Well, one thing I can say right off the bat is that my personal take on it is that Makai's a pretty big place, so there's lots of different regions and environments to be found. Hokkai, Vina, Pandæmonium, etc. As for the rest, hopefully once we get to Sariel's introduction, some things may come into a bit better focus.
