[Mafia] Debutante Mafia

Night 2 Begins!
Dusk is over!

During Dusk:
Scia voted for Eventua via PM.
No other votes were made between the end of the day and now.

That creates a tie between InterstellarHobo and Eventua. As there was a tie, InterstellarHobo, the first person to reach the tied vote count, has been banished.

------

Samantha Taylor Coolridge, isn't shocked when she is asked to leave. She is, however, an innocent attendee. Sadly this avails her not over the fact that everyone seems to know she is guilty. Between one girl's protests and everyone's votes, isn't it obvious who the matrons trust?

Still, she takes some consolation as she leaves, that there seems to be a small gathering of the other girls who've been banished nearby. The matrons nod to each other, satisfied that they've removed yet another problem child from the ball.

Night begins, and the girls are sent off to their rooms to gossip among themselves.

-----

InterstellarHobo, an attendee has been removed from the ball.
13 players remain.
Night 2 will end

Day 3 Begins
Night should be a time of peace, to cool down and recuperate for a new day of festivities. For this year's Ball, it has not been that. Between the banished girls and poor Morgana (how could anyone have believed something so obviously untrue?), the grand event has become remarkably morose. No one is surprised at the new night's rumors... enthralled, perhaps, more skeptical than yesterday for sure, but not surprised.

"Poor Persephone, to think her father....."
"Really? He was... are you sure?"
"Why, my second cousin's best friend heard it from her aunt, so it must be true."
"Well, who could doubt a story like that...."

Shocked and appalled at the stories, and doubly concerned that she might not know the truth, Persephone Bysshe Shelley, an attendee, withdraws from the event by morning. The matrons are most displeased.

-----

Persephone Bysshe Shelley, An Attendee (Vocalend) was shamed into leaving in the night.
There are currently 12 players remaining.

Day 3 has begun!
You are welcome to start posting, and voting on which fiend to be ejected from the premises. Please be excellent to one another while you sort out the mob justice.
Day 3 will end .

Oh goodness, this debutente is turning into such a sad affair!

I've allowed myself to simply vote at random, but it's clear that's far more harmful than good. I feel like I have to pay more attention, but I've never been very talented at conspiracies.

Mmm on the basis that targeting people simply for their quietness feels "off" to me at such a prestigious event...

[X] vote AlphaDelta

Well, there is only one thing to do at this situation. Roll.

Edit: Rolled myself. Gotta reroll
Edit 2: [X] Vote Eventua

Silence is a scum tactic.

It is really easy to pass off as town if you barely speak. Defending usage of a tactic is strongly anti-town.

Ooo why! Is it weird I'm excited I got a vote? Also surprised I'm the only one jumping on ondine so far
I normally would do this, but I'm going to stick by my policy vote.

Policy votes exist to discourage certain actions in site meta, short of a modkill.

Three things:
1. Don't edit.
2. That vote isn't going to count.
3. While using verified dice isn't verboten, it's scummy af. I have an explicit policy to vote anyone who does so.

Note: I don't have a policy against people "claiming" to roll dice, or choose randomly. However, I treat this the same as "I have a reason, but I'm not telling you", and consider it perfectly acceptable to lie about claimed dice results.

*rolls 1d1 on the policy list*

Lady Keene aims a sharp glare at the Lady Carroll, and holds it for a moment. "I'm going to return to you in a bit."

Next, she delivers a series of scathing remarks: parliamentary in civility, but with enough passion to scald.

It feels as though Voca, being someone active and close to unraveling the bullies' schemes, was shamed to leave for being outspoken. By golly, such pettiness! I can hardly blame others for not being as active, considering the state of affairs in the world as of late, and their possible unfamiliarity with the game itself (same goes for me).
IH, being town, makes this clearer that some people such as Voca were misguided in their voting by various... dastardly elements.
From looking at the previous votes as well, shown below, Happery was voted out by tie and Est was taken out by the meanies who are among us.
Final totals
Happerry- 2 votes (InterstellarHobo, Wind-up Citrus)
Mesonoxian- 2 votes (Zaealix, ondine)
Carol- 2 votes (tootitorbootit, Carol)
ondine- 1 vote (Mesonoxian)
Vocalend- 1 vote (Eventua)
Alphadelta- 1 vote (Alphadelta)
InterstellarHobo - 1 vote (Est)
Wind-up Citrus- 1 vote (Happerry)
Carol- 1 vote (Carol)
(Some of those were probs some voting glitch, considering how a few of them voted for themselves, apparently ._.)
and from the tally from last night:
InterstellarHobo: ondine, tootitorbootit, Wind-Up Citrus, and Vocalend
Eventua: Alphadelta, Zaealix, InterstellarHobo
ondine: mesonoxian
Scia: Eventua
Red highlights for the ones voted out, yellow for the ones shamed out.
Considering the people who are bullies might be consistently voting together, we have a small group that I consider to be potential bullies:
Wind-Up Citrus, Zaealix, ondine, tootitorbootit, Alphadelta.
Now, I'm sure these are all fine people, but I can assure you that if they do find me a threat, they will move to either get rid of me in the night phase or in a vote somehow. Thoughts on this analysis?

While I agree on the dice part being kind of weird, I don't think silence in this game would definitely be a scum thing, as you need to consider that this is a game targeted towards less veteran/newbies (like moi), and adding into the fact that I've been just kind of out of it, might not be able to come up with some contrived plan of approach towards the game itself.
Sorry if it seems like I was trying to slip under the radar or whatever.

(sorry, been a bit busy and mentally frazzled by some personal stuff to make up a response)

Hrrm. Having revisited an earlier vote count, It seems I cannot get away with the scheme I had hoped. Ah well, subterfuge at this point seems risky given my own reputation is somewhat...dubious.
SO!

I will admit, yesterday my head and vote spun like a top, but today I intend to be like a compass, aimed unerringly at one target. And I still did not approve of your joke with the punch, Bobbie!

Nope, 100% intentional on my part. It's a deliberate signal that "if anyone's getting voted out, it might as well be me". At least I think that was the reasoning – I've had an exam since then, so my memory's a bit fuzzy.

I'm not sure about Carol, though.

I can assure you that I'm town. :V

Can you explain how you derived the second group, though?

Nah, it's fine.

I lean into it a lot because I need to get the message across: "Please talk." It's fine if you have a reason to not talk, but if you don't, having enough info for town outside a single-axis two-person throwdown is important.

Reminder: as it stands, you're putting a proxy vote behind Ondine, not voting for Ondine.

I thought it DIDN'T work that way, which is annoying, because that's why I changed my vote in the first place! Bah!

A few things:

Do not edit posts. I believe this incident was a mistake, but if it happens again, the player in question will be modkilled.

@Zaealix the only votes I will accept are those in the format of "vote [name]" rather than the name alone.

To everyone else, please remember to post at least once per Day phase.

Ah. Alright so yeah, as I thought after double-checking
[X] Vote Ondine.
I supposed this means technically I didn't throw a vote that first confused day...

Considering that ondine IH was one of the fight tickets there about who of them was scum ondine being one seems more likely now.
To explain my voting, I voted for the one that I knew was voting for a debutante as I felt it was 50/50 on the IH /Ondine debate.
Of course should ondine be innocent of any wrongdoing I am not sure where else to go after that.

It is good to see more people posting!

@ondine kept pushing IH on what were really flimsy grounds and stuck to it in the face of multiple attempts to explain why it wasn't a good idea. Trying to get someone lynched without really answering any counterarguments is always dubious. It seemed pretty scummy to me beforehand, and now that IH has flipped town, I don't see too many ways for town!ondine to make sense.

I'm willing to listen to any defense or arguments for other people as better targets, but until then ondine has my vote.

[X] vote ondine

I mean.. I was wrong? I don't know what to tell you. But given that I was .. the only person pushing much of anything.. I'm sure it looks like I tried to drag you all to vote for a townie like the pied piper of hamlin, but consider, if I were scum would I lead the charge so incredibly obviously and make myself a target? No. I would not. Meso having scummed with me can attest to the fact that I would make a point of not being the only voice in the room. I've got more than twice the posts of basically everyone else. So yeah I led the vote. And yeah, I was wrong. I do not think my reasoning was totally off (and I think it certainly played out more in night two). I just think I was thinking like vets and not considering that newer players may not be considering all the tricks. With that in mind I think my vote will be on @tootitorbootit or @Zaealix or the other wagon which was Eventua. The IH wagon got kinda big, and I don't doubt there were scum on it. I think I'll park myself on Zaealix for now until they explain what they meant about subterfuge? (But I'm actually feeling more strongly about toot and eventua. Will explain after I hear from zaealix. )

Someone looking to play tricks.. is not a towny thing to do. A town person wants to be open with their peers, even if they end up being wrong, it's a scum move to try to hide your movtives and your actions.
[x] vote Zaealix

You can vote for me. But it's the easiest vote. It doesn't actually take any solving, it's sort of a low hanging obvious vote based entirely on outcomes and not intentions. And I'm town. So, you know. Voting me out won't help win.

Also, I think it might be time for a cop to speak up. What do you think @mesonoxian? @AlphaDelta ?

We are probably almost at parity. I would bet this is lylo (lynch or lose) or mylo (mislynch and lose), and if not tomorrow almost certainly is.

Speaking of roles, there may be the possibility that in this game the only non townie roles were Cop and Doctor. If there is no Mayor than this is the last two days of this game should we choose wrong.
