[X] "Let them walk into the ambush when they attack, so will we."
[x] Write-in: "Wait until the elves are about to be ambushed, then alert them so that the two sides fight fiercely. When the battle is turning in the orc's favor, we attack the orcs, crushing them. The rescued elves will witness the power of our Lord, and spread the news."

Part 8
"Let's get this over now."

Grashki grins at that. "Good," he comments and begins to load his crossbow. As he does that, he calls out to his Uruks. "Alright, lads! Time to teach these curls what a real Uruk is! The Gundabad fools first than it's open shooting!"

"And watch the damn Goblins!" You're quick to add. You once saw how swiftly Goblins could scale anything, even walls that looked unclaimable. It would be a lousy distraction if these little bastards would pull that stunt now. "And now shooting of elves! If someone "forgets" his orders, I skin him alive!"

There is some grumbling after that, but it quickly quiets down as the Uruks take aim at their targets. You follow their example and pick the most prominent, meanest looking Gundabad Orc as your target.

Then you yell "Fire!" and all of Mordor breaks loose. Most of the Gundabad Orcs are hit by more than one bolt, some collapse right away, some scream in surprise and one stumbles from the pass. His fall down towards the valley is only commented by his own cry of shock and horror. Only a few Gundabad Orcs that live to look around after the salvo, do so in alarm. Around them, the Snaga and Goblins scream in fear. With the second salvo kills their strong leaders once and for all.

You hear more screams and watch as many of the enemies begin to flee when they realize that they are easy targets. But some of the Snagas take their bows and begin to fire back at your boys. Of the Goblins, some are braver once in their lives and begin to climb up towards your Uruks. They seem to think they will have a better chance to survive if they face you, the idiots. As another of the Goblins falls under your bolt, you have a short moment to look past the carnage and towards the caravan of elves who stopped far enough that they can watch it all. Some of them have weapons, and the warriors gather at the front of the train. For the moment, it seems they are happy with holding back. Typical elven weaklings.

You glance down the mountain and notice that the Goblins have almost reached you. It is time to make a decision …

[ ] Fight them directly at the edge of the mountain cliff.
[ ] Stepp a bit back, so your boy's don't face the danger of falling down.

Part 9
[x] Stepp a bit back, so your boy's don't face the danger of falling down.

"Back you bastards! Give the Goblins some room! Let them climb up proper, and then we kill'em!" You shoot your orders, and the Uruk's follow them, but they don't seem happy about it. You don't care as yourself step back and draw your sword. It doesn't take long, and soon the first Goblin heads appear. They don't even take time to regroup after the climb, they throw themselves towards your Uruks. What follows is nothing you would call a battle. It was more like a clash of bodies and violence. Screams and grunts filled the ear as both sides collided and started to hack at each other with their own weapons.

For a wail, the fight seemed balanced, the brutal strength and superior reach of the Uruks held back by the higher numbers of the Goblins. Then your plan began to show its fruits. After the first storm, the Goblin had slowed down, and your Uruks began the knife work, the following Goblins started to get in the way of the fighting once.

When Grashki ordered: "Push them back!" and the Uruks started to move forwards the first Goblins fall over the edge with screams. After that order, the fight was quickly over as the Goblins had only three choices. To die by a blade or falling over the edge. The more intelligent once, at the edges of the fight, run away. When the last of the Goblins who had resisted finally had been killed, you all were breathing heavily. You all stood there for a moment than an urge began to crawl up in all of you. By yourself, it brock free first, and you scream your triumph out into the cold, mountain air quickly followed by the other Uruks.

When the feeling of the first triumph started to leave you and was replaced with the good sense of having won a fight, you looked down towards the elven caravan. The elves still stood where they had been when the fighting had begun. Only that they were now ready for a fight. Their warriors were all gathered, and you could see how the last of them put on some mail or helmets. It seemed like the elves finally realized that the mountains were a dangerous place to be - go figure. Without your intervention, they would have paid a bloody bill if they had walked into the ambush. No wonder Búbhosh-Ghâsh had sent his best warriors here to fight against Sauron scum!

Maybe you should go down and talk with them. Make sure the elves were all right and over them an escort. After all, elves were so easy to break, different then Uruks. When you heard a scream behind you, you saw that Grashki and his boys had found some survivors among the Goblins. Huh, maybe that little rat had some information.

What to do?

[ ] Go, speak with the elves first. Grashki can handle a bit of information gathering by himself.

[ ] Better hear by yourself what the little rat is quicking about. Maybe it is something useful!

I don't think Tolkien elves have pointed ears.

It doesn't matter what we learn if elves butcher us xD
