Possibly hostile. They could also be the military contacts Mr. Burns sent for.

True that could be a possible explanation for the aggressive thinking, I would rather be in a situation that we can be more proactive though

Research the Soothing Tree (Psionic)- 8 people (assuming all mind this is highly likely to finish this turn)
Try to reach out to the first Ship. - 4 people (need 2 or 3 more on this)


Any Mind trees that have not voted yet we could use 2 or 3 more on communicating with the ship. Soothing tree does not need additional mind trees as we have 16d6 to get 6 success.

Mind tree has bonuses to communications and research, not defenses such as shields (that's what heart trees do). We need more on communicating with the ship, could you switch your action to that?

we could really use more root trees on growing collector trees, they make it easier to grow literally any other thing easier in the future.

if i could get a few more root trees to help me with growing a second sharding tree then that would be cool. Otherwise i think we should have reach out to the humans or researching the soothing tree as one of our three focuses. I think two on collection trees and one on communicating/research is a fine balance, but i feel like all in on the collector trees is a bit overkill at the moment

You would need 8 more root trees to even have a 50% chance of getting it done this turn, the soothing tree already has an 95% chance of getting researched just through individual actions, and Collector trees now will continue to pay dividends later, making it easier to grow many kinds of things. We are currently getting 2 collector trees this turn, taking away one of the three focus actions would mean we'd have no chance of getting 3 this turn,so it would be really swell if I could get 4 or 5 more root trees to help me out so we could get 3 this turn, which would allow us to do more stuff next turn and every turn in the future.

we will be better able to grow a second sharding tree in the future if we grow 3 more collector trees now
 
scrooge mcduck wants his collector trees and he wants them NOW damnit lols.

I mean if we get enough collector trees we can actually basically get one free tree for every focus action with enough auto successes. that would be pretty good.
