As a note: Mith has Grima bits, and is still very young (by virtue of not really doing any growth while recovering). So he is definitely larger than his siblings in dragonform. I don't think he'll ever hit full continent, or if he does it will be at like... the absolute end of the fic.

Huh. Wait, hold on, I'm getting flashbacks for some reason.
Weird.

"Age and time work funny for us."

On that note, would they even celebrate birthdays? With their immortality/agelessness, why would one year matter significantly from the next? What kind of culture arose around such people? What differences in their culture exist between their own and humanity's?

Flayn gave a despairing look to her two older uncles.

Flayn is awesome and I'd love to see her relationship with Mith explored a bit. I mean, I would love to see them interact as a family. Flayn always seemed a little... lonely. You know? I imagine that with a cousin/brother approximately her mental and emotional age, she would be a little livelier. And their species/race/family is so few in number that I think that Flayn and Mith would develop a more sibling-esque bond (as opposed to a more distant, extended family one) by sheer number of interactions.

edit: Mith the size of a continent. Yes. Please make that happen. Dorothea's paling at his... size right now? My sweet summer child. The boy's got some growing to do... and there's arguably nothing more secure (and security is something that she deeply treasures) than the firepower of an ageless dragon the size of a landmass!

Another great chapter. Watching the three lords and the others talking together and making plans was amazing, I think Thales has no idea what's going to hit him. I do wonder how much longer they can keep working around Rhea though.

Solon getting punched out for looking the wrong way was great.

I really do hope they bring Flayn into this more, she does have the other brain cell in that family, though her and Mith going 'formal names' at each other was delightful. She's great when she's going that 'old and young at the same time' thing.

I think that the birthday thing came into vogue after Zanado, honestly. Less a 'you're older' and more 'Thank Mom You're Still Here'. Will I touch on this? Who knows?

Yes, Grima-Mith is the 'Moar Dakka' that every young man/woman wants in their life

As for Flayn...

Rhea's getting dragged in soon, before the end of this arc. She won't take an active role in planning - that's what Apen and Seteth are for - but if another fight breaks out in the monastery, expect Sky Dragon shenanigans.

More fics need Solon-punching, in this I fervently believe.

I intend for Flayn to be brought in next chapter, as well as Lysithea. Lysithea's going to be playing the role of number two to Claude in this fic rather than Hilda, though she'll still factor in outside the whole 'shadow war' bit. She'll gradually be more and more involved. I also need to bring in more Manuela and Indech too, for that matter.

And I have yet to start writing the comedy of errors that is Hanneman trying to get apprenticed to Apen and getting a Goose instead. It's on the list of things, but I just haven't gotten to it unfortunately.

How mean are they going to be to the Western Church / Agarthan team that's here to try and steal Seiros's corpse (not knowing she's very alive)?

Remove the SoC from the coffin and replace with a rusty iron sword wrapped in "I prepared Explosive Runes" notes?

I haven't quite decided yet, but for scale...

A scrapped idea was having Sothis hide in the coffin then letting Mith give her Solid Time.

With the Sword.

That mean?

Wow.

Dear Holy Gremlin this will be hilarious.

If the targets weren't horribly racist muppets working for genocidal dubstepping mole men I might feel bad for them!

Well you could replace it with a cursed Devil Sword (extra cursed as in Roguelike-style curse where the weapon sticks to your hand like glue, plus an additional penalty to Luck while wielded. Remember, Devil Swords backfire based on your luck rolls!).

In TH they just cause 10 damage to the user every combat they're in. Regardless of if the user attacks.
