Nabiki, The Gamer (Ranma/The Gamer/???)

[X] The City of Vale.
[X] Wait for now and find out more of her new ability first.

I'm happy that number of GAMER fanfic/quests rise :D

[X] Nermia.
[X] Luck 5

luck is the hardest stat to raise early and we have a large number of examples for why low luck is bad (Ranma, Ryoga, the amazons, anyone who lives in this town).

[X] Night Vale (if you know the series); Chicago (if you don't know WTNV but do know The Dresden Files); Nerima (if you know neither of those).
[X] Wait for now and find out more of her new ability first.

[] Raise her stats (Pick up to 5 and add 1 to 5 points for what you pick, to a total of 5 points):
-[X] Dexterity- 2
-[X] Wisdom- 2
-[X] Luck- 1

[X] Nerima

Nabiki hummed thoughtfully, tapping a finger against her desk. Atop it sat a thick stack of yen, neatly sorted and organized under her lit lamp. It was her emergency funds that she kept locked up and hidden away in her room. Half of was already inside the Inventory screen opened up in-front of her, along with a bunch of other items she threw in randomly, all of varying weight and size that she could lift.

It all fit into her Inventory perfectly, sucked into the large screen and stored inside one of the many item boxes in it. There didn't seem to be any limit to what it could hold and the weight of what was in there didn't affect her personally. Duplicates of the same item like pens and papers were put inside the same box, a tiny number in the bottom corner kept track of how many there were. She was free to take how many she wanted by tapping it and thinking of the number. The same went for all the cash she stored.

Her Inventory was only accessible to herself and like her Status Screen seemed to be only visible to her. She tested it, opening and closing it multiple times in-front of her family during dinner, Akane and Daddy in particular. Martial artists like them had superhuman senses, capable of detecting and reacting to things she didn't even know.

And they didn't notice a thing.

Nabiki grinned wryly and threw another wad of cash into her Inventory.

This was useful, very useful.

She tested out the other things too for most of the day and continuing well into the night. Not that she was tired, but it didn't look like she needed any sleep anymore. Her body was just bizarre now. It looked the same, felt the same, but different. Strange, but… right, for lack of a better word. She couldn't describe it.

It was… weird.

Any sort of damage she'd taken was transferred over to her HP bar without any of it showing up on her body. Her sense of pain was dulled to the point where she could just feel it. Resting for half-an-hour restored her stamina to top shape, sleeping should do more. As for her mind…

"Skills," Nabiki muttered and scrolled down the new screen.

Gamer's Mind (Passive) LV MAX
Allows the User to calmly and logically think things through in a peaceful state of mind, and grants an immunity of psychological status effects.

Also useful.

She looked through the other skills there as well, passing over Gamer's Body for the rest. It wasn't much. She even had a passive skill in the Tendo Anything Goes style of Martial Arts, but it was only at level one.

Not surprising, Nabiki did practice it from time to time. Untalented as she was in martial combat it didn't hurt to know the basics and have Akane refresh her knowledge of it from time to time. There were situations were money can't solve everything… or others where she can't throw Akane at it.

"Something to keep in mind," Nabiki sighed and stuffed the rest of her cash in her inventory, dismissing it with a wave of her hand.

She opened up the status screen again, staring at the free points she had to spend. Still five, she hadn't leveled up yet despite finishing up a few minor quests from Kasumi. Those were a thing too. Quests, actual quests like in the games, from shopping of all things.

Nabiki rubbed her forehead.

Absurd, but that was the norm in Nerima.

She eyed her EXP bar, indicating how much more experience points she needs to level and how many she has in total. The amount needed was frankly high for someone at level-two. It'd take a long time at the rate she was going at if she did just minor quests like what Kasumi gave out.

Grinding… wasn't Nabiki's thing. She preferred quick and easy, a little effort for maximum reward.

Unless it's cash

She sighed again.

Of course she knew what to do level up quickly. She played more than her fair share of games to figure it out with a few seconds of thought. She would have to…

"Beat up monsters... if they exist. Or…" Nabiki pinched the bridge of her nose, "martial artists. Hah."

A fool's dream. It'd take years to catch up to any of the real martial artists in Nerima if she started practicing again. It was stupid to even try, not her style. She, unlike Akane, followed one of the basic principle of Anything Goes.

Fight dirtier, not harder.

And it served her well.

Nabiki glanced at her MP bar, wondering what she could do with it. It meant Magic Power obviously, but what could she use it for? Spells, Ki-techniques? Does it even work with Ki?

"What to do…" she pondered, clasping her hands in-front of her. A classic Gendo pose, overused… but it fit.

Tomorrow she should:

[] Go to the local library after school and search for anything useful in regards to her new ability.
[] Hit up her contacts and see if one of those weird gimmick shops has mysteriously popped up again.
[] Ask Akane for help, maybe she could help her level up. Somehow, like forming up a party and mooch off the excess exp.
[] Write-in.

Skills Gained:

Gamer's Mind (Passive) LV MAX
Allows the User to calmly and logically think things through in a peaceful state of mind, and grants an immunity of psychological status effects.

Gamer's Body (Passive) LV MAX
Grants a body that allows the User to live the real world as if it were a game.

Tendo School of Anything Goes (Passive) LV 1
A little-known, but powerful martial art style created by Grandmaster Happosai hundreds of years ago. Like it's name, the style is based on learning and adapting many different styles of martial arts, taking what works and discarding what doesn't. As such, it is not confined to a single way of thinking or philosophy when it comes to martial arts combat.

Keeping it in character... Her contacts would be the first thing she hits up.

Bizarre gimmick skill, go!

Assuming that we get the Observe skill by looking over the shop's inventory, we should be able to avoid getting some cursed item.
