Link in Warhammer Fantasy Mk3

I think this should be 4+. He does not seem to be wearing any other armor and the shield only improves armor by +3.
I think Link mk.2 could beat him most of the time.
1. Run away and shoot.
He has 1 move on Mk.3 and could play keep away until he runs out of ammo. This will take over 30 turns to run out of ammo at 4 shots a turn.
Even if he does in theory run out, hundreds of bullets takes it's toll on even the toughest man.

2. mono a mono
They both render the other's toughness and armor irrelevant. While the Master Sword bypasses mk.2's ward save, mk.2s skill is enough to equalize with the ward save difference. They both can self restore once. That just leaves mk.2s magic and guns (on the charge). While mk.3 can defend against them, he can only lower the advantage they give, not balance it out.

oh sweet another one of these! where are we this time?

The first thing you do, before anything else, is look behind you.
You smile, because Epona is there waiting for you. Mounting up, you have her trot towards the smoke of a settlement. It shouldn't be long.

You escape the woods in short order and see an expanse of rolling plains as far as the eye can see. It is prime horse territory. Then you look to the source of the smoke, and see it is a small village, although the walls look strong enough.

You direct Epona to take you to the village. It doesn't take too long to reach it.

You stop in front of the gate, and listen to the people standing guard yell gibberish at you.

"[Hold! Identify yourself.]"

"[He has a horse, is he a noble?]"

"[No, he's an elf, see the ears?]"

Which leaves you at a bit of a loss.

OOC: This fought me every inch of the way

[x] Tell them you don't understand them and wait.

Need to figure out communication issues and the sooner the better to avoid misunderstandings.

[x]dismount while visibly keeping your hands away from your equipment. hold your hands before you to show they are empty and offer a greeting before giving your name while gesturing towards yourself.

even if they can't under stand us we can put them at ease by coming down to their level, showing we mean no harm and offering a greeting and self introduction at ease somewhat.

Any option that involves Link talking is OOC.

BTW, I know it's an abstraction for gameplay folks, still standing by it. Nods, shakes, and pointing were enough to save Hyrule a dozen times, it'll do here.

I want the dismount and talk option... but I really can't go argue that Link simply doesn't talk. I'm pretty sure he's mute. Just capable of making battle-cries and the like. Should make the whole quest much more entertaining to have him go through the entire thing without saying a word though.

To my knowledge, the only canon evidence for or against Link talking comes from Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild - and the Links in those can talk (WW when directing dungeon followers, and BotW in backstory(he's selectively mute, following getting the Master Sword)).

So, since this is post Master Sword link he wouldn't talk?
It's not Breath of the Wild Link we're playing as though (BotW Link never got most of the magical items the first post notes as absent, for one), and also it wasn't the master sword itself that caused it - BotW Link got said sword at literally the start of his heroing career, whereas most Links have already had the time to get used to the pressure by the time they get ahold of the magical/divine artifact older than civilization itself.

Honestly, we've got no indication either way whether the Link we're playing as can talk or not.

Other than. Y'know. The QM-provided Vote option that explicitly has us talk. Unless aranfan's pulling some "say apple" thing on us, I think it's safe to say this Link is able to talk.

EDIT: Although I guess the option I was considering could probably be done with Charades. Would actually have a likely-better chance of working if done with charades even,
