Considering the two remaining reports were strategic bombing and literally 8 massive spellplagues, there was no good way to handle things.

I'm not at all sure how to respond to that but obviously if you don't think it's working it's your prerogative to pull the plug.

FML though, weeks wasted and not a single major objective achieved.

I know how you feel. 2 months of convincing both sides to time their war to the moment i gain a technological edge to seize all the colonies and it ends right before i can mobilise.

Eh, drop it, let the salt mine collapse on itself, and come back to it in a while as a reboot. I'll give you lots of credit though, this was a vast undertaking and asspulling it the way you did as we went along was impressive.

While I might come back in future.... I think no magic next time. More than anything, that's what broke it.

If you do, I'd not play and offer to help you mod. I think you and I think pretty similarly when it comes to things, and work well together when I'm not mining the salt out of the earth's core for petty shit. Also you had a lot of shit on your plate.

I'm deffo playing IV tho, can't pass on that. Still down to help with colonization there.

Yeah.

Learned my lesson about trying to crash rehabilitate neglected factions and empty spheres.
I think that's the wrong lesson to learn. The issue was that I was just not able to keep the GAME alive, I was pretty sure you were going to be able to pull that off.

Don't. Gutting a major system in a setting in progress is just a bad idea. If you do come back it should be a reset to zero with just Grantville or whatever your conceit is, rather than trying to untangle magic from a setting defined by offering a magitech continuum.

Eh. The sheer amount of environmental salt and labor required should have been warning signs.

Why in the name of God would that occur.

I'm just... Horrified. Mostly because you have to end the game because someone decided to throw massive amounts of Spellplague around.

Are we spilling all our plans now, or holding off for awhile?
Well the former just seals the coffin lid while the latter is basically false hope.

I was pretty obvious. Go after China, steal their Great Power status like some sort of power stealing octopus and then invade the Dutch colonies for completeness-sake.

Along the way...I-400 raids, weather control artillery, bunraku inspired power armor transitioning in to larger and larger mechs as tech allowed. Might have invoked some Junji Ito with corpse powered versions released as drones on enemy shores what with Takako bringing interesting ideas back from Europe.

Cool, i made magical EMP lightning bombs by converting the magical batteries denmark helped me build. I also developed dieselpunk mechsuits with anti-magic armor thanks to austria chipping in the anti-mag tech.

Was planning on fighting across the planet the next turn.

I didn't have any plans, mostly because I didn't really have time to make them. Aside from breaking Germany, becoming the European hegemon, setting up my own alliance, and then laughing my way to the bank.

Had a lot of little stuff too that was going to lay the foundation for more magitech'd advances during the war. Type 93 torps, probably the best AA system with the fusion of the League and our own program, advanced ship powerplants, plastic explosives, aircraft/vehicle mounted rockets, radar gun laying for my navy... So many beautiful things.

And eventually Empress Amaterasu whenever immortal Takako could pull off her dad's sun good schtick.
