Hello there everyone and I'm finally back with Chapter 6 of "Megas 00". After driving off the decimated A-Laws forces into full retreat, the Ptolemy crew are going to meet the newest Gundam Meister, Louise Halevy and also hold a conference meeting with Commander Chall Acustica. That also includes the inevitable Louise's reunion with Saji Crossroad too as well and their guests from the future.
Disclaimer: I do not own Gundam 00 and Megas XLR and their characters. They belong to their respective owners, Sunrise and Jody Schaeffer and George Krstic.
Enjoy and don't forget to review.
Rest in Peace Michael Kopsa (January 22, 1956 – October 23, 2022), the English dub voice actor of Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam 1979 show and Aeolia Schenberg from Gundam 00. He died peacefully at the age of 66.
Chapter 6
At the Conference Room of Ptolemaois 2, several hours later
While the Celestial Being tactical mothership is currently under full repair and maintenance post-Battle of Lagrange 3 that ended with the full retreat of the decimated A-Laws forces and victory for the paramilitary organization, the crew of the Ptolemy were waiting for the arrival of the Gundam Meister of GNMA-00012XLR Megas, Sayla Mass.
In its fighter form, the large Gundam-Type machine had managed to fit inside the central hangar of Ptolemy upon docking entry before the new Gundam Meister exited the chest cockpit with her Red Haro following her lead.
Although Megas brought back along with three unknown GN-X-looking machines and one female-shaped mobile suit after intercepting A-Laws reinforcements and wiped them out, surprising the Ptolemy crew members when they learn of it. And they're as big as Gundam Megas itself too as well and the three of them were revealed to be Haros piloting them.
Currently, those said mobile suits were floating next to the Celestial Being's capital ship with some Haros and Karels inspecting the damage while repairing them. While Sayla Mass had brought the unconscious redhead pilot out of her inactive machine's head cockpit and took her to the medical bay of Ptolemy 2 after getting a spare helmet to put on the latter's head.
So that the unconscious female pilot won't get exposed to lack of air in space until they're inside the ship.
On the other hand, they currently hold a conference meeting with Chall Acustica, who had revealed herself to be the Commander of Celestial Being organization as a whole, which Sumeragi Lee Noriega was listening to the bespectacled woman's explanation and sharing her information about the Gundam Megas.
It was interesting and enlightening for the former alcoholic woman to know about the 5th Gundam.
Except Mileina Vashti and Saji Crossroad who took part of leading the maintenance team of Haros and Karels to fix up the mothership of Celestial Being from its sustained damages from the battle as soon as possible. Orange Haro had recently left Lyle Dylandy the 2nd Lockon Stratos' side to take part of the repair efforts.
"I see. So that's how you obtained Megas?", the tactical forecaster of Celestial Being inquired as she viewed the recorded footage of the headless Megas that appeared out of a blue portal before crashing into one of the large asteroids.
The Ptolemy crew especially Feldt Grace and Lasse Aeon, who didn't know of the exact origins of Megas in the first place 2 years ago, were informed that the gigantic mobile suit was from the future via time portal. To them, it sounded like it's from one of those sci-fi time travel movies like Back to the Future or The Terminator.
Of course, Chall confirmed that it is true and currently she held its time device sealed away in Krung Thep.
Only Tieria Erde who knew about it after Ian told him 2 years ago.
Along with the image of the said device in its damaged state being displayed on screen as proof of her claims to the the crew, and then the appearance of the three GN-X-looking gigantic machines and their commander-themed mobile suit pilot who came from the future as confirmed by the Haro pilots.
And the footage of the recent blue portal opening that caught Krung Thep's attention where they witnessed the three future machines being attacked by the A-Laws reinforcements but were forced to retreat and head towards Lagrange 3 with their unconscious human commander where they were saved by Gundam Megas, which Chall showed it to the Ptolemy crew.
The said machines even share the similar color scheme with Megas in its pre-Celestial Being modification too as well.
It helped that the Future Haros were cooperative with their present, or past from their perspective, counterparts to confirm they really are from the future by sharing familiar valid codes that identify them to be of Celestial Being origin and they're accepted.
"Indeed. We claimed and modified it 2 years ago during the middle of Celestial Being rebuilding itself post-Operation Fallen Angels under my supervision. Using the remains of the Alvatore and one of its GN Tau Drives, we're able to transform Megas into a Gundam-Type machine thanks to Chief Engineer Ian Vashti, and Dr. Yuri Minovsky. Megas' fighter form that of the Flag was another Chief Engineer David Halevy's idea in order for it to fit inside Ptolemy's hangars better.", Chall said with a nod as more visuals of the schematics of Gundam Megas were displayed on screen.
Which also includes the live footage of several transformation test sequences of Gundam Megas into its Flag-esque form and the remains of Alvatore being salvaged of its fake solar reactors to be taken away by the personnel of Krung Thep for study and research.
Although the mention of Ian Vashti from the Celestial Being Commander made Sumeragi and the others feel sad and worried after remembering that the father of Mileina is currently recuperating at the medical bay of Ptolemy II after he was nearly killed by the huge particle beam blast from the A-Laws new model which had easily tore through the ship's GN Field like paper.
At least Ian is still alive or else he would have joined Christina Sierra, Lichtendahl Tsery, Dr. Joyce B. Moreno and Neil Dylandy the 1st Lockon Stratos in the afterlife.
David Halevy huh? I wonder if he's as good as Goliath-13 or Chief Engineer Blex Forer in Katharon. That guy is crazy with his modifications on Katharon's mobile suits and ships, GN Drive-powered or not, to try even the odds against A-Laws before Celestial Being came back after their 4 years of hiatus., Lyle Dylandy thought in wonder and interest upon hearing this explanation from Chall.
Having recently returned from his successful escorting mission to protect the Lagrange 3 personnel en route to Krung Thep, Allelujah Haptism commented with a nod upon looking at the specs on screen, "That might explain why Megas had a familiar-looking massive beam attack when I saw it on the visual while I was escorting the staff and personnel of Lagrange 3 to Krung Thep."
Yeah, that said attack almost killed us too 4 years ago and Kyrios got a hell of a blast from it! Lost the arm and leg there as a result!, Hallelujah mentally chimed in within his head.
Don't remind me about that... It scared Colonel Sergei and I when we saw its first attack. UN Ambassador Alejandro Corner was a very insufferable man when he showed up as reinforcements to the UN Forces with the Alvatore. Buying himself too much into the hype of his Mobile Armor... Acting as if he had already won. Now he's space dust., Soma Peries added in the head of Marie Parfacy with her fellow Super Soldier via Quantum Brainwaves while still suspiciously looking at the lavender-haired woman standing next to her.
Anew Returner inquired with a skeptic eye upon checking the specs of the transformable Gundam-Type Mobile Armor for her to analyze, "Hmm... I see. But if Megas has 1 GN Tau Drive attached to it, how was it able to sustain its particle power to function and fight throughout the battle, Commander Chall? Aren't the fake solar reactors dependent on electric generators in order to activate and replenish? They have limited operating time compared to the True GN Drives' semi-perpetual nature."
The bespectacled woman revealed in turn to the recent recruit of Celestial Being, "When we found and recovered Megas, we've discovered that it was nuclear-powered and Dr. Yuri Minovsky from the Krung Thep's research and development division managed to link the GN Tau Drive into the fusion reactor of Megas. As a result, it was able to generate its own GN particles without the need of a daily recharge."
That surprised Sumeragi, Allelujah, Marie, Anew and Lyle after they learned that the fifth Gundam's power source turned out to be from the banned energy which had been disused and abandoned hundreds of years ago. Even Feldt Grace and Lasse Aeon were surprised too as well since they were expecting Megas' GN Tau Drive to be fully energized by a huge electric generator.
Only Tieria doesn't seem to react like everyone else and nod in approval, which he can see it that it made sense behind Megas' source of power. And that he trusted Ian and the experts since they knew what they were doing in their jobs in Celestial Being.
"Nuclear energy... Isn't it dangerous?", Setsuna F. Seiei frowned after learning the tidbit of information regarding the source of power currently used by the new Gundam-Type machine from Chall.
Although the Meister of the 00 Gundam was not properly educated due to his... troubled upbringing back in Krugis, he knew enough of the dangers of nuclear radiation. Of how it poisons the land, taints the air, and bring only pain, suffering and misery to anyone unfortunate enough to come across it.
Such as, for example, the infamous nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that made Japan surrender to the USA in the final days of World War II centuries ago, and the Cold War where the USA and the former Soviet Union made a huge nuclear arms race alongside other countries capable of producing them.
Hence, the world had eventually discarded away nuclear power for good in complete favor of solar energy drawn from the Three Orbital Elevators and the series of major space rings with large solar panels that connect with each other around Earth's orbit. Rendering nuclear power utterly obsolete as a relic of the past.
But it seemed that whoever created Megas in the first place before it was found and modified by Celestial Being had dark intentions for it. Especially with its name acronym being revealed to be called as the:
Mechanized Earth Guard Attack System.
A gigantic machine that came from the future which happened to be a weapon of war.
A future that Setsuna F. Seiei does not like the terrible implications behind it at all.
Then a portly Santa Claus-bearded older man with a bald head who wears a suit and a lab coat appeared before the Ptolemy crew in the conference room meeting and he looked the part of a kindly grandfather which he is.
He chimed in as his screen is displayed next to Commander Chall's and replied, "Dr. Yuri Minovsky here. We are aware of it, Meister Setsuna. But do not worry, with the GN Tau Drive attached to the fusion cores of Megas as a stabilizer, there won't be a risk of a nuclear fallout if Megas ever gets damaged or compromised."
"Along with the fact, my team of scientists and I had spent most of our time reducing the blue particles' toxicity rate to a minimum as possible.", Dr. Yuri Minovsky added in reassurance.
Obliging Soma's request to ask through her, Marie wondered as she reviewed the footage of the Gundam-Type Mobile Armor tanking A-Laws' orange beam blasts without suffering any form of damage at all, "And what's Megas' armor? It seemed different than the E-Carbon used by the Gundams here and even then, they can take damage in battle. No offense."
"Some taken.", Setsuna, Allelujah and Tieria said together in response.
Dr. Yuri Minovsky revealed as he showed the screens about the armor of Gundam Megas to the members of Ptolemy 2 crew, "Ah yes, about that. Chief Engineers Ian and David and I discovered that Megas, prior to modifying it, had Lunar Titanium and Tritanium. Both powerful metal alloys from the future that made it stronger and durable."
The old man frowned with a tone of disappointment, "... Although, judging the destroyed head cockpit of the mobile suit when we took in Megas, those dual metals weren't enough as it seems."
Sumeragi and the other Gundam Meisters winced after hearing that from the doctor. Especially with the earlier footage of Megas being headless after exiting the blue portal they saw.
The head cockpit was an easy target for the enemy to aim for it and the purpose of the mobile suit's head is to act as the main cameras for the pilots for that reason.
Meanwhile, Anew seemed to absorb the information about these unique metal alloys that served as Megas' armor pre-modification upon hearing it from the chief scientist.
"So we have to merge them with the E-Carbon through gradual GN Particle infusion through its nuclear-powered fake solar reactor that we managed to apply into Megas and succeeded. We call it
"Gundinallium-E" as a result of the research and development.", he stated.
Lyle Dylandy said with a mix of incredulous and amazed tone after silently processing the information about Megas, "An-and-and you guys had that massive war machine in the reserve for 2 years after finding and modifying it?! But why didn't you deploy Megas when Celestial Being made its official return before I got recruited? It could have easily turned the tide against the A-Laws like it did now!"
After witnessing Gundam Megas' strength and firepower in the middle of the Battle of Lagrange 3, he knew that not even the likes of the Federation's tyrannical peacekeeping force and the regular military would be able to stand a chance against it in any mobile suit battle when Ptolemy crew were on Earth at the time if the giant mobile armor was involved.
And every fight with Gundam Megas would have been rendered one-sided as a result.
The Katharon base massacre would have been averted if Megas had been there to stop it!, he angrily thought about the sheer speed of the Gundam-Type mobile suit it displayed. Just like it did when quickly intercepting A-Laws reinforcements.
Tieria Erde explained to the twin brother of the late Neil Dylandy, "Because Celestial Being had to finish the development of the 3.5 Generation Gundams and the 4th Generation, the 00 Gundam first. Before proceeding with the complete modification of Gundam Megas. Not only that, the Mobile Armor was meant as a last resort."
"You do not put all your cards on the table.", he added.
Commander Chall nodded in agreement, "Correct, and you will need Megas and also the 00 Raiser for the upcoming operation to destroy the Memento Mori once you finished Ptolemy II's repairs. Now that we have finally revealed them, the A-Laws will increase their forces guarding the orbital super laser and bring more of their elites to deploy against us."
Lasse Aeon casually shrugged as there is really nothing to be worried about at all as he said, "Even if they did, I doubt it will make a difference for the A-Law schmucks anyway. We're pretty unstoppable now."
"
No. Just because we have better machines now on our sides, it doesn't mean absolute victory. The Gundams were unstoppable too... Until they almost got captured by Colonel Sergei Smirnov's anti-Gundam squad and later the joint military effort between the Union, AEU and the Human Reform League at the Taklamakan Desert with just their conventional machines and tactics.", Sumeragi scolded in a stern tone.
She finished, "And that is before they got their hands on the 30 fake solar reactor-powered mobile suits for the UN Forces to finally even the odds against us during Operation Fallen Angels."
Following her gut feeling and prediction, the Celestial Being tactical forecaster knew that the A-Laws won't take this defeat lying down once news from Kati's surviving forces had reached them and they will not hesitate to use any means and all the firepower and machines they got to try take down Gundam Megas at all costs.
Even resorting to use the Memento Mori itself if they have to.
That's what Setsuna, Tieria and Allelujah can agree on as even though Team Trinity later may have turned out to be up to no good, their sudden appearance had saved them from being taken down and captured by the three superpowers. Soma within Marie also nodded in agreement with the captain of Ptolemy 2 as she had taken part of the Chobu's space military operation led by her surrogate father and the three superpowers' joint effort.
These two separate battles had been proven that the Gundams were, ultimately in the end, not always invincible.
That's the fact.
Unfortunately though, Lyle made a skeptical interjection in support of Lasse to everyone in the conference room. "Hah! As if that would work on Megas and also the 00 Raiser too since both of them were able to easily wipe out the A-Laws ships and mobile suit teams like nothing in their tracks. Tactics mean
nothing to raw strength and overwhelming firepower those two possessed.", he said.
Sumeragi gave a stink eye at the 2nd Lockon Stratos in response as she took offense to that remark, having her pride as a tactical forecaster after all. Especially Lasse of all people whom she expected him to have known better after the fall of Alvatore. The same Mobile Armor that had sheer power but ended up losing in the end.
But it seemed that she was wrong. And from her perspective, these two knuckleheads had believed that apparently strategy is no longer needed anymore.
Tieria shared the same sentiment with her as Sumeragi's tactics were the reason why the Ptolemy crew were able to win their victories against the A-Laws and escape from their ambush attempts. Sure, his Seravee Gundam may have the strength and firepower almost similarly like that of Megas albeit his fighting style is somewhat different from his student Louise.
But he was no longer the same overconfident fool who thought that he was untouchable with his Virtue Gundam 4 years ago, and he had learned from his past mistakes.
Setsuna frowned in disapproval as well. Because despite his 00 Gundam gaining a major power boost with the 0 Raiser which allowed him to overpower the A-Laws new model and turn the tide of battle, he still valued Sumeragi's tactics and planning for him to follow and enact on them accordingly.
It would be a foolish action to rush in without any sort of plan and brute force alone cannot win battles.
The undercover Katharon member then remarked, "I mean come on! Those two machines are like trump cards, if the cards literally flipped the table over and shot the other player!"
Allelujah winced at the bizarre image on his head while Hallelujah found it funny, "Uhhh... That's an apt way of saying it, Lockon."
Then the door slid open to reveal the blonde woman in a yellow pilot suit with her helmet hanging from behind the neck who entered the conference room. Following behind her are the floating Haros, which the red one is known to be her partner and the other three whose colors are green, pink and yellow who were the pilots of the GN-X-looking massive machines that came from the future.
"Sorry, I'm late. I just had to put someone on the medical bay and I saw Mr. Ian in there. What happened to him?", she said.
"Is he alright? Is he alright?", Red Haro asked in concern.
The other three Haros from the future spoke in unison, "Casualty of war! Casualty of war! Dead man walking! Dead man walking!"
That disturbed some of the Celestial Being members upon hearing the Future Haros brushing off Ian like that with their childlike voices. Reminding them of that Purple Haro who was owned by Team Trinity before they're dissolved with two brothers Johann Trinity and Michael Trinity were wiped out by Ali-al Saachez and Nena Trinity was presumably taken down by the United Nations Forces 4 years ago.
Shaking off her unease from the three future Haros joining the meeting with them, Feldt Grace informed her friend, "Mr. Ian got hurt by the A-Laws new model's particle cannon attack. Before you wiped that guy out, Louise."
The niece of David Halevy nodded, relieved that she avenged Ian Vashti by taking out the A-Laws elite soldier as her first kill in retaliation.
Commander Chall noted of her presence as she pushed up her glasses, "Ah I see you've finally joined us, Sayla Mass."
Standing sharp at attention, Louise Halevy saluted to everyone in the conference room in front of her. "Sayla Mass. Gundam Meister of Megas, reporting for duty.", she said.
The tactical forecaster of Celestial Being simply told her with a friendly wave of her hand, "Welcome to Ptolemy 2 and at ease please. There's no need for that. We're not like the Federation military."
"Yes, Captain Sumeragi.", she obliged, dropping the salute.
Lyle complimented her with his own Dylandy charm, "So you're the pilot of Gundam Megas huh?... Not bad in your first sortie there, rookie."
Giving an unimpressed stare at the Meister of Cherudim, the blonde young woman tilted her head at the Irishman who's apparently flirting with her. "Really? Rookie? I've been training to be a Gundam Meister for 4 years before you recently joined Celestial Being in its official return, mister. If anything,
you're the rookie here. And sorry, but I have a boyfriend.", she said in a deadpan tone.
This made the Ptolemy 2 crew laugh at the twin brother of Neil Dylandy who got brought down a peg from the female Gundam Meister. Even the ever serious Commander Chall tried to stifle her giggle and Dr. Yuri Minovsky guffawed himself. Setsuna nods in agreement that it was hilarious and it's actually true since Lyle was the newest recruit prior to Anew Returner in Lagrange 3.
"She got you there, Lockon.", Allelujah commented with a chuckle.
"That's not nice to flirt with someone who's already in a relationship.", Anew scolded in a teasing manner.
"Roasted! Roasted!", the four Haros said together.
Making a mock surrender with his hands raised, the Irishman said to ease thing up. "Alright, alright you made your point. And congratulations by the way."
On the other hand, I could have pointed out that "Experience outranks everything."... But I'll not ruin the newbie's moment. It was her first battle after all., Lyle thought as he was a seasoned member of Katharon with mobile suit experience and sniping ability before he was recruited by Celestial Being in the first place as their member and his rebel group's double agent.
"That voice. I remember it four years ago...", Louise said with widened eyes, pointing her finger towards the surprised male Super Soldier whom she recognized. "... You're the Gundam Meister who saved me and Saji. The one who told us and everyone to go to the center of the gravity block."
Through Soma's memories along with sensing a regret from her fellow alternate persona, Marie stated, "Aye, the True Pillar gravity block incident..."
Where we encountered Allelujah and Hallelujah for the first time after they escaped from the Super Human Institute years ago..., the female Super Soldier stated, remembering that her Quantum Brainwaves nearly drove her mad after encountering that of Allelujah's 4 years ago in the middle of testing the Tieren Taozi.
Hallelujah laughed which Soma glared at him,
Yeah, you're freaking out back then and it was hilarious!
Aside from Lyle, the members of Celestial Being remembered that incident where the Tieren Taozi suddenly attacked the HRL's Orbital Elevator station and caused one gravity block to break off from the damage and floated dangerously near towards the
Breakaway Limit Zone. If it weren't for Allelujah's immediate action with the aid of Setsuna and Neil the 1st Lockon Stratos, the said block filled with hundreds of civilians would have made a nasty descent into Earth's atmosphere and crashing into the planet's surface, causing severe destruction and death.
The Human Reform League had tried to cover it up as a terrorist attack from Celestial Being upon the True Pillar as one of their "so-called armed interventions" but got foiled by Colonel Sergei and his forces.
But the eyewitnesses, rescued people and the truth-seeking journalists ruined that by revealing that it's the Gundam that aided the Wild Bear of Russia and saved the people stuck inside gravity block.
Just like how the Kyrios and Virtue had stopped a terrorist group using Hellion mobile suits from attacking the HRL's Orbital Elevator in the middle of its anniversary during Celestial Being's first public debut.
And now the Ptolemy 2 crew recently learned that their guest Saji Crossroad and now the female Meister of Gundam Megas were among the people saved by Allelujah Haptism 4 years ago. It finally came around in full circle that the rescued victims have gotten to meet the hero who had saved them.
Making a formal bow of gratefulness to Allelujah, Louise said. "Thank you for saving us. I never thought we'd cross paths like this."
"You're welcome, Sayla. I was just doing the right thing.", the Gundam Meister of Arios humbly responded while he can feel Hallelujah internally roll his eyes but let him have it as it seemed he got good karma paying off after 4 years.
However, he can also sense Soma's guilt of causing the accident to happen in the first due to their Quantum Brainwaves clashing while Marie was advising her to not tell the blonde woman about her involvement in it. Until there's better timing to tell the truth.
"Louise Halevy, I didn't expect you of all people to be a Gundam Meister...", Setsuna commented, remembering her as willful, playful and devoted to Saji whenever he had to spend time with them outside his work in Celestial Being.
And that was before Nena Trinity suddenly attacked the wedding event of the Halevy family, sadistically taking many lives and landed Louise into the hospital.
"And I didn't expect a boring apartment neighbor of my boyfriend to be one as well 4 years ago, Setsuna F. Seiei.", the blonde young woman playfully shot back in response.
Lightly chuckling that it's actually accurate and true, the Gundam Meister of the 00 nodded before asking, "Touché. So how did you join Celestial Being?"
As Louise was about to make a short summarization about it, Commander Chall had to cut in as she stated, "I am afraid that will have to wait. That also includes our certain guests from the future as well. Right now, the destruction of the Memento Mori takes top priority."
Sumeragi and her fellow Ptolemy 2 crew members agreed with the de facto leader of Celestial Being as they need to eliminate the Memento Mori before the A-Laws keep attacking more innocents with it. Even Lyle nodded as well because the lives of his comrades in Katharon are in danger, knowing that they won't stand around and be idle when there's the Federation's orbital superlaser above their heads.
I can guess she's related to this David Halevy., the Gundam Meister of Cherudim observed in thought about her surname after hearing Setsuna calling Sayla Mass her real name as they were old acquaintances in the past.
"Can we help? Can we help?", the green Future Haro asked.
"We can fight! We can fight!", the pink Future Haro yelled.
"Please! Please!", the yellow Future Haro pleaded.
"As for the Future Haros here, they will be part of the crew for now and their mobile suits will be taken to Krung Thep for study and repair. Including their commander's.", the Commander of Celestial Being declared much to the disappointment of the robotic pilots of the GN-X-looking giant machines.
She added, "As for the said commander, she will remain at the medical bay until she recovers from her coma. Once the Memento Mori is dealt with, you will ask questions from her, Captain Sumeragi."
The Future Haros said together to the humans, "Her name is Kiva Andru! Her name is Kiva Andru!"
So that's her name. She might probably the voice me and Setsuna heard last... before Louise's screaming ruined it., Feldt wondered in her thought.
"Roger, Commander. ", the older brown haired woman nodded in agreement.
They needed more answers but only they will get them after they win and survive first.
"Meeting adjourned.", Chall Acustica said with a nod before turning off her communication and Dr. Yuri Minovsky followed suit.
Feldt Grace sighed in relief after her surrogate relative is gone from the visual screen, "Phew, I thought Aunt Chall might bring up about me piloting the 0 Raiser. She would have reprimanded me for abandoning my post."
Sumeragi reassured the pink haired young woman, "But I'm sure she will understand once the operation is over."
Lasse shrugged with bemusement, "Probably, she might have already known since she was watching the entire battle and ordered Megas to be launched into battle. But apparently, we have bigger things to worry about like the Memento Mori."
Louise was surprised after hearing it from the helmsman of Ptolemy 2, "Whoa, you're actually piloting, Feldt? Congratulations!"
"Blue Haro helped though. But I did distract Setsuna's opponent by shooting his new model machine in the back. Long enough to dock the 0 Raiser into the 00 and he took care of the rest.", the daughter of Marlene and Ruido sheepishly said.
"So basically, you're
riding him, hmmm?", the blonde young woman mischievously inquired with a wiggling of her eyebrows.
"LOUISE!", Feldt screamed with a red face after knowing what her blonde friend exactly meant. "It's
not like that!"
Marie blushed as she remembered the...
compromising position she had with Allelujah in their reunion when finally coming out to take over the body and putting Soma into the backseat. Hallelujah who reviewed the memories of his other half after he woke up from his 4 years of coma laughed his ass off when he saw that kind of memory.
Setsuna was confused as he explained with a straight face, "Well, yes. She was piloting the 0 Raiser attached to the 00 at the back. I did warn Feldt to hold on to me as the ride might get rough."
Everyone in the conference room burst out laughing at his innocent innuendo while Feldt's face turned redder as a result. "I see. It must be an exciting ride of your life eh Feldt? Feels good right, am I right?", Louise teasingly inquired.
"Alright, that's enough! We need to stay focused and get Ptolemy 2 and the Gundams ready for the upcoming mission to destroy the Memento Mori.", Sumeragi ordered, sparing Feldt from further teasing.
It's a good thing Commander Chall is not here to see this. It would get out of hand!
"Roger!", the members of Celestial Being agreed.
"Before I forget, I should reprimand you.", Setsuna then stated which caught the others' attention and wonder.
Louise asked with a confused face, "Reprimand me for what, Setsuna?"
The Krugis young man lightly karate chopped the niece of David Halevy in the head in front of everyone in the meeting, surprised of his action.
"Owwwww! What did you do that for, Setsuna?!", Louise yelled as she soothed her aching head.
Setsuna scolded her as he folded his arms, "You were shouting too loud with your war cry, Louise. It nearly broke my concentration in the battlefield when I heard you. You need to tone it down."
Feldt nodded in agreement with him about that.
My ears are still a bit ringing...
Giving a blank look at him, the female Gundam Meister sassed back at him in turn as she made a deep sounding voice impression, "At least I don't scream
"I AM GUNDAM!" like Batman!"
Those who knew Setsuna personally found it hilarious as the former pilot of Exia was known to be obsessed into thinking that he is Gundam as his only identity. Almost similarly like Batman who sees himself as the true identity while Bruce Wayne was only his mask from the DC superhero comics.
The Krugis young man rolled his eyes at his old habit. "I'm never living this one down. Who told you?", he muttered.
"The Haros did. They're very chatty.", Louise replied in a cheeky manner.
"Confirmed! Confirmed!", Red Haro agreed with his partner.
"We are Haro! We are Legion! We are the Earth Coalition! We are the Last Bastion!", the three Future Haros proudly said together as one.
So many questions, so little time to ask about what is the Earth Coalition to the Ptolemy 2 crew. Perhaps later after Memento Mori is successfully taken out.
"Setsuna has a point though, Sayla. Your battle screaming is something to behold even in space. Everyone have heard it. Probably even your uncle. But seriously, tone it down.", the purple haired Gundam Meister of Seravee mused with a mischievous glint of his eye glasses at his student.
"Et tu Brute, Master Tieria?... ", Louise dryly snarked as the members of Celestial Being chuckle at her expense.
The pink haired young woman said after calming down her blushing, "There's also something I'd like to tell you. It's about Saji..."
The Meister of Megas was caught off guard from what Feldt just informed her with a double take, "Wait what?!"
At Hangar 3 of Ptolemy 2, few hours later post-meeting
Directing a group of several Haros piloting the Karels to seal the huge hole caused by the powerful beam attack from the A-Laws' new model on the hangar, Saji Crossroad in his civilian attire heard the door slide open and continued his work as he knew who the person was coming to see him after four years. At least with the hole being sealed off and breathable air available again, there is no need to wear the space suits for protection anymore.
Meanwhile, Louise Halevy approached her busy boyfriend from behind and stopped to stand next to him until one of them said something.
Dammit Feldt, you should have told me about Saji being a guest in Ptolemy before the attack on Lagrange 3 happened! Well, at least he is doing fine. I think., she thought upon seeing how tall and handsome he had become.
"... How long, Louise?", Saji asked in a neutral tone while looking at his pad of the repair status.
Briefly wincing as she can tell that he already knew her affiliation by piloting Gundam Megas and it's time to face the music, Louise replied, "How long was I part of Celestial Being, Saji?... Four years."
"Four years after Celestial Being was defeated by the UN Forces in Operation Fallen Angels...", the brown haired young man blankly noted as he put down the pad and confronted her face to face. "And you didn't tell me throughout the messages we shared with each other before you apparently ghosted me..."
That hit a bit of a sore spot on him after learning that his girlfriend was with Celestial Being the whole time and it seemed Setsuna and the others didn't tell him the truth when they took him in as a guest under their protection from the A-Laws. Although Saji couldn't deny that Louise's new hairstyle in form of a short length coif bobcut is pretty when he looked at her appearance for the first time since 4 years.
Wow, she's beautiful..., he internally noted.
The blonde young woman retorted in response, "Would you have believed me then if I told you? That I was whisked away to space by my uncle so I can get particle poisoning treatment from the same organization that tried to eliminate war and they managed to succeed."
Almost..., she thought about her prosthetic arm hidden underneath her pilot suit but didn't add that to her words.
"You have an uncle? I-I-I thought...", Saji commented with wide eyes, remembering the female nurse who informed him that most members of the Halevy family had perished by a Gundam Throne Drei's petty indiscriminate attack.
"Uncle David wasn't at my cousin's wedding when Nena Trinity attacked and killed my family. He was working at Krung Thep at the time.", Louise explained to her boyfriend after shaking her head.
Noticing that Louise had already known the identity of the serial attacker long before he did when he was browsing Celestial Being's computers with Blue Haro back then, Saji frowned, "And that's how you learned that he worked for Celestial Being the whole time when he took you to space?"
"Before I found out Uncle David was a member of Celestial Being, he said he was part of the AEU's colony construction effort as a civilian contractor. Uncle David sometimes come down to Earth and pay a visit to the family... Even though he was a clumsy goofball.", the Gundam Meister of Megas explained as she had some fond memories of her uncle watching pay-per-view wrestling shows and playing video games with her together.
Even though she wasn't able to beat him at those games but it was still fun regardless.
Saji asked while internally wincing as he remembered how he reacted negatively to Setsuna being revealed to be a Celestial Being member in their reunion post-4 years timeskip, "And you didn't take it well?..."
GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT! YOU KILLED MOM AND DAD! HOW COULD YOU?! YOU WORKED FOR CELESTIAL BEING, YOU BASTARD! I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU! Louise remembered those words full of spite, hatred and anger towards her uncle continuing to haunt her in her mind. Even though she calmed down and he took it in stride and forgave her to let bygones be bygones, she still could not forgive herself.
Uncle David was the only family she had left and God help you if you take him away from her.
"No. No I didn't...", she shamefully replied.
"And you joined Celestial Being because they managed to fix you up, Louise?", the brown haired young man questioned.
The blonde young woman simply remarked to her boyfriend in a self-deprecating manner, "Four years of rehabilitation, healing and stress release can do that for you, Saji. Ironically, I was chosen to be trained as a Gundam Meister after I... showed potential when I was allowed to use the mobile suit simulation to vent out my rage on the Gundams and beat the crap out of them."
Playing video games was quite therapeutic for me back then., she thought.
"Before you say it, yes. I knew what I signed up for Saji. That I would be taking enemy lives when I'm in a Gundam. The feeling to pull the trigger for the first time and knowing there's no turning back... But I have no regrets.", she preemptively declared, remembering her first kill with the Gundam Megas' Large Beam Cannon that took away the life of the A-Laws elite soldier who attacked the Ptolemy 2.
Louise was relieved she killed that person threatening the Celestial Being spaceship. Otherwise, her friends and Saji would have been harmed if the A-Laws special machine hadn't been dealt with immediately.
On the other hand, Saji can see why his girlfriend was comfortable to be around with Celestial Being and became one of their pilots of the Gundams. Especially when they had saved her life and fixed her particle poisoning afflicting her body.
However, it saddened him to see that Louise was actually willing to take lives of the enemy with her mobile suit to protect everyone here and made peace with her choice. In complete contrast to himself as he once tried to shoot Setsuna with a gun he stole from his holster while angrily ranted at him.
"It was your fault...that the person I love... You wounded her... and killed her parents and all of her family! And my one and only family, my sister, too... All she ever did was get involved with Celestial Being and she was killed! Louise...and my sister! They're gone now! Say something!"
But Saji refused to pull the trigger as he didn't want to stoop to Celestial Being's level and became a passive-aggressive self-righteous piece of shit he was to them instead. Even when the Ptolemy 2 crew tried to make sure his stay in their ship was comfortable and they gave him Blue Haro as his new companion.
Until the Katharon base massacre by the A-Laws had happened because of his idiotic actions gave him a nasty slap in the face. Literally with Tieria Erde who slapped him and harshly called him out on his selfishness and naivety upon learning what he did.
And yet he still couldn't do it when he tried to volunteer to man the Ptolemy 2's turrets to attack the A-Laws as part of the crew's risky but improvised plan to draw them away from the evacuating Katharon survivors who left their destroyed base to another safe location somewhere in the Middle East.
It had nearly ended in disaster if it weren't for the lucky recovery of Sumeragi Lee Noriega who previously fainted from witnessing the results of the atrocities A-Laws had done at the base, and woke up in time to order a smokescreen cover for a retreat. Which fortunately, the A-Laws also withdrew from the battle as well.
Sadly sighing, the space engineer revealed to her. "You're right, Louise. It's not like I have any right to judge you for taking lives of the enemy as a Gundam pilot... Not when I had killed others myself."
Shocked at her boyfriend's confession, the female Gundam Meister demanded, "... What did you do?"
The brown haired young man somberly explained as he expected a harsh rebuttal from her which he deserved it, "I see Tieria didn't tell you. I will do it then... I screwed up Louise. I led A-Laws to Katharon base and they killed everyone inside with their Automatons."
"All because I just wanted to go home and get away from this madness... And they died because of me.", he finished, remembering the Katharon members being friendly and welcoming including the kids. Especially the guard who gave him the keys to one of their vehicles for a trip to the town.
Before the rebels were callously shot down in droves by the killer blocky robots deployed by the A-Laws.
At least the children were fine and safe from the danger but sadly the adults were not so lucky, being slaughtered in droves like animals.
Grabbing Saji by the collar of his blue civilian shirt with her prosthetic arm, Louise angrily called out. "Saji, you idiot! I thought I told you to stay out of trouble! Did you even read my message?!"
"I DID!", Saji protested with tears on his eyes. "... But I didn't expect to get falsely accused of being a Katharon sympathizer, forced into slave labor against my will and would have died if it weren't for Setsuna saving my worthless life, and be that one
fucking idiot who tried to run away from reality that slapped me in the face for it! Believing everything will be alright after I explained to the Wild Bear of Russia of my wrongful situation when I ran into him!"
"Colonel Sergei Smirnov? Did he...?", the blonde woman asked with narrowed eyes, vowing that if that Russian man had harmed Saji personally, he will severely regret it.
Saji shook his head and explained, "No! He was kind and respectful to me. He wanted to help me clear my name if I told him my story to him and I did... He didn't expect one of his own subordinates to be a snitch and told the A-Laws where Katharon base is behind his back. So they can go there and start the massacre."
Louise let go of Saji as he finished and tearfully looked down on the floor, "Because of that, Colonel Smirnov had to let me go and get away from the A-Laws... Back to Celestial Being before they come get me and finish the job."
I wonder if Commander Chall should have allowed me to join the Ptolemy 2 far earlier than now. I could have stopped all of this..., the Meister of Megas thought about the what ifs and what could have been.
But for now, Saji was affected and the guilt has been eating at his conscience.
Sympathizing with Saji, she hugged her remorseful boyfriend and he returned the hug. "It's okay, Saji. At least you're still alive.", she said. "... I don't know what I will do if something happened to you..."
"You might probably explode in a huge temper and wipe out the A-Laws from the face of the Earth.", the brown haired young man chuckled, remembering how she easily gets angry back whenever things don't go her way and he had to try calm her down during their teenager days.
Since Louise is a Gundam pilot, he can already see her going on a vengeful rampage with Megas and it's clear that she won't hesitate to use it. Although he hoped that she doesn't do that and go too far.
On the other hand, Louise wanted to confess to him that she failed to say since the True Pillar gravity block incident 4 years ago. Taking the opportunity, she said. "Hey, Saji... I'm not sure whether or not will live through this, so there's something I want to say... You know Saji, I-"
She didn't expect Saji to kiss her on the lips!
And yet she returned it which lasted for a minute before they let go.
"I know. I love you too Louise.", the space engineer declared before noticing something around her neck and made a good guess. "I see you kept the ring."
"You as well. We have four years catching up...", the female Gundam Meister slyly stated as she can see the necklace from her boyfriend which holds the ring too.
Somewhere around Hangar 3 is Mileina Vashti internally squealing with happiness while hiding to not get the couple's attention as she had Blue Haro take a picture of their kiss.
So she can share it with everyone in Ptolemy 2!
En route back to the Earth Sphere Federation
As the pitiful remnants of A-Laws task force made their way back home from their failure to wipe out Celestial Being at their home turf, the handful of survivors were reeling from the huge losses they have suffered. It was utterly devastating and humiliating for them to lose so many of their comrades to Celestial Being especially with Gundam Megas showing up to give them the Alvatore treatment on the receiving end.
Meanwhile, Colonel Kati Mannequin recently made contact with Brigadier General Arthur Goodman to give her After Action Report to him at her personal office of her Baikal-class command cruiser. The Iron Lady knew that she is bringing bad news to the general but she will not sugarcoat it and thus, she explained everything in detail of what happened at the Battle of Lagrange 3.
She even had the recorded footage of the Gundam Megas with its blue particles in action directly sent to her superior officer himself as further valid proof of her claims.
His reaction to such unfortunate news was quite an understatement in a nutshell.
"Alright, let me get this straight here, colonel. You almost pushed Celestial Being into a corner like a hammer to an anvil... You were this
close to wipe them out since Operation Fallen Angels... And then this Gundam-Type Mobile Armor had appeared out of nowhere. Causing massive losses to your fleet and the mobile suit teams under your command. Even managing to take down one of the two Licensed Officers accompanying by itself. Is that right?", the fat blonde man reviewed with a big frown on his face and a twitch on his eye.
It is clear that he was expecting total annihilation upon Celestial Being, but instead it's the A-Laws forces under Kati that suffered it instead.
The bespectacled woman grimly confirmed in response, "Yes, general. The Gundam-Type machine identified as Megas was unleashed by Celestial Being as their newest ace in the hole and we believe that they had used the remains of deceased UN Ambassador Alejandro Corner's Alvatore and its GN Tau Drives to create it."
Accepting this tidbit of information from her, General Goodman remarked, "I see... It was a grave mistake of the UN Forces to leave behind that blasted Mobile Armor after it failed to finish off Celestial Being 4 years ago. And now we're paying the price for it."
That Colonel Kati can agree with him and now so many lives of her troops under her command were lost, reduced to space dust. Her plan to destroy Celestial Being spectacularly failed. No doubt the remainder of her forces had been traumatized after losing their comrades and witnessing the giant Gundam-Type machine's firepower tearing through their ranks thoroughly and mercilessly.
Especially after they all have heard the psychopathic female Gundam pilot's battle cry of
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" and it's something they can never unhear for the rest of their lives.
Some broke down and despaired while others vowed revenge on Celestial Being especially Megas. As for the rest, they carried on to their duties in form of repairing the damaged ships and mobile suits and applying medical treatment to the injured pilots and crew members in need of it even though they are also affected by the Megas' assault.
She even heard some of them fearfully calling Megas,
"The Blue Giant" which Captain Descartes Shaman was the first to give it a fitting nickname.
General Goodman demanded, "Is there anything else to report to me, colonel?"
"Yes, there's more.", the tactical forecaster of the A-Laws confirmed before showing him the footage of the 00 Raiser slicing and blasting through her mobile suit forces in its path. "Celestial Being has revealed that they've created a new fighter attachment machine from their hidden base and launched it to augment the Twin Drive Gundam's GN particle power output to turn the tide in their favor. Increasing its strength to the point it overpowered Licensed Officer Bring Stabity's GNZ model."
"That would mean Celestial Being holds two trump cards and they won't be afraid to use it after unleashing them on the battlefield.", the brigadier general of the A-Laws noted with a visible twitch on his eye before stating. "... I will inform Commander Homer Katagiri about this precarious situation. Hopefully he will convince Federation President Horace Williams to further increase the budget on mobile suit research and development. To create new stronger models to counter them with the best Licensed Officers in our ranks."
It probably won't be enough with those two machines going to destroy them with ease anyway... Unless they recreate the Alvatore or upgrade the Trilobites for space use somehow., Colonel Kati bitterly thought but kept that to herself. Not after her tactics were made a joke to the Gundam-Type Mobile Armor and the Twin Drive Gundam subsequently.
"What are your orders, general?", she asked from her superior officer in the A-Laws.
"For now, return to base. Your forces had suffered heavy blows because of this Megas and the Twin Drive Gundam. Major Abner Rindt and his forces will take it from here.", the fat blonde man told her in response.
"Yes sir.", the tactical forecaster of the A-Laws saluted as her contact with the brigadier general ended and her holographic screen closed itself. She thought with a scoff of disdain about the so-called specialist of mop-up operations,
As if that smug German asshole can do anything to stop Celestial Being better than I. He'll die a fool's death anyway.
Slumping on her seat, Colonel Kati was tempted to get a bottle of wine from her desk and drink away her frustration and sorrow after the major disaster of her operation thanks to Megas and its psychopathic female Gundam pilot.
No, that would mean stooping to Kujo's level... , she bitterly thought about her former friend-revealed-to-be-terrorist.
Then the Iron Lady noticed that something is off ever since she ordered the complete withdrawal of all remaining A-Laws forces away from Lagrange 3.
She was expecting Lieutenant Patrick Colasour to be entering into her office unannounced where he would sheepishly apologize to her for failing to take down Celestial Being in her name, and cheer her up by naturally being his goofy self at any moment.
But the so-called King of Mock Battles, who was her self-proclaimed white knight in shining armor, never showed up...
Meanwhile at one of the vacant rooms within the ship, Bring Stabity angrily smashed his right fist into the metal wall that left some noticeable dent behind, demonstrating his superhuman strength as an Innovator. "I can't believe we were bested in battle by mere humans! Revive Revival taken out by that giant Gundam-Type's surprise attack and now the Twin Drive Gundam had that fighter back attachment that increased its power, besting
me!", he snarled in rage.
It grated a lot on his pride as a combat-type Innovator. They're supposed to be superior than the humans Ribbons intended to rule over and guide them as their Messiah!
Bring also knew about Revive's connection with his twin sister Anew Returner via Quantum Brainwaves and now it's severed with the lavender-haired Innovator's death. His fellow Innovator can never regain her true memories and remain stuck inside her false persona during her stay at Celestial Being even if Ribbons brought Revive back with a new cloned body.
Now he would have to dedicate himself and his power to destroy Celestial Being and erase the stain of dishonor to the Innovators!
Suddenly, he received a telepathic message from Ribbons Almark via a quick flash of Quantum Brainwaves they share, which snapped him out of his anger. "I see... We are to capture the 00 and the Megas.", he noted after calming himself down and processing his leader's orders.
He finished, "And he's getting Regene Regetta, Hilling Care and Devine Nova involved. Along with bringing back Revive Revival in a new body."
Exiting the room, Bring walked past by several despondent A-Laws members carrying the boxes of their deceased comrades' belongings including a grief-stricken Lieutenant Andrei Smirnov who held the box containing the belongings of the deceased Captain Barack Zinin in the hallway of the Baikal-class cruiser.
Not only that, Ribbons is sending out his three wards from the Corner and Harvey families he took in after the deaths of Alejandro and Laguna 4 years ago. Molding them as his Neo Team Trinity with Ali-al Saachez as their leader and trainer., he thought.
As soon as he receives another GNZ unit, hopefully the more powerful and stronger variant, upon its finished production and deployment from The Celestial Being mothership to the frontlines and meet up with his comrades and allies, the combat-type Innovator will be more than happy to carry out the mission for the sake of a unified world under Ribbons Almark's control.
For that, Celestial Being must fall!
At the Katharon Middle East Base
Marina Ismail rested against the wall in the hallway nearby the mobile suit hangar of Katharon outside the meeting room, having just exited after the most recent meeting she participated had ended with Klaus Grad expressing himself to be something beyond furious at the Federation and its A-Laws. That is before he started contacting the Katharon space forces stationed from the Axis and other hidden asteroid bases to mobilize as soon as possible and destroy the so-called Memento Mori.
Then Klaus decided to call for the man named Goliath-13 for his help as well. Something about deploying some of his prototype machines to take part of the upcoming space military offense.
Marina had learned that they're codenames for various undercover members of Katharon such as Jean or Goliath to ensure that the Federation won't find out their true identities as they worked underneath its nose, supporting the rebel army organization and its branches dotting on Earth and in space through discreet funding, spying and gathering sympathizers into the cause, etc.
They fired the space laser again. And they even wiped out a large refugee camp full of innocent people!... How can anyone be so cruel?!, she angrily thought.
The more time progressed and events happened, the more she realized that her old ideology just didn't seem to work at all.
Between the two subsequent laser attacks, the A-Laws had probably killed over one million people with it and millions more will join the body count if the Memento Mori wasn't stopped as soon as possible.
Was one million people enough for these people to justify what they were doing? How many more people were they willing to kill to make their point?!, the former ruler of Azadistan bitterly thought as she gripped her hands.
Marina could see that Setsuna F. Seiei and Shirin Bakhtiar were at least partially right about the world. No one would give her pacifism a second thought if they wanted something that she had, as the Federation had shown by forcibly taking over her country and her people were completely helpless to stop it from happening.
Right after the red Gundam-Type mobile suit, which she presumed it to be from the A-Laws, had singlehanded burned down everything to the ground and its sadistic pilot clearly had reveled in it.
And Setsuna knew who that pilot really was. Could he be from Krugis as well?..., she wondered.
And even before that, when Azadistan was tearing itself apart five years ago, the former First Princess could do nothing to stop it despite her efforts. All her pleas for stopping the violence had been ignored and her people had suffered from it. The older woman had been so married to her ideals when she was elected as its ruler, but now that she no longer was, her belief in her dream was weakened.
Someone among the royal palace's staff had even attempted to assassinate Marina directly with a stolen handgun before the two guards quickly dispatched the woman in time. And the dead face of the shot down would-be assassin horrified her before the guards took the corpse away.
If I had been more forceful, stronger in the assembly, could I have averted that? She internally pondered as she knew what ifs were always something you can't fully trust, but it had been haunting her recently.
Could I have prevented the need for the Gundams to show up to solve my problems, at least somewhat? She was aware that there was a third party that had been stoking the fire, but there has to be an existing conflict for it to create such a large blaze from it.
The painful question Marina would had to ask to herself is: would she be willing to fight personally? If the base was attacked right now, would she be willing to help defend the base against their attackers?
If she had asked even a few months ago, she would have vehemently denied ever wanting a gun, but after the events of the last month or so, she was much more uncertain. Setsuna and other members of Katharon had shown how just because you are willing to kill people, doesn't mean you would become cruel.
There are innocent people who live here, displaced by the Federation and had no where to stay. Would they judge me for being willing to kill?, Marina thought as she glanced at the blue mobile suits standing in Katharon base's hangar bays.
Some of them she recognized were the Anfs that were used by her country's royal military and they appeared to be heavily modified than the standard ones that she was more familiar with.
It had taken her a while, but the former First Princess had realized one of her hang ups on using weapons personally. The previous ruler of Azadistan had shown himself to be willing to use force and violence to get what he wanted, such as with the invasion and annexation of Krugis which ended in bloodshed and piles of corpses on the ground.
And all what's left of that former country was a barren wasteland with few remnants of its people alive and bitter at Azadistan.
After succeeding him, Marina had wanted to separate herself as much from that horrible image, becoming
"a princess of peace and diplomacy", which in hindsight was to her detriment.
To the international community and the world leaders, Marina may have looked good and appealing, but to the traditionalists and her people, her policies only made her look weak and spineless instead.
But who is there to judge me now? Would someone see me turn down a gun and look at me like I'm a hero?
No, none of the people would judge her now.
After all, Marina had been through with reality slapping her in the face and it would be understandable if she changed her point of view.
Maybe she would taken Shirin's offer to learn how to defend herself by either using a gun or even piloting a mobile suit if she has to. If the base was under attack or they ever had to go on the run, she could at least delay the enemy till someone who knew how to fight could deal with them.
Getting off the wall, Marina Ismail straightened her back and began her search for Shirin, walking with purpose and resolve in her eyes.
If I'm going to break my old principles, I might as well do it without any doubts. It's what Setsuna would have told me to do.
Meanwhile in deep space far far away from the Lagrange 3
Due to being punched in the face by Gundam Cherudim and sent flying away, the headless GN-XIII of Lieutenant Patrick Colasour was drifted away into deep space from the territorial area of Lagrange 3 and the remaining A-Laws forces had unknowingly left him behind when they received withdrawal order from Colonel Kati Mannequin after they had sustained far too many losses from Gundam Megas and the 00 Raiser Gundam.
Unlucky for him for the first time of his life, his false solar reactor had lost most of its power, unable to move and fly his way back to the A-Laws.
"Dammit, dammit, dammit! Move already! I need to get back to the Colonel!", the Frenchman pilot repeatedly tried to activate his machine's GN Tau Drive to no success.
Please God! I don't want to die alone! Save me! Anyone! Please! Give me a miracle! Anything!, he internally pleaded.
Suddenly, a gigantic blue portal opened above Patrick and out comes a gargantuan green warship that looks very intimidating and armed to the teeth. And it made the Baikal-class cruisers used by the A-Laws and the Federation Forces look very small in comparison to it. That also includes the Celestial Being's own capital ship too as well.
"A-A-A-ALIENS?!", the redhead young man shouted with surprise and widened eyes in terror, recognizing the ship to be obviously not of Earth origin at all.
He didn't expect aliens to be actually real and appearing now of all times.
However, if the sci-fi movies had told him right about one thing: aliens with massive guns on their mothership are obviously
not here to come in peace with humans at all.
If I stay perfectly still, they will go away..., Patrick hoped as his GN-XIII had no orange particles left from its deactivated fake solar reactor and that there would be nothing for them to detect at all.
On the other hand at the bridge of the Karajor, Warmaster Gorrath got up on his feet and barked out orders to the recovering Glorft crew members of his personal warship after they managed to escape from the Time Warp Portal that had dragged them inside in the first place. "ARRRGGGGHHH! Status report!"
The Glort Navigator reported as he checked the warship's advanced computer systems to know before informing his leader, "It appears that we have arrived in the year 2312, Warmaster. We followed the beacon transponder of the Avatar Prototype that was activated which led us here as you instructed."
"Warmaster Gorrath, we have detected an unknown mech floating next to the Karajor and heat signature is stated to be that of a human.", the Glorft Commander informed his superior officer which he then showed it to him.
Getting visual from his bridge's screen, Gorrath saw a red-colored human mobile suit with no head floating around near his warship. "Humans of this timeline must have been at their middle stages of mecha development... At least it won't be a boring battle to crush these monkeys if they can't fight back.", the Warmaster of the Glorft observed before ordering with a malicious smile.
He said, "Send out a squad and bring it in. We should give our...
"esteemed guest" a warm welcome and then ask him if they have my Avatar Prototype in their possession..."
"Yes sir!", the Glorft Commander gleefully complied.
Before Patrick's eyes, the hangar bay of the Karajor opened its door to reveal a squad of five gigantic mobile suits that has a digitigrade design with a hunched-like posture and its head design that generally resemble part-amphibian, part-cephalopod appearance for some reason, back shoulder-mounted missile tube launchers and a backpack with three rocket thrusters, and giant minigun on the right arm while the left arm has three-clawed hands.
And they're flying towards him!
"Oh no no no no no! Please don't take me to your leader! Please don't take me to your leader! Please don't take me to your leader!", the so-called Immortal Colasour pleaded as he constantly attempts to reactivate his mobile suit again to no avail.
One of the Glorft Mechs grabbed the depowered GN-XIII with its claw hand and flew its way back into the Karajor with their four other comrades flying behind it to ensure their quarry does not suddenly reactivate and try to escape. In comparison of heights, the GN-XIII looked short to the Glorft machines, just being barely at their knee level.
Terrified of what the aliens are going to do to him in their interrogation and the fact that he can never go back home to Earth once he entered into the alien mothership, Patrick Colasour tearfully screamed out his last words before his impending doom.
"SAVE ME COLONEEEEEEELLLL!"
Then the door of Karajor's hangar bay ominously shut itself behind them.
Author's Note: Alright then, Chapter 6 of "Megas 00" is done and I hope you like it. Ptolemy crew had to put aside their questions regarding the unconscious Kiva currently at the medical bay for healing and focus on taking down the Memento Mori, Katharon is on the move with David Halevy/Goliath-13 getting involved into the fray of battle, and of course Ribbons Almark is making his new moves to counter Celestial Being due to the unexpected appearance of Gundam Megas and the power of 00 Raiser.
On the other hand, alas poor Patrick. It looks like your luck has appeared to be run out when you encounter the Glorft and been taken prisoner. Maybe Patrick should blame Lyle Dylandy for punching his GN-XIII right into deep space that led him to the Glorft... But then again, Patrick was the reason why Neil Dylandy lost his good sniping eye after attempting to block the red beam saber stab meant for Tieria Erde. Which it became a catalyst of losing his duel against Ali-al Saachez later on in Season 1.
So yeah, long overdue karma for Patrick is a bitch.
As for the Glorft, they won't make a move against Earth of the Anno Domini timeline just yet. They're somewhere in deep space away from the Earth Sphere and the Lagranges after they just exited the time portal. Plus they got Patrick in their custody for interrogation to get information from him one way or another.
Credits goes to Dontus -not Donut- Powerus for the suggestion of a unique name of Gundam Megas' armor, and also to fnlrpa whom I borrowed some elements of the "In Another Time, Another World" in this chapter and check out his stories for they are good read. Especially his latest story, "Old Family, New Memories."
On the next chapter, I will have to focus on the antagonists and their perspective in the aftermath of the Battle of Lagrange 3 in Celestial Being's victory. The upcoming Battle of Memento Mori won't be the same after all and I'm raising the stakes.
Enjoy and don't forget to review.
