Unfortunately the time to vote on items is over. And yes, the portal gun can be deadly if not used responsibly. However, as the description says. It's not really suitable for combat. Once the charge is complete it has to be used quickly. You can't just save it for when you're in a pinch.

Mechanics Pt. 2
Combat is going to be a significant part of this game so it's imperative that you understand how it works.

So let's say you get into a fight with an enemy. If the enemy is unimportant they will count as a group. So if you come across 10 soldiers, you won't fight 10 individual enemies, but rather 1 group. But if you come across 3 named enemies you will fight them individually.

So let's say Makoto Niijima is separated from the group and comes across a group of Brigands. First is the Attack roll. Both Makoto and the Brigands will roll a d100. Whoever gets the highest roll gets to inflict damage. They will roll again for inflicting damage and take away as much HP as the number they roll, this time a 5d20. Then combat begins again, though you may or get a chance to change tactics depending on whether or not your characters are in trouble. Combat ends when the enemy side gets their HP knocked down to 0. If a Team member HP gets knocked down to 0 then it becomes a bit more complicated. If they were healthy before, they'll just be wounded, still allowed to continue the fight at a hundred HP again but less effectively, gaining a -25 to all of their rolls. If they get knocked down to zero while wounded... bad things happen. Not necessarily death but still you'll want to avoid this whenever possible.

You might notice that under this system, a few unlucky rolls could put a character in serious danger. Fortunately, there are ways to gain bonuses. First are the Special Abilities. If they are used on when the circumstances are right, they will give a bonus up to +50 on both the attack and damage phase depending on the skill and bonuses. Next are Omakes. Whether they are canon or not, if they are made with love the author will gain a bonus which they can cash in to help any character at any time. Finally, there fighting to kill. If this bonus is voted to be applied, the character will gain a +25 on all rolls but will be forced to kill the enemy when their HP is knocked down to zero. Without the fighting to kill bonus, your team members fight to knock the enemies out but (try) not to kill them. Currently, Obi-wan is the only one who can apply the fighting to kill bonus, but you will gain other team members on your quest who are willing to kill, and desperate circumstances may allow characters who normally never fight to kill make an exception. Note that these apply in enemy damage phases too, where instead of giving a bonus, they will act as a penalty to the enemy's roll. So if a character has a +25 bonus that applies in an enemy damage phase, they will take 25 less damage than they normally.

Hmmm, Robots, Unintelligent Monsters, Advantage Taking Cute Creatures, Meat for Food, and Enemies that get under our skin. Easy kill bonus.

Humans, Other Races, Intelligent Creatures. Debatable.

Harmless People, Harmless Creatures, and Allies. Not Kill.....probably? There is a thing about betrayers.

No, I meant the damage to health Dice. If both opposing parties are rolling to hit and the one who rolled higher wins the round. What dice would you use for the next roll cause if it is the d100. Then all it would take to end a character is two crits. Or back to back high numbers. You should use something smaller like 3d6 or something to prolong the battle. Cause then it wouldn't seem like the characters are too strong nor too weak.

Update 1
Author's Note: Third update, first non-introduction update, let's go! As you can see it's still rather short. Exposition is not one of my strong suits.

When Makoto regained her bearings after interdimensional travel, she found that she was in a large grassy field with three other strangers. Two of them were Middle-aged, one white, one who at least looked Japanese. The other one was a young pink-haired girl. Makoto would be glad for this save the fact that the pink-haired girl seemed not at all confused, concerned, or scared. Was she really one of Makoto's companions?

The same voice that had talked with her previously spoke once again, but this time she had no idea where the voice came from: "The people you see before you will be your companions. Unfortunately this is all the aid and explanation I can give you, at least for now." For a few seconds after the voice spoke, Makoto and the others just stared at each other, not sure what to say or do. Predictably, perhaps the pink-haired girl broke the silence first.

"Well, darn! I was hoping our patron could give us more help! At any rate, I think at this point we should introduce ourselves. My name is Neptune! I'd like to tell you more about who I am and stuff, buttttt… I'm not too sure of that myself. It's nice to meet you all!" More silence. Eventually, the Japanese-looking man spoke.

"Sorry, but what do you mean you're not sure of who you are? Do you mean to say you have-"

"Amnesia? Yep! Sorry I can't be of more help!"

The Japanese stroked his chin in thought and then said, "Well, if it's really as you say then it is what it is."

Somewhat suddenly, the white man spoke: "There is perhaps something you could assist us with, young one. Your relaxed disposition and the familiarity with which you speak of our patron suggests that you may know the most about him or our situation. Perhaps you'd like to share your knowledge with us?"

"Sure!" said Neptune with a cheerful smile, "First off, the patron is a good guy! He may have kidnapped us, but that's only because he trusts our ability to prevent a horrible calamity. When we're done he'll send us back to our own individual universes with no time having passed from when we were taken. Anyway, it's someone else's turn to share. Who wants to go next?"

Makoto noticed that the white old man's face seemed paler than before, but he spoke calmly: "You can call me Ben. I'm simply an old wanderer."

"A wanderer, you say? Well I'm sure that the patron wouldn't have picked you if you didn't have some cool skills up your sleeve! What about you sir?" Neptune said, turning to the Japanese man, "You seem to be really strong! Are you a body-builder by any chance?"

The Japanese man seemed slightly taken aback, but kept his cool and said, "Ah…No. I'm the head of an orphanage in Okinawa. And the name's Kazuma Kiryu."

"An orphanage? That's a bit unexpected. But it's great, a giant with a heart of gold! Me and you are gonna get along just fine, Kazzy! And last for introductions…" Neptune gestured towards Makoto, who got the hint instantly.

"My name is Makoto Niijima. I'm a college student in Tokyo. It's a pleasure to meet all of you." Makoto wasn't actually sure if any of her companions were trustworthy, but it never hurt to be polite. Somehow, she had a feeling that simply going her own way wasn't a possibility.

"With introductions out of the way, I think we should plan our next move." Neptune said. After some short discussion the group decided that they would prioritize

[] Searching for Civilization
[] Getting to know and trust one another
[] Finding food and shelter from nature's bounty
[] Being on the lookout for any dangers they may face
[] Something else?

KIRYUU-CHAN!!! Haha!

[X] Searching for Civilization

Hey, listen a way cooler way would be allowing us 4 options. Since you know four people.

Is it decided by a d100?

Edit: A far more professional way. Is having each turn(As a day). Giving each of the 4 characters 4-5 actions they could do within that day. Whether it be training, doing stuff that is important, or even Socializing.

I actually intended the [] Something Else? Option as a Write-in, but I guess since I didn't label it people didn't realize that. Your other suggestions might be good to implement as well.
