Growth focus actions get +6 successes
Non Growth get +3 successes

It is better for us to use Focus on growth only actions right now and for individuals to use their actions on research and defense and communication

@Raising Kittens if we pick more than one grow actions with focus which do the collector trees apply to? Also did we gain 2 total thanks to the player trees along with the focus actions?

Edit- we had 12 from focus and 9 from players so we should have 21 meaning +2 collector with 1 success left over

Collector Trees apply to all Growth-oriented Focus Actions.

12 from focus, 7 from players. The 9/10 listed next to the action includes the results of the Focus action. So that's 1 tree, 9/10 to the next, and +5 to growth actions rather than +6.

@Raising Kittens are the 9/10 successes on that second collector tree carried over or lost? sorry to bother you.

Greater, more powerful tests of the Forest's shielding should yield useful results.
Mind tree's should really consider contacting the first ship, look's like they want to stress test our shield's and I prefer not being constantly shot at thank you.

Right so some math-
We get X Focus actions that gives X successes each where X is the magnitude of the forest, currently 3.

To raise the magnitude of the forest to 4 we need 200 successes. It thus makes sense to only raise the magnitude when we get more of an increase than growing more collector trees.

3*(3+Ctrees+20)<4*(Ctrees+4)
Solving for Ctrees gives us Ctrees of 53. That means once we hit 53 collector trees we get quicker growth from upping magnitude, before that we get quicker growth from more collector trees.


Why does this matter? Look at research most research actions are all about unlocking new tree types which tend to give +1 success if an action is taken at least once, to get those trees we need to grow them. The more collector trees we have the quicker we can turn and use a focus action to do something like grow the worm or grow more shield trees.

Basically thanks to collector trees our focus actions are most efficient for growing more collector trees and than later growing the forest and specialist trees as needed. Any research or other such tasks are best done by using our [Action]

More storing for the Tree Gods! However, I do agree with adding more collectors, more energy to store! But in all honesty, I believe shield team should be fine, and so I'm just prepping for whatever may come. Yes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure but you still need to have the resources for either of those lest you simply wait for what may come. I'm willing to move to a different play if need be however!

If we focus on growing collector trees this turn and get heavy root involvement(at least 9, hopefully more), then we will get 3 new collector trees, which would reach the next magnitute 12 focus actions earlier, so for at least this turn, there is no need to grow the forest with focus actions.

Is it just the first 3 trees I can pick from to be or can I wait and pick out one of the later trees being developed?
If I can do I need to pick a tree b4 I am allowed to vote for actions?
