[X] Accept Homura's request to eat here in a tree. You've actually always kind of wanted to do that.

You know, this goes from just her non-necessarily-true comment that she attended school in Tokyo beforehand, but my headcanon is that the hospital Homura stayed at was in Toyko, rather than at Mitakihara.

I'm gonna assume that is not true for this quest.

Otherwise she would have been a tad more out of breath. And of magic. :V

I got the impression from somewhere, I don't actually remember where come to think, that Homura was either transferred from a hospital in Tokyo or sent directly to Mitakihara when hospitalization became necessary, on account of needing treatment for her heart? Far as I know, specialty cardiac work generally, well, has specialists and special equipment that are in fixed locations.

Meh, don't have enough background in the matter to vet that assessment, nor dig up where I'm getting that idea, though. I should be finishing up homework.

I've always assumed Homura has a moped in her shield she uses for inter-city travel. It seems like a Homu thing to do.

I do not like missing my Sabrina ;n;

Come back...

I mean, suppose the question there is, does Kyubey know enough is weird about what's happened to us, and agree or be party to enough of it, to abandon its modus operandi and let the masquerade breach stand? Because otherwise, it would be a little weird for it to suddenly stop covering stuff up for its favorite* local asset.

*if that's a thing Kyubey can have.

Kyuubey ties things so the evidence points to a North Korean op. American outrage is enough to attack North Korea. China comes to North Korea's defense.

Great job, catgirl, you just started WW3. :V

I do not like missing my Sabrina ;n;

Come back...

Is this some sort of reverse synchronization feedback thing where the character in the quest starts influencing voter options?

You have not noticed the motorcycle parked outside your apartment -- why would you?

You almost sluggishly remove one of the grief seeds from four-space and tap it to your soul gem. A veritable tide of grief washes outward and you very suddenly feel much, much better.

The seed isn't quite full yet, so... You toss it at Homura, who catches it. "Thank you," you say, "I... it seems I lost track of things."

In response, Homura gives you a look that makes you feel like a foolish child and tosses the seed back to you. "It's your kill," she murmurs, "keep it."

If she had done that to you that first time-! Sabrina is, as always, correct. Homura really needs friends. And because you know that, you throw the seed right back at her. She's visibly surprised and frustrated for the moment before you pull out the second seed and waggle it. "I said I'd hunt two, didn't I?" you ask, the words warm and almost teasing now that you don't feel like all the happiness is missing from you, "I just... I think I know what's happened and it..."

You shake your head. "We need to talk, but we should eat first. Just... One thing though."

You pause. "Today isn't April 13th, is it, Homura? I... It's March 16th."

Homura... it's hard to describe. What goes across her face is, you think, most akin to sudden understanding. In lieu of saying anything, she simply nods, and with that you feel cold fact wash away any hopefulness you might have had to the contrary.

You sigh in acceptance. You can hash everything out later. "Alright. Where do you want to eat?" you ask, withdrawing the two bento from the handbag and offering one to her. Homura takes it from you wordlessly, and indicates a tall tree several meters away. At first you assume she means to sit under it, but then she springs up to one of the middle branches and settles against the trunk.

You consider this with near-disbelief for a moment before suddenly reaching a realization: this is a great idea. You quickly join her on a nearby branch, positioned so that the two of you can actually see each other -- Homura is already devouring the bento with that look of partially suppressed pleasure that you so enjoy seeing on her. Madoka and Sayaka tend to be very vocal about your cooking, but Homura's reactions are, if anything, even more cherished despite their relative restraint. But... hm. Speaking of that, isn't there something odd going on here? You've obviously gone back in time, somehow, just...

It takes you a few minutes of quietly eating to place your finger on it, but when you do the realization is titanic. Madoka and Sayaka don't remember you.

"Homura," you ask, the question launching itself past your self control and out into the open, "Madoka, Sayaka, and Hitomi didn't remember me. I'm not ungrateful for it -- the opposite, I truly don't know what I would have done if not for you... but if today is March 16th, how do you know me?"

A muffled plunk draws your attention to the ground and then to Homura. She's dropped her chopsticks and is staring at you, eyes wide.

---------------

Do note that this will be the most important vote of the quest so far and has far-reaching implications. I'll be leaving this one open for a nice while. Coincidentally I have all kinds of things happening tomorrow!

You cannot bad-end. You can absolutely hurt yourself.

[x] CONTINUE WITH CAUTION

We can't truly bad end, and fuck it, there's been too much intel pipetting lately in my life. And there's never enough "other people reacting to the loops with us in close second perspective" out there. Let's see what we get.

((How much Meta knowledge does the thread have? I am unsure because this Quest began in the Mumi Quest thread. Also, how much can we exploit that Meta knowledge?))

[x] Ask if Homura would prefer to continue this conversation in private.
-[x] Continue with caution.

Rejected. The whole privacy thing is not something you really understand very well. You don't even know about how QB actually profits off of contracts.

Zilch. You effectively get to choose between plausible reactions that PMAS!Mami could be conceived to have.

then. Until or unless someone comes up with a more specific write-in.

-[X] Don't press if Homura doesn't want to talk about it.

The warning is taken and acknowledged, but my philosophy is and always remains "at least try to group up intel to avoid miscommunications", and I'm a tad tired of juggling "intel what intel let's none of us talk about things for years" lately, I'm afraid.

At least until a better vote turns up, ne?

Now, What Would Sabrina Do?
Hmm.
I'm not sure a tree is the best place for spontaneous hugs, and we don't have enough firepower for the other methods...

[x] CONTINUE WITH EXTREME CAUTION
Because there are things Mami is not meant to know.
