesting options to save characters that were doomed in canon. Starrk and Gin come to mind should we be in a position to accompany Aizens striketeam to Fake Karakura and the same goes for Ulquiorra, Nnoitra and all of the Privaron Espada if we stay in Las Noches.

We just need to be in the right place at the right time, and we will get a chance to take them to a medic. I quite like the potential butterflies we could let fly with this cloak.

And if we can limit deaths during the Winter War we will have more and more interesting interaction options after that arc is over.

Fear me, for I am the Mighty Moth! :V
yes that is an awesome line as well glad I thought of it
people keep forgetting the "feel like dead" part. as in, they cant feel us.
The thing is it doesn't turn invisible so it would suck to hide in it since it would stick out rather noticeably then there's the question of how we would ferry so many injured or dead some of which I don't think leave bodies it would be a pain because I think it only can carry one correct me if wrong.
