The Combat form quickly typed into alien panels the language something unknown, but the layout deeply familiar, the reactor was glowing and the two of them could feel the world shaking outside this place was falling apart the storm was howling.
The combat form stopped, the panel now glowing blue. For a moment the tension left, the klaxons started singing and blue flashing lights filled the room.
"The systems are too alien, we can't stop it."
"The system Chamber base One could break it cause it to shut down. This room will become lethal."
They looked at one another and the one at the panel nodded, the other left as the combat form drags up their arm the shield pointing at the glass of the viewport into the chamber. "Poor design." The shield falls and the room is filled with light and the outside goes quite the massive Mass Effect cores slowing down the storm falling silent and the earthquakes calm.

One of your ships fall then another, the ship minds grimace as the aliens do not let up, as another is destroyed. Moments later all goes quiet as the expedition is destroyed.
The Grand Conglomerate looks over the report. "The fleet never reported back after they sent out the courier. Most likely they are destroyed." The Turian grimaces.

"While they do pose a threat we are an act of war with the hierarchy this only proves that we need to focus more on that front in order to close it out before the aliens attack us."

The front is something that can not be ignored, the Hierarchy is pushing deep into Alliance Space and more worlds fall each year, it looks like it will be a slow grind to halt the advance.

The station where the Lekgolo made the compact with the Alliance, the Turians gave the station to the Confederacy as part of the compact, but we have done very little with it perhaps that should change.

The Confederacy needs worlds to grow more Lekgolo, needs stations to build more ship, need mines to fund the endless gears of war.

still got about an hour before we can vote their buddy
I'm actually tempted to go with compact of worlds or possibly vish again to hope to build a strong buffer so if things do devolve into a war on two fronts we can at least have solid defenses up to protect at least one front so we could afford to focus on the other.
