Date: No idea
Location: Large Island, East of Antagarich
Situation: Shipwrecked
The patrol of Erathian warships definitely was unexpected, the storm you sailed into after you barely escaped with heavy damage to your ship equally so, although to your shame you have to admit that you should've seen the later coming before you ended up in the middle of it. Ultimately it was a matter of luck that ensured that the situation didn't get even worse when your ship sunk. First, you can dissolve into water, can't drown and if you have to also walk on water. The advantages of being a water spirit. Secondly, you were accompanied by several fellow Nymphs who dragged your crew towards a nearby island... the same one where now remains of your ship are stranded on a beach. At least your crew had the good sense to allready set up a camp a bit further away from the very same beach.
Stewardship (Choose one):
[] Secure the cargo!: Hopefully some of your cargo and ill gotten gains have survived without ending up on the bottom of the sea and can still be recovered from the ship, especially since you are going to need everything you can get. Of course, one would assume that it wouldn't be too much of a problem for you and your fellow Nymphs to recover anything that ended up on the bottom of the ocean, but... its a bit too heavy to carry. And usually attracts too many monsters. Chance of Success: 70% Reward: Gold and Materials
[] Scavenge: You will need materials if you are going to turn your camp into more than a collection of ramshackle huts and tents. Send your men out to cut down some trees and collect anything that could be used as building materials. Chance of Success: 80% Reward: Materials
[] Where is the Quartermaster?: You need SOMEONE to keep track of what your men can scrounge together. Maybe your quartermaster has survived and if not then hopefully someone else has enough of their wits left to take the position. Chance of Success: 90% Reward: Advisor and the ability to expand your camp
Martial (Choose one):
[] Patrol: You have no idea who or what lives on this island and neither do you know what lurks about near your camp itself. Sending out a patrol might stop most at least minor dangers dead in their tracks. Chance of Success: 80% Reward: Possibility of being spared trouble. For now.
[] Search for Nymphs: Another advantage of being an Oceanid is the fact that Nymphs tend to be rather willing to follow you... and there are many of them on the islands and ocean near Regna ever since the Regnan mages managed to summon and bind the first ones several years ago. Maybe you can find some nearby you could ask for help. Chance of Success: 75% Cost: 50 Gold Reward: Additional Nymphs
[] Fortify the camp: A palisade and a few lookout-towers around the camp would probably help a lot if any hostile wildlife decides to visit. Let your men take care of that. Chance of Success: 85% Cost: 50 Gold/50 Ressources Reward: Wildlife and locals less dangerous to your camp
[] Where is my First Mate?: Someone needs to have an eye on your men and keep them in line, especially since they are now understandably cranky and disorganised. Check if your First Mate is still alive and if not who could do with a sudden promotion. Chance of Success: 90% Reward: Advisor and the ability to properly recruit and train troops
Intrigue (Choose one):
[] Scout the Island: You don't know anything about the island and as far as you can remember it did not appear on any of your maps, which just makes it worse. Have some of your men take a look around and try to draw a map of the island to hopefully get a better idea of what lurks around here. Chance of Success: 70% Reward: Informations about the island
[] Lookout posts: Have your scouts create a few lookout platforms in the nearby jungle from which to securely keep an eye on any activity near the camp. Chance of Success: 80% Cost: 50 Gold/50 Ressources Reward: +5 for all Intrigue rolls on the Island
[] I need a Spymaster... if one could call it that: Another problem, you have nobody to keep an eye on your scouts once they head out and you can't handle everything yourself. So... find someone who can and will handle this for you. Chance of Success: 90% Reward: Advisor and the ability to spy on Enemies
Diplomacy:
There is nobody here to talk to.
Learning:
There is nothing to learn... and no space to do so anyway.
Piety:
You have other problems than your gods.
Personal:
[] Personal attention: If you want something done right, then do it yourself. Chance of Success: 100% Reward: Your stats added to an action of your choice.
[] Training: Perhaps you can spare some time to train and learn a bit. Admittedly, you are only abover average compared to many other Captains of Regna. Chance of Success: 100% Reward: +1 on a random stat
(Okay, don't worry everyone. It will only take four turns at most until you get a ship and the ability to be active away from the island. This is only the introduction. I will hammer out some mechanics during those turns. Also... if anyone has a suggestion for a picture for Iris, then I would appreciate them.)
