I was going to say that they're all going to be weirdly placid at the start, but then I realized that there isn't really a food source for them beyond each other and the Jungle. Unless the Octotaurs, the Doublemen, and the Angels lacks hunger, they're all going to swarm on the jungle and interact with each other. There's probably quirks inherent to each of the peoples, but maybe they're all going to form the same culture? At least between the Doublemen and the Angels which are probably coming from Mythos. I don't know how the Monkeys will turn out, but they're probably going to have ideas about being the first in the jungle.
That sounds more like a machine then a living creature, so wouldn't it make more sense for March of Cogs to create something like that, though The Storyteller could potentially a mole monster after this turn to serve as a base.
I'm not sure, it kind of depends on a lot of different factors. Like, depending on the population sizes and where each group spawns they could easily end up fighting for food. If the populations aren't that big, things have a much higher chance of going well in the short term.
Ruliana hasn't left Mythos so it wouldn't be strange for her to create her people there but... there doesn't seem to be any food on Mythos. That might be a problem. If they're created on the surface, they'll probably struggle but be overall fine and might get along with the Hanumins.
The Hanumins will definitely dominate the jungle though, they're just the best suited for it really. It's hard to guess how they'll interact with The Twin's race. I predict there will be conflict just because they're so different from one another.

[X] The Twins: Create a race of sentient humanoids with two heads and four arms. Each head will have their own personality and can control a set of arms.
[X] Shang-Houzi: Try to make some mortal life in your image, plus they can live in the forest you've recently made!
-[X] I'm thinking they'd appear as monkey/ape like humans and generally similar to how Shang-Houzi looks such as the majority having a lot of hair, sharp teeth, tail, golden eyes, etc. at least for the first generation. There would probably be some variation between them like one person having different colored eyes or hair for example.
-[X] Also make sure they're sentient and smart/cunning enough so that they can make tools and survive in the wilds without you babysitting them.
-[X] As for what to call them I'm of the opinion that Apes, Humans, and Monkeys would all be valid ways to refer to the race, although some fancier words I've thought of are Wukates, Jueyuans, Hanumins, and Vanara but I'm not really attached to any of them in particular.
[X] March of Cogs: Now with some good materials is time for some upgrades, first use the iron as material and the Storyteller new creature (Minotaur Octopus) as inspiration to create new cogs, and use half then to mine more materials and the other half to start building the foundation for the March new home base.
[X] Ruliana: Try to make your own servants, two-meter-tall humans with symmetrical features, silver hair, a pale complexion, and silver eyes, then mark them all with the Symbol Of Rank.
[X] Tabula Rasa: What a coincidence that I have the chance to use my second miracle so soon after the first. Anyway, I have noticed, tragically, that I appear to be homeless. No place in the whole of the city to rest my head. Luckily, a new and refurnished temple has just opened up. A temple that one of my particular skills happens to compliment perfectly. I shall go to the Temple Of The Unforgiven, and I shall grant the Penitent Saints within the miracle of Forgiveness. Then I will move in. Maybe throw up some fairy lights for decoration. Who knows, maybe one day I will have mortal servants and worshipers who will like the place.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
Oh woe are the Twins, as they look upon their creations, aghast at those... those.... THINGS
They stared in silence at the collection of arms forming something close to a ghoulish humanoid figure, staring at the twins, they could see the glint of an ocular organ in gaps between fingers sometimes
One of their creations reached forward, tapping a Twin on the bare skin of their shoulder, finger-like tumours grew across that small patch of skin, the Twins looked at the fellow with an intense gaze and murderous aura, the creature, fearing for it's life, it reached out with the left side of it's body and tapped that patch of skin again, causing the extra fingers to shrivel up and fall off
The weird handle people wander off into the city to do their own thing, eventually meeting the Moon-Smitten and Lunar-Fanatics, enjoying the music they create, but after getting quite hungry, the Moon-Smitten manages to convince the Twins to pick up some plants from the jungle, and some dirt, then bring them back
Wanting to help their friend and their creations (Even if said creations were not to their liking) they performed the task, and so they had a garden in Mythos, the newly named Keffrin making fleshy fingers spontaneously grown on the plants brought back, the rain caused by Behemoth lake also helped water those plants
Happily the Moon-Smitten, the Twins, The L.F.s and the Keffrin joyfully went about their week, forming a bond of great friendship
The Keffrin
- Humanoid figures made of intertwined arms, in gaps between fingers one can bare witness to many eyes
- If they touch a living thing directly with the hands on their right side, finger shaped tumours will start sprouting from it, the strength of this effect varies for each Keff, but it can be trained like a skill
- If they touch a living thing directly with the hands on their left side, all deformed growths will be healed, shrived, or removed in some way, doesn't help with any ailments that stray too far from tumours, the strength of this effect varies for each Keff, but it can be trained like a skill
The Storyteller: create a race of monsters that resembles a hybrid of a Minotaur and a Blue Ringed Octopus.
And thus they were moulded, the Lunar-Fanatics and Keffrin watched with curiosity, the Moon-Smitten watched while eating finger tumours from his pocket like it was pop-corn (THAT WAS FIRST TIME HE HAD FOOD OKAY!)
It was liking watching a combination of a hundred masterpieces being made and the birth of fully grown children, weird but beautiful if you think like someone that eats old beef jerky soaked in tears and sin....
They flexed newly formed muscles, tendrils curling up till they touched the shoulder, first breaths, beastly figures with sandy hides, the Storyteller pet their creations, gently of course, so as to not risk them poisoning someone
And these beasts named themselves the Boyui, joining in on the meal, the Keffrin were trying out a new recipe where they boiled the fingers, the bowl was made from stone smoothly carved with the fingers of the Moon-Smitten, and warmed with the residual heat from the Twins rubbing their hands together at speeds none of these mortals could match
It was chewy but good enough
The Boyui
- Bull people with sand coloured hides, large and burly
- Arms are many tendrils intertwined to form hands
- Blue rings appear on their bodies when they feel violent and or threatened, some rings appear even around the horns when extra mad
- Are very poisonous, with a bite capable of injecting a ton of deadly poison into a body
Shang-Houzi: Try to make some mortal life in your image, plus they can live in the forest you've recently made!
- I'm thinking they'd appear as monkey/ape like humans and generally similar to how Shang-Houzi looks such as the majority having a lot of hair, sharp teeth, tail, golden eyes, etc. at least for the first generation. The Wukates hop across the branches and begin to dance in circles around the spots where you nap, painting images upon rocks and bark of the gods among them and painting pictures of the distant towers of Mythos, they're just pretty chill
Wukates
- Made by Shang-Houzi
- Monkey people, athletic, lots of ingenuity, enjoy fruit, not much else to say
- Most have golden eyes
March of Cogs: Now with some good materials is time for some upgrades, first use the iron as material and the Storyteller new creature (Minotaur Octopus) as inspiration to create new cogs, and use half then to mine more materials and the other half to start building the foundation for the March new home base.
You jumped back up to Mythos saw the Boyui, and realised they would probably do better at mining then the mortal version of a Gavrix, so you made the Boyui-Iron model golems, which marched forward to do their assigned duties with... I'd like to say glee but they're pretty emotionless and a mechanised hive mind so there isn't much joy in there
Anyway

Good news, the Boyui-Irons managed to mine a bunch of iron, digging into the ground with their tendrils, wrapping around the ore deposits, and pulling them out of the ground with ease
Bad news, they constructed something entirely different to what you requested, they used the iron the materials they already had to construct a Machine Of Unspeakable Horror
A TOWERING MOVING FORTRESS DESIGNED TO APPEAR AS HOSTILE AS POSSIBLE, PIPES PROTRUDING FROM IT AND CURLING RIGHT BACK IN, SPIKES CURLING AROUND EACH OTHER AS THEY POINTED AT THE SKY LIKE THEY WERE THREATENING IT, VENTING INCREDIBLY HOT STEAM FROM GRATES AND GAPS IN THE OUTER WALLS
ITS INSIDES ARE INHOSPITABLE DEATH TRAPS DESIGNED TO TEAR APART EVERY SINGLE OCCUPANT THAT DARES ENTER WITH METHODS TOO HORRIBLE TO MENTION, A METAL DUNGEON FROM WHICH NO HOPE CAN ESCAPE
Also it has a little robot arm that stabs things in the crotch every 10 seconds, it tried to stab March but the blade glanced off their divine body and the Machine rolled off to go bother whoever else is less durable
Machine Of Unspeakable Horror
- A gigantic moving fortress made of iron and various other basic materials, quite advanced
- Appears as hostile as possible, pipes protrude from it and curl right back in, spikes pop out of it and curl around each other as they point to the sky as if threatening it, steam pours out of gaps and grates across it's body
- Inside is comprised of death traps that destroy anything that enters it with methods that most would consider quite "Immoral"
- Also has a little arm that stabs the nearest available living creature in the crotch every 10 seconds

Ruliana formed these beings from her own will, and watched as they crawled, waddled, then finally walked, she looked upon them and commanded a single individual to step forward
One that was a couple inches smaller then the rest walked forward, Ruliana took their hand by the wrist and carved the Symbol Of Rank onto the back of it, the individual flinched from the stinging sensation, but after that, began to look at the now growing symbol on them with wonder, liking how shiny it was, and so they ran towards the others to convince them to get Symbols as well, which they did
Soon each one was marked, and they called themselves the Ranken, soon they explored the city of Mythos, and all the strange buildings within, and Ruliana even introduced their species to the others inhabiting the city, the Keffrin and the Boyui welcomed them with open arms, and soon the council of 3 formed from the most respected member of each species, acting as their collective leaders
(The Lunar-Fanatics didn't join in since they considered themselves more of a band then a tribe, which confused the others but they decided to just let them have that)
Buelkof of the Keffrin, who started the trend of cooking finger tumours alongside the things growing on the trees
Zorm of the Boyui, who lifted an entire building that some thieves were hiding inside, this was not normal for his species he is just freakishly strong
Tino of the Ranken, first to be marked with the Symbol Of Rank and head-worshipper of Ruliana, she also managed to beat the Moon-Smitten at rock paper scissors, or in the Smitten's terms "rock, fabric, sharp rock"
The Ranken
- Created by Ruliana
- Commonly 2 meters in height, with symmetrically perfect features, silver hair, silver eyes, and skin as pale as paper
- Most of them enjoy the Symbol Of Rank on their bodies
Council Of 3
- A tribe of 3 races who elect the most the respected among each species to be their leader, comprised of the Keffrin, Boyui, and Ranken
- Currently led by Buelkof, Zorm, and Tino
Buelkof
- A Keffrin with the fingers comprising their face wrapped around each other so tightly that the knuckles have turned red, wild eyes in the gaps between arms and hands
- Best cook among the Keffrin, has an innate talent for cuisine
- Always slightly grumpy
- Member of the council of 3
Zorm
- A Boyui with a freakishly muscular body, horns are thicker then most of his kind, and his blue rings are brighter then most
- Freakishly strong, can lift a building alone with his tendrils
- Kind but ignorant of most subjects, but is willing to accept ideas from those he thinks know better
- Member of the council of 3
Tino
- A Ranken with a slender body, hair in long zigzag strands, and a constant smile, considered short by her people but still close to 2 meters tall by others
- First among her kind to be marked with the Symbol Of Rank and head-worshipper of Ruliana
- Marked by the Symbol Of Rank as Angel Rank
- Very curious and optimistic
- Member of the council of 3

Tabula Rasa jumped back onto the city of Mythos from the back of a napping Gavrix, and explored it, looking for a place to call home, they found one of the rare places with actual purpose, the Temple Of The Unforgiven, and decided to move in
But first they touched each statue and depiction of a penitent saint, forgiving them with a Miracle, which of course did not work because whoever knew of these sins either never existed or were already dead but it's the thought that counts for this kinda thing
After that was done, Rasa rested in their new abode
Mythos
X - Temple Of The Unforgiven: Towering structure dedicated to Penitent Saints who used to be vile criminals before being sent on deadly quests to right a ton of wrongs in the world, their sentence was death no matter what they did during their quest, but each journey was designed to help them reflect on their actions before execution via petrification. Statues depict Penitent Saints crying, looking satisfied, and some just laying down dead, all with a mural depicting their worst display of sin and their greatest display of virtue. Extremely grand looking, could house a small village on each floor

Nhwereoma: With ride on hand, ascend to Mythos and look for the one that bothered you with singing. Offer to unite him with his beloved by way of transporting him with Gavrix there. Try to reduce the distance that would have delayed you from doing this in a week if the Smitten agrees. Fly across the world with Gavrix if he somehow declines, it can't all be sand, right?
Nhwereoma hopped atop the back of their mighty steed and rode to the Moon-Smitten, currently performing a roof top orchestra with the Lunar-Fanatics, the giant spoke, alerting the other species in Mythos and causing some to panic and others to prostrate
"Moon-Smitten do you wish to come along with me and visit THE MOON!?"
"Nah"
"Why do you refuse this opportunity?"
"Because I gotta get consent first before getting too close to them ya big ol silly, consent is important, ain't that right everybody!?"
The Lunar-Fanatics nodded, and a couple mortals on the ground nodded too
"So yeah, that's my decision, have a good day, I'mma get back to singing, now boys! A 1, a 2, a skoodly doodly doo!~"
They continued their music, and Nhwereoma flew off on the Gavrix to do their plan B instead, see if there was more to this world than wasteland, it couldn't all be sand, right?
~1 week later~
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH FUCKING SAND!?
There was nothing but it all over the place!
Sand here, sand there, sand everywhere, the sheer scope of how lifeless this planet was would be mind boggling to the mortals back home, Nhwereoma dug down, just sand and rock, flew up, some sand storms that ended up in the stratosphere somehow, yeah, that's fucking right, the sand made it into the sky too!
"Hi big ol silly billy! How ya doing?"
Nhwereoma slowly turned their head and saw the Moon-Smitten, standing atop the tallet tower of Mythos with their Lunar-Fanatics
Nhwereoma realised they flew around the entire planet yet still found nothing, they circled round it instead
The giant sighed and replied "Just had a long trip, you?"
"I realised something when you talked about getting closer to the Moon, they probably just didn't hear me! So I climbed up this big tower with my band and we're playing up here for the Moon to hear"
"Neato"
And so the giant listened to the Lunar Orchestra play for the rest of the day, calming their nerves to the sound of love songs for the Moon
Mythos
- The Tallest Tower: Exactly what it sounds like, reaches the stratosphere, the Moon-Smitten hangs out here
In case you missed out on creating a god, you can make one during these action sections
(All are subject to veto and rewrite if I see any problems like gods of magic, gods of time, or gods of gods, just stay away from trying to seem like the most "Special" or powerful god, I'm already allowing your characters enough strength to annihilate cities, I don't need mary sues among an actual pantheon)
Banned Aspects (Can be subject to change, and new additions could be added later on)

[] Deity Name: Obvious what this is
- [] 3 Aspects: 3 things they have power over, creatures, concepts, occupations, feelings, stuff like that, they're basically pretty good with things related to their Aspects
- [] Form: What they look like
- [] Miracle 1: An ability they have which they can do more easily then most reality warping, can be super powerful but don't make it the most strong one
- [] Miracle 2: You can have less then 3 if you don't feel like filling them all
- [] Miracle 3:
- [] Flavour Text: Optional
Now choose a single Deity, and an action they'll perform this turn
[] Shang-Houzi: Work with Nhwereoma to create some varied landscapes to hang out in, you do the plants, the giant does the rivers, lakes, and mountains if they want
[] Nhwereoma: Work with Shang-Houzi to create some varied landscapes to hang out in, you do the rivers, lakes, and mountains if you wanna, and Shang does the plants
[] The Twins: See what the Wukates are like, mess with some even
[X] Shang-Houzi: Work with Nhwereoma to create some varied landscapes to hang out in, you do the plants, the giant does the rivers, lakes, and mountains if they want.
That was really close on the Ranken creation roll. Lucky. ...Now, should Ruliana ascend Tino to the rank of Archangel or work more on the system? Hmm, I'll have to think about it.
[X] Tabula Rasa: Venture out into the dessert. Wander far and further still, 'til night is day and the stars have new names. There, distant from Mythos and all that the Gods have crafted, as far as one can be could be while still worldly bound, I shall let the absence within the desert pool. I will shape a sea of nothingness, a hollow reflection of the lake beneath the city, and the endless gray shall be its shores. May the desert never fade from its side, an eternal monument to a world that predates the birth of the Gods. Let it serve as a reminder that we were born into a world already lost, and anything preceding that moment is truly forgotten, even with our vast power.
On one hand, I want to make Moon's tower tall enough with Vastness so his song actually reach space, on the other hand, that's a repeat and I'm aggravated enough after a week of sandgazing that working with Shang to make seas sounds good. On the hidden hand,
The Keffrin
- Humanoid figures made of intertwined arms, in gaps between fingers one can bare witness to many eyes
- If they touch a living thing directly with the hands on their right side, finger shaped tumours will start sprouting from it, the strength of this effect varies for each Keff, but it can be trained like a skill

these are the most precious things and they already have alternating hand gifts complementing Nhwereoma's hand magic that I want to teach them stuff.
[X] Nhwereoma: Abduct some Keffrin that looks like they're experimenting with their tumourmancy and try to teach reconstitution and regifting (finger-edition) to them. While doing that, travel around on the Gavrix with the Keffrin in tow to work alongside Shang on landscapes. Get the Gavrix to feed the Keffrin if they go hungry.
[X] Ruliana: Update the Symbol of Rank system by having the Record of Rank work as a backup against tampering. If the Symbol of Rank is tampered with, the tattoo will reset itself rank that was previously recorded on the Record of Rank.
I thought of countering The Twin's action directly with Chaos Removal but this is just more efficient. It advances the system, makes it so people can't try and mess with the higherarchy, and should help avoid external hacking.
Ruliana: "How disappointing. My own siblings bucking the order that is so clearly needed."
Right now it's probably up to Ruliana to declare a person a higher rank. There will be an automatic way as soon as Ruliana bleeds herself out on the Heart of the Divine Womb though. But that will happen when the system is ready. Which shouldn't be too long from now I don't think.
[X] Start working in Machine Of Unspeakable Horror to turn it into a proper dungeon, reducing its lethality a bit and filling it with treasures and blueprints for technology that would help in the development of civilization.
-[X]While at it, have most of the Cogs continue mining for resources, while some of then attack the tribes, non-lethal, for now.
[X] The Storyteller: create a monster that resembles a cross between a Star-Nosed Mole and a Gila Monster. Also see if you can give it the ability to move between the waking world and the world of dreams.
Thanks for the chapter, it was a very enjoyable read. Looking forward to seeing how the next round turns out.

Thinking about it more, I could probably try and have the Record of Rank draw power from the Divine Womb instead of having Ruliana bleed out on the Heart to give it the power to ascend people... eh, abusing the Divine Womb probably isn't a good idea.
