Negima - Tales of the White Wing (Negima Rewrite)

Meetings - Part 7
So hey, turns out I'm a dirty dirty liar. You have my apologies, because I honestly don't have a good stupid excuse for my lateness, so instead you get a bad smart one. Real life happened and I'm stuck looking for a job, but also because I had most of this written out until I got to the end bits, then stopped and started staring like a truck hit me. It was dumb. Anyways, here's the last bit.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the group walked back to the classroom, Asuna took the chance to speak to the three. "So, why exactly are you three here? And what exactly do mages do, anyways?" She asked.

"Hah… Well, I'm here for training." Negi said sheepishly. "To learn how to become a great mage, you see. They've secretly assisted many great people in this world with their powers, and I want to do the same!"

"Except without the secret part, apparently." Anya jabbed as Negi made an 'urk' noise.

"Well, I was planning on telling everyone anyways…?" Negi said, only to wither under the force of Anya's glare.

"And what happens when the secret gets blown?" Asuna questioned.

"W-well…" Nekane started. "In the best case scenario, we would be sent home to Wales and our magic would be sealed."

"And in the worst, it'd be all of the above, plus getting turned into ermines!" Anya practically snarled. "And it's because my best friend just keeps his thoughts to himself too much instead of trusting us! What were you planning on doing when people found out, anyway!? Fighting all of them!?"

"If that's what it took to protect everyone, then yes." Negi stated as they walked up to the classroom.

Anya's blush was, needless to say, luminescent. "...Stupid! Watch the things you say!"

"Heheheheh… Oh, We're here!" Negi said.

Asuna then opened the door, streamers flying into the groups faces. "Welcome! Mr. Springfield!" As they said that, Kazumi grabbed Negi's hand and ushered him to his seat.

"C'mon, the guests of honor sit in the middle!" She said as Ayaka brought over Nekane and Anya.

"Haaahh… Thank you all very much!" Negi said, taking his drink. Off to the side, Asuna and Konoka were chatting.

"Soooo, What were you up to~?" Konoka sang out.

"Oh y'know, stuff…!" Asuna said, trying to dodge the subject. As they talked, Fuka and Fumika Narutaki burst into the room, something fuzzy and white in Fumika's arms.

"Hey, Hey! Look at what we found! Isn't it adorable!?" Fuka said, incredibly excited about their find as Fumika held the animal out, where it then proceeded to scamper onto Negi's table.

"Ah! Chamo!" Negi said in joy, even as Nekane held her face in her hands and Ayna began to convulse in nothing less than pure rage.

"Uwaah…! Is it your pet, Mr. Springfield?" Fumika asked as quite a few people began to crowd around the table.

"Ah! Yes, Chamo is a very close friend of mine. We've known each other since I was four, in fact!" Negi answered proudly, even as the cheerleaders began to examine him.

"What is it, some kind of mouse?" Sakurako asked, tilting her head as Chamo stared cutely at her.

"No, he's actually an ermine." Negi stated, looking intently at Chamo, who winked back at him before Konoka began to stroke his cheek.

"Still, no matter what he actually is, he's cute!" Konoka cheerfully said as Chamo began to purr in delight.

The moment was ruined, however, when Chamo opened his mouth.

"Aw yeah, that's the spot..." He said, a content expression on his face as the rest of the class looked on in shock.

"Ah! He talked!" Konoka said simply, withdrawing her hand. "Wait..." In an instant, Setsuna was upon them, twin blades drawn.

"Milady! Please, get back!" She said, only for Negi to block her with his staff. "What?"

"Sorry, not happening...!" Negi grunted, his reinforcement spell allowing him to push Setsuna to the back of the room, only for Konoka to suddenly smack Negi off to the side.

"NO SETCCHAN, I'LL KILL IT MYSELF." Konoka said, a visible aura of flame surrounding her as she cracked her knuckles.

"meep." Chamo stuttered, only for salvation to come in the form of Asuna dousing Konoka with a bucket of water.

"Okay, that's enough of that." She said before turning to Negi, who had pulled himself out of the blackboard. "So is this what you meant by telling everyone about magic?"

"Aheheh… Well, I wanted to get it all out of the way at once..." Negi said, rubbing the back of his head.

"And you thought that having CHAMO help you was a GOOD IDEA!?" Anya practically shrieked, grabbing him by the neck and beginning to throttle him.

"Regret, regret!" Negi choked out.

"Anya, please stop." Nekane pleaded, her face still held in her hands. It was possible that she had cried a little.

"Wait, then…" Haruna Saotome started, the gears in her head turning towards nefarious purposes.

"Magic's real!?" About half of the class exclaimed in shock.

"Hehehe… Yes?" Negi said, prying himself free of Anya's death grip. It was then that he and the rest of the class noticed several people were absolutely not surprised by this.

"Yeah, I already knew." Mana admitted, not faking surprise at all, even as she tried to hide a pistol behind her back. "That'll be 50 yen, by the way." As she said this, she held out her other hand, much to everyone else's frustration.

"As did I." Setsuna said, sheathing her blades.

"I knew as well." Kaede said, not too subtly putting away several kunai.

"Yeaaaahhh... I figured it out when I saw those three kill some kind of demon by the World Tree." Chisame admitted.

"Wait, how did you know that!?" Kazumi asked, desperately writing everything down on her notepad.

"Sorry, that's my business, not yours." Chisame shot back.

"Oooh, oooh! Was it because you were filming for your cosplay blog!?" Makie eagerly asked as Chisame made a strangled noise from the back of her throat.

"Well, that explains that." Zazie said blandly. "Not like it wasn't obvious anyways."

"Wait, the thing about magic or the thing about Chisame's cosplay blog?" Haruna asked.

"Yes."

"I-Is there anyone else who already knew!?" Ayaka exclaimed, outraged.

"Well, if we're being honest..." Satsuki said, continuing to pass out food.

Ayaka joined Nekane in the 'holding our hands to our faces club'.

"I also knew." Satomi said, not even bothering to look up from her laptop. "Chao told myself and the rest of the science club when we and Evangeline were making Chachamaru."

"Ehhh!? Chachamaru's a robot!?" Makie exclaimed in surprise, only to receive blank stares in response.

"Makie, that one was so obvious that everyone else knew it. Except you." Yue blandly said, taking a long draw from her juice.

Makie let out a soft 'auuuuu' as she joined Ayaka and Nekane.

"What about you, Asuna?" Misa asked, turning to her friend.

"Who do you think figured it out to begin with, Misa!?" Asuna shot back.

"Heheh… Okay, fair point." Misa admitted, rubbing the back of her head as she remembered earlier. "What about Konoka?"

"I've known ever since I was a child. My parents and grandparents hold my eternal enmity for trying to keep it from me." She said, an aura of palpable fury around her.

"Ooh! Ooh! Us next!" Fuuka chirped holding her and her sisters hands to the air.

"Ehh!? Fuuka, we shouldn't…!" Fumika said, struggling to get some personal space.

"It's fine, you can tell them." Kaede said, nodding in approval.

"WAHOO!" Fuuka cheered, raising her other hand to the air. "We knew cause we're apprentice Ninja's and Kaede's our super awesome teacher!"

"Although, I'm kinda glad we haven't gone on any demon hunts yet..." Fumika whispered to herself.

"Oh yeah, Misora knows too." Mana offhandedly stated, causing the class to turn and see Misora trying to sneak off, a bag of chips in hand. "That'll be 200 yen, please." Once more, the money was handed to her as Misora was dragged back over.

"Uuuuugggggghhhhhh…! Cocone and Sister Shakti are going to be soooo pissed…!" Misora wailed to herself.

"Maybe they wouldn't be pissed if she grew a spine..." Asuna whispered to Konoka, who could only giggle in response.

"Heh… Well, if we're all coming out and saying it, I kinda knew too." Yuna sheepishly said.

"Ehh? You knew too, Yuna!? Why didn't you tell us?" Sakurako said.

"...I'll tell you guys later, okay? Let's just say people who aren't supposed to be in the know have a tendency to disappear." Yuna said, her expression distant.

"Dark." Haruna stated, before turning to Nodoka and wrapping her arm around her shoulder. "C'mon Honya, you didn't seem surprised! Mind tellin' us why?"

"Eeepp!" Nodoka cried, the sudden contact surprising her as she blushed, remembering Negi's arm wrapped around her. "W-well… It's… It's because M-Mr. Springfield s-saved m-me earlier today…!" She admitted, her blush practically luminescent.

"Uwaaah...!" Haruna exclaimed, proud of her friend. "Putting the moves on teach already? I knew you had it in you, Nodoka!"

"N-no, that's not…!"

#WHAP!#

"Oww… Yueeeee, what was that for!?" Haruna asked her third friend, who held a second, slightly smoking book in her left hand, even as she continued to read her first.

"You know not to tease Nodoka." Yue said, deadpan.

"But she's so teasable!" Haruna protested.

"Can we just get on with things!?" Ayaka asked, her head still in her hands.

"R-right..." Negi said, he and everyone else startled by Ayaka's sudden outburst. "Anyways, I promise I'll look after everyone here, alright?"

"Right!" The excitable half of the class cheered.

However, even as the party went on, Chao Lingshen merely watched, a small smile on her face...

1st Tale - Meetings (Complete)
Finally finished! Boy, that took a bit. Anyways, here's the compiled version of Chapter 1. As a side note, I'm going to hold off on the next update until Chapter 2 is completely finished this time, for obvious reasons. Also, I'm thinking of starting a Jumpchain too, just so I can keep my skills up to snuff while I'm hashing out the next chapter.
/ 1st Tale: Meetings \

"Uwaaah..." Ten-year old Negi Springfield gasped to himself as he looked around the Mahora campus. "What a big place…! I'm really teaching here!?"

He continued to look around in amazement, even as people walked, ran, skated, and many other things, past him, Negi stopping in puzzlement at the tank that drove through a crowded intersection.

#BEEP-BEEP!#

"Huh?" Negi said, looking down at his watch.

7:55, said the watch in bright black letters.

"Uh! O-Oh no! I-I… I need to get to class!" Negi began stammering as looked at the campus map.

"Uwaah!? I-I went the opposite way!?" He cried out, looking around and finding a street tram just about to leave in the direction of the middle school campus.

Dashing forwards, he just barely managed to get on at the last second, several girls looking at him curiously.

"Ehh? What's a little kid doing on here?" She asked, her friend shaking her head.

"It's fine, it's fine. There shouldn't be any problems having one more person on, right?"

"He is pretty cute in a little brother smother kind of way..." One girl mused.

"L-little brother smother?" Negi gulped, thinking to himself as he tried to catch his breath.

Unfortunately, right as the tram neared its destination, dust from under the seat flew into Negi's face.

He sneezed.

Needless to say, desperate screaming and flailing ensued.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Asuna Kagurazaka quickly ran to class, her best friend Konaka Konoe doing her best to catch up to her.

"Sheesh! Stupid alarm, waking us up late! And why the heck does the principal's daughter need to come meet the new teacher!? It's just silly!" Asuna groused, her feet leaving a large dust trail behind her.

"Heehee… Well, you know my grandpa..." Konaka said, rubbing the back of her head. She thought about teasing Asuna, but she, in their rush, had sadly left her fortune telling book back at the dorm.

As they ran past the tram, they saw quite a few older students around, gossiping about…

"Ehh? Hurricanes in the tram? What'll they come up with next?" She said, her eyes focused straight ahead.

"Eheheheh… who knows…?" A new voice said, causing the two to turn their heads as they saw a young boy keeping pace with them on…

(IMAGE GOES HERE)

"Eh? A kid? On a staff!?" Asuna said as she looked at the young boy running alongside them. "What the heck-!?"

"Shoot! That's right!" The boy exclaimed, quickly stowing his staff on his backpack and landing into a run.

"Hey, no! What was that just now!?" Asuna exclaimed as the three of them came to a stop in front of the building. "And for that matter, what's a kid like you doing here? The elementary school's that way!" As she said this, she pointed to the west.

"Now now, Asuna..." Konoka said, holding her hands up to placate her friend. "Still, those are some good questions…"

"Good questions indeed!" A familiar voice said as the three looked up.

"Muh-Mr. Takamichi!" Asuna croaked out in shock, a luminescent blush on her face.

"Good morning Mr. Takamichi!" Konoka cheerfully waved.

"Ah! Takahata! It's good to see you again!" The young boy said as he waved.

"Heh… Welcome to Mahora Academy…! It's good to see you again Negi… Or should I say, 'Mr. Springfield'?" Takahata Takamichi said, giving a two fingered salute to the three of them.

"M-Mr. Springfield…?" Konoka gasped, her hand held in front of her mouth.

"Y-You two know each other!?" Asuna said, pointing at him, her twintails flailing about as the bells in her hair jingled madly.

"Ah… Yes, I will be teaching english at this school starting today," The boy said as he bowed. "My name is Negi Springfield, it's my pleasure to meet you."

Asuna gawked at him him before grabbing his shoulders. "H-Hang on! A kid like you teaching english!? That's too crazy, even for here!"

Takahata jumped down from the window, landing perfectly on his feet. "It's fine, It's fine!" He said, stepping between the two of them. "He's pretty smart after all, I should know! We graduated Oxford together!"

"Wh- For real!?" Asuna and Konoka both gaped.

"Of course, let me show you a picture..." Takahata said, reaching for his wallet.

"There we go!" He said as Asuna and Konoka leaned in to get a better look while Negi embarrassedly rubbed the back of his head.

Little did they know that someone else was watching them very intently…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thankfully, they were able to reach the office without (much) incident, where the dean greeted them.

"I see..." He said, stroking his beard in thought. "So your training was to come to Japan as a teacher? They've given you quite the task..."

"Y-yes... "Negi said sheepishly. "It's nice to meet you."

"Hmm… Yes, I think this will work out nicely, but first you need some practical experience. Let's give you… a probationary period of now to March."

"Haa..." Negi gasped, letting out the breath he didn't even know he was holding.

"By the way…" Dean Konoemon Konoe said, opening one of his eyes slightly. "Do you have a girlfriend yet?"

"E-eh…?" Negi gasped, a blush on his face. "N-no, wh-why?"

"Well, what do you think of my granddaughter, then? She's only fourteen, and she's quite-" Whatever else the dean had to say was silenced as Konoka beaned him across the head with one of the floor lamps.

"Be quiet, grandpa…!" Konoka said darkly, as an aura of pure malice surrounded her.

"Wh-what have I gotten myself into…?" Negi thought, fear plainly evident on his face.

"Damnit Konoka..." Asuna facepalmed, muttering under her breath as she did so.

"Ugh… Negi… This job well no doubt be very difficult as you can see." Konoemon said, reaching into his desk and pulling out a box labeled 'In case of Konoka temper tantrum'. He opened the box and pulled out some of the bandages inside before working on fixing his face. "If it's too hard for you, you will have to return home. There are no second chances. Are you prepared for that?"

Negi gulped. "Y-Yes! I'm ready, so please, let me try!"

"Well, that settles that. I think I'll have you start today. Let me introduce you to our student guidance counselor, Mrs. Takamichi. Mrs. Takamichi, would you please come in?" At hearing the name, Asuna began growl wildly and gnash her teeth together.

Right as Negi turned to the door, wondering when his friend had gotten married, a beautiful blonde with amazingly long hair walked in and... promptly and deliberately shoved Negi's face between her breasts.

"Oh my!" She said, feigning ignorance of her actions, even as Asuna began to mutter under her breath. "Sorry about that."

"Little brother smother! Little brother smother!" Negi internally panicked, recalling one of the girls from the trams earlier words.

"Ah yes, there she is." Konoemon said, chuckling to himself. "If there's anything you don't understand, please talk to her."

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Mrs. Takamichi said with a wink.

"O-Ok!" Negi croaked, hurriedly extracting himself from her breasts.

"Oh, and one more thing… Konoka, Asuna, would it be alright if Mr. Springfield stayed in your room for now? We haven't decided where else to put him yet."

As Konoka began to vibrate with barely disguised madness yet again, Asuna snapped out of her trance and put her hands on both her and Negi's shoulders.

"Y'knowwhatthatsfinesorrybutweneedtogotoclass, bye!" Asuna shouted, dashing out of the room with the two in tow.

"Heh… Ah, the wonders of youth..." Konoemon sighed, thinking of days long past. "Shizuna, be sure to help him out when you can, alright?"

Shizuna Takamichi nodded. "Of course, sir. I'll be sure to… educate them..." She said while licking her lips, stepping out of the office as she did so.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the four walked through the hallways to their classroom, Asuna took the chance to discreetly look at her new teacher.

"Something's definitely off about him, but… why am I having trouble thinking of what?" She thought, her head beginning to throb. "Seriously, it's on the tip of my tongue, but I just… Can't remember. It's like there's a fog in my head..."

"-na!" A voice called out to her, even as she stopped walking.

"I mean, Konoka and I both saw it, right!? A kid flying on some kind of staff? It's like something out of a children's novel about wizards! Wait…!"

"-suna!!" The voice said, much more insistently.

"Oh, allow me." A second voice said as Asuna felt something warm and soft envelop her head. Or rather… two somethings.

"Ugh! Uwaah! M-Mrs. Takamichi, stop that! Get off!" Asuna said, desperately trying to extract her head from Mrs. Takamichi's breasts.

Konoka sighed. "C'mon Asuna, we're here!~" She chirped happily, pulling her friend from the white abyss and back into reality. She then turned to Negi. "Mr. Springfield, we're going in, okay?"

"A-Alright. I'll be in in a bit." He replied back.

"How are you feeling, Mr. Springfield?" Mrs. Takamichi asked him.

"I'm..." Negi started, gulping and taking a peek through the window. It was, needless to say, complete chaos. He gulped. "I'm a little nervous, but I'll give it everything I've got."

Shizuna smiled. "That's good! Oh, before I forget..." She passed him the folder underneath her arm, which he gladly accepted. "Here's the class register."

He opened it, briefly perusing its contents. "Th-Thirty-one students!? Th-that's more than either of my graduating classes!" He then noticed a note from Takahata at the bottom. "Oh, that's good, maybe he has some advice!"

Godspeed, Negi
Takahata Takamichi

Negi made a pitiful whining sound from the back of his throat, even as Mrs. Takamichi giggled to herself.

"Do try to memorize everyone's names and faces quickly now." She said, covering her mouth.

"Oh god, can I really do it!? I… I… Big sis! Anya! Heeeellllppppp!"

He looked around, trying to find a possible exit. He found none.

"Do your best Negi!" He thought, his sister's voice coming back to him.

"You can't space out now!" He heard Anya say to him.

Nodding resolutely, he tightened his tie and strode into class, unwavering.

Meanwhile, behind a nearby corner…

"Whew! Do you think he noticed us, Nekane?" Anya asked, catching her breath.

"Mmm… I think we're in the clear, Anya!" Nekane replied back as the two brofisted.

"Oh? And what would you two be doing here?~" An unfamiliar voice asked them as the two turned and faced Shizuna, her eyes shadowed and whips of water circling around her.

"Bystanders shouldn't interfere, don't you think?" She asked them, a single red eye appearing on her face.

"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!" The two screamed, clutching each other in mortal terror.

Yup, just a normal day in Mahora.

Let's check back in with Negi, shall we?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Did anyone else hear screaming just now?" Chisame Hasegawa asked, her head perched atop her hand as she watch the rest of the class flail about in response to their new teacher, 'Mr. Springfield's' 'Cuteness'.

"Aru! Yes, much scary! Sound like wailing of damned!" Ku Fei agreed, scared out of her wits.

"Considering I saw the Smiling Monster outside, it probably was." Yue Ayase stated, taking a sip from her juice.

It was then that Asuna walked over and roughly pulled Negi from Haruna and the others grip. "Hey, you! You aren't normal, are you!?" She said.

"E-Eh!? I-I don't comprehend…?" Negi protested, only for Asuna to start shaking him.

"Yes, you do! That thing with the eraser… Outside with that staff… Admit it! You're some kind of wizard, aren't you!?" Asuna shot back, shaking him all the while.

A sudden slam interrupted them, however, causing Asuna to drop Negi.

"Cut that out this instant!" Ayaka Yukihiro demanded, walking over to the two. "Although… I suppose that pose is fitting of a violent monkey like you."

"What did you say…!?" Asuna ground out.

"Mr. Springfield, I've heard of you! A famed child genius who graduated from Oxford at the tender age of 7! Truly, teaching has nothing to do with age… So please, continue with homeroom."

"Ah..." Negi said, blushing. "Thank you."

"Oh?" Asuna sneered. "What's with the 'nice girl' act, prez?"

"Hmhm… It's only natural that I'd look like a nice girl on the outside, since I'm a nice girl on the inside, too!" Ayaka said, brushing her bangs out of her eyes.

"Oh, is that true...?" Asuna said mockingly, her hand to her mouth. Then, she suddenly leaned in. "You shotacon."

Needless to say, this caused Ayaka to completely flip her shit. "Wha- How dare you! Stop these scandalous accusations this instant!" She screeched, grabbing ahold of Asuna's dress shirt. "Besides! You shouldn't be talking with your old man fetish!"

"Why you-!" Asuna retaliated, grabbing ahold of Ayaka's lapels.
"What are you thinking, pining after a married man!?"

"
Don't you dare say anymore! You-"

"
Oh man," Negi thought to himself, looking at the two of them and steeling himself as wind began to spiral around him, much to the shock of several of the girls. "This has gotten entirely out of hand! I need to-"

A sudden clap interrupted them as Mrs. Takamichi interrupted them, looking
entirely too satisfied with herself. "Alright now, It's time for class girls!" She said cheerfully as Asuna and Ayaka stopped pulling on each other, frozen in fear.

"-Do nothing, I guess." Negi thought, letting out the breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Th-Thank you, Mrs. Takamichi."

"It was no problem, Negi~. You can take it from here, right?" She asked him.

"Y-Yeah, I think I'll be fine."

It was then that Mrs. Takamichi playfully bopped herself on the head. "Oh~! Silly me, I nearly forgot~! We have two surprise transfer students from Wales, just like Mr. Springfield~! Come on in you two~!"

It was then that the
last two people that Negi expected to show up walked in.

(IMAGE GOES HERE)

"A-Anya! Big sis!?" Negi exclaimed, his shock apparent on his face.

"Eeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhh!?" The rest of the class squealed in shock.

"H-hey Negi..." Anya said, embarrassed, even as Nekane, now aged down to fourteen, let out a soft "Auuuuuuuuuuuu..."

"Wha- But- If you're here, then-" Negi stammered, the gears in his head beginning to turn. He then proceeded to hold his head in his hands. "We'll get started in a minute, I suppose." He said, his voice muffled.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thankfully after that, class proceeded
relatively smoothly, barring a minor hiccup where Negi, once more unable to remember the fact that magic was to be kept secret, began hovering in place to reach the top of the blackboard, even as Anya and Nekane internally screamed.

"I swear, Negi, you're completely hopeless!" Anya chastised him as the three walked around Mahora.. "Do you
wanna get turned into an ermine or something!?"

"I agree, Negi. You really need to be more careful." Nekane said, in full agreement with the ten-year old beside her.

"Hehe… Sorry you two..." Negi said, embarrassedly rubbing the back of his head. "I'll try to be more careful from now on. By the way,
how did you two follow me here anyways?"

Nekane sighed. "Anya kicked the headmaster in the crotch before dragging me to the plane so we could hide in the cargo bay."

"Wait," Negi started, his finger raised. "I saw you at the plane though, how were you already in the cargo bay?"

"Cardboard cutouts and an unhealthy obsession with mixing fire magic with everything." Nekane sighed, holding a hand to her head.

They stopped to sit at a nearby fountain, merely content to watch the passerby, although Negi did take out the class register to more carefully familiarize himself with his students.

"Also, Nekane… Wh-Why are you so young now?" Negi asked, curious yet afraid at the same time.

"That demon..." Nekane shuddered in unison with Anya. "She-she tied us down with her magic and f-forced me to take an entire bottle of age down pills! Th-then, she stripped us down and put us in these uniforms!"

"Ah." Was all Negi could say, surprised that something like that was allowed to take place. (It wasn't.) "How long will it last?"

"I-I'm not sure. I-It could be a month or even a year, she said. Sh-she even seemed hopeful about that!"

"Hmm?" Anya grunted, nudging Negi's shoulder as she pointed at the nearby steps, spying a young girl carrying quite a few more books than she should be. "Hey, isn't that…?"

"Seat number twenty-seven… Nodoka Miyazaki…?" Negi asked, looking at the register once more, just to be sure.

Then, misjudging her next step, she fell, screaming as her books scattered everywhere.

"Ah!" Negi exclaimed, pulling out his staff as the wrappings on it dispersed, before a cushion of wind sprung forth to catch the girl.

"Negi, wait!" Nekane shouted, but it was too late, as the young teacher had already sprung into motion, dashing forward to catch Nodoka, who was in awe of the fact that she had been suspended a foot from the ground.

"Oomph!" Negi grunted as he caught Nodoka and the two of them hit the ground.

"M-Mr. Springfield…? Y-You saved me...?" Nodoka said, still in shock.

Negi nodded. "Y-Yeah. I can't just leave someone in danger like that." It was then that he heard someone clear their throat behind them. Negi and Nodoka turned.

"So, hey. Good to see you finally showed your secret, Mr. Wizard!" Asuna declared, a bag of groceries in hand.

"Hehe… S-So you figured it out?" Negi said sheepishly. Asuna responded by cackling madly and grabbing Negi in a bridal-style carry before rushing off.

"N-Negi! Bring him back here this instant you
dummy!" Nekane shouted as she and Anya rushed off after them, leaving Nodoka behind with nothing but her scattered books and thoughts.

"M-Magic..." She stammered, looking at her trembling hand. She remembered the feeling of joyful weightlessness she had felt. How strong her teacher's arms were. "Magic is… real?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Asuna stopped in a clearing, dropping Negi to the ground as she did so. "Alright! Step 1 of my master plan is complete!" Then, leaning in, she spoke to him. "Listen, I need you to do me a favor, teach."

"A-A favor?" Negi asked back, confused.

"Yeah, I need you to-" Asuna started before she was interrupted. By what you ask?

Anya's foot hitting her in the face, of course!

"Give Negi back you titty monster!" Anya cried out, jumping off of Asuna's face as Nekane came up behind her, huffing as she did so.

"W-Wait… Anya…! Can't… Can't we just talk this out…?" She said, simultaneously wondering when she had gotten so out of shape.

Asuna of course, sprung up and swept Anya's legs out from underneath her before pinning her to the ground with her body. "Hah! Got you!" She cheered, blood running down her face.

"Anya!" Nakane screamed, before turning to Negi. "Negi! We need to wipe her memory, now!"

"No! I won't let you, Nekane!" Negi said, suddenly brandishing his staff in her direction, much to Nekane's shock.

"N-Negi…!?" Nekane stammered, shocked that he would turn on her.

"Oi! Negi, what are you doing!?" Anya shouted at him.

"I'm sorry, sis, Anya..." Negi said, his eyes shadowed and his voice completely level. "But I
REFUSE to alter a person's mind in any way, shape OR form!"

It was then that Asuna began laughing uproariously. "Heh…! Hahahahahaha!"

"Ms. Kagurazaka! Wh-what's wrong!?" Negi exclaimed, concerned for his student.

"Hahahaha! Nothing!" She said, holding her hands to her face and crying. "Nothing but the fact that it was pointless to ask you to begin with!"

Anya shoved Asuna off of her, the crying girl falling to the ground. "Oh yeah!? What was so 'pointless' that you needed to kidnap Negi to begin with!?"

"It… It was my last chance…!" Asuna bawled, her back to the ground. "It was my last chance to get Takahata to love me!"

"Takahata?" Negi asked, kneeling next to Asuna as Anya and Nekane looked at them. "But… why would you need him to love you so badly that you'd ask me to try and brainwash him?"

"Because… because…!" Asuna sobbed. "He's… he's the only person I could remember when I came here! Because no matter what I do, my thoughts always come spiraling back to him! Because I see him and Shizuna happy together, and I can't do anything but cry because it's not me there instead!"

"Then I'll help you!" Negi said to her, determined. "I'll help you get your memories back, so that way you won't obsess over him to the point of hurting yourself like this!"

Asuna sniffled. "You… You will?" She asked, her eyes lighting up with hope.

"Yes. It's a promise." Negi said, nodding.

"Ah! That cut on your head, let me heal it!" Nekane said, walking up as light washed from her hands over Asuna's cut as Anya looked away, moderately embarrassed with herself.

It was then that Asuna remembered something very important. "Ah! The party!" She exclaimed, jolting up as she grabbed her groceries and dashed off. "C'mon, we need to go!"

"Eh!? P-Party!? But why!?" Negi said, he, Anya and Nekane all following after her.

"You'll see!" Asuna shot back, the bells in her hair jingling as she dashed off.

Little did they know that Shizuna had been watching them from behind a nearby tree, a smile on her face. "I'm glad that she's finally moving on, Taka." She said to her husband, who took a drag from his cigarette. "Mou~, Taka!" She whined, putting the cigarette out with her fingers.

"Heh… Sorry, Shizuna. I'm glad for her too. But still… Negi's one to talk. I'm worried about him as well. Chasing blindly after his dad's legend like that..."

Shizuna leaned on him. "But that's why we're here, isn't it?" She said.

"Yeah." Takahata nodded, closing his eyes as his wife kissed him. "It is."

"And you thought that having
CHAMO help you was a GOOD IDEA!?" Anya practically shrieked, grabbing him by the neck and beginning to throttle him.

"Sorry, that's
my business, not yours." Chisame shot back.

"Makie, that one was so obvious that
everyone else knew it.

/ Chao's Corner! \

Heh, well diary, looks like I've stumbled into quite the pickle this time around. This timeline is completely different from any other I've encountered so far. For starters, the situation in the magical world is much more… tense than it was before. The Megalosembrian Senate appears to be making far more overt moves now, although I haven't managed to pin down why yet. On the Mahora side of things the changes keep piling up more and more! For starters, Konoka Konoe appears to be the same as before, but she seems to have gained quite the explosive temper! Takamichi and Shizuna are married, against all prior expectations as well. I wonder if it has something to do with the great war that Nagi & Ala Rubra fought in? Conflicting things further is the fact that Anya's arrived early, on top of Negi's cousin being here too! Lastly, my ancestor, Negi, appears to be far more open than before, although I can't shake the feeling that something's... wrong… about him. I suppose I'll have to look into it later.

Ah! I have to go! Satsuki's calling me! Bye-bye!

I should point out that Zazie almost 'never' talks, to the point where, when she does, it's a major OMG situation, and induces shock in most of her classmates.

I know. That's another I change I made, actually inspired by EvaUnit01's quest. So now she's brown demon Jotaro Kujo.

So hey everyone! Just chiming in here to let everybody know that I am currently in the process of rewriting the Prologue and Chapter 1 of the story just because I wasn't really satisfied with them looking back. Just thought I'd let everyone know about that.
